I'm really impressed by your beautiful soprano voice. I first discovered you back in December while hunting for high-quality versions of Handel's Tornami a vagheggiar from Alcina-I especially look for ones with smooth, non-wobbly vibratos after Dr. Hanna Lee's incredible recording was unfortunately taken down. You’re truly one of the lucky few without that strong wobble that, in my experience, most sopranos seem to have these days. Though I’m not a singer myself (I play bagpipes, and I swear by Peter Henderson, the 'Stradivaris' of bagpipes!), I can usually spot a wobble when it affects a singer’s trilling ability. Of course, some singers with what I'd call a 'hot' vibrato may not trill as swiftly either, but your technique is truly something special-rare in today’s opera world, where that “wobble epidemic” seems all too common. I really hope others appreciate just how vibrant your vibrato is; sadly, many seem to prefer that wobbly sound, which I feel gives opera a bad reputation. Keep up the fantastic work - you’re one remarkable coloratura! P.S. I occasionally share my thoughts on sopranos on my channel. Haven't had the chance to feature you yet, but I'd absolutely love to.
Well, hello there! You are a really lovely soprano. I discovered you back in December as I was trying to find rare and good (i.e. no specifically wobbly vibratos) versions of Handel's "Tornami Vaggeggiar" aria from Alcina ever since Dr. Hanna Lee's amazing version got kicked off. You're absolutely fortunate that you don't have that serious WOBBLE which I must confess about 90 percent most sopranos have. While I'm not a singer (I play the bagpipes LOL... GO PETER HENDERSON the Stradivari!, and Mazzillo, Strad. of Italian bagpipes), I can usually tell if someone has a wobble because of their lack of their trill dexterity. Then again though, not every soprano with a specifically "hot" vibrato can trill that dexterously, so I've heard it both ways. But, I just wanted to say how much I find your voice just absolutely stunning, and very VERY rare to hear in the world of modern opera singers infested with the wobble-epedemic. I sure hope other people don't put you down for how, let's just safely say "hot", your vibrato is. I've known people who shun hot vibratos and prefer ice-cold wobbles, which I think is the reason why most people disgrace opera. But keep it up, you absolutely awesome coloratura! BTW, as a followup, I've reacdted to some sopranos on my channel. Haven't reacted to you yet but I'd love to.
