Yosemite National Park | Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley
Day 1: 10.7 mi + 2,115/1,000 ft gain/loss
We took the bus from Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne Meadows and started our backpacking trip from the Cathedral Lakes Trailhead. We spent an hour swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the views at Upper Cathedral lake. The last leg of the day was a 5 mile trek to Sunrise lakes. We stopped at the the first lake we encountered (I think Sunrise Lake #3) just before sunset and set up camp.
Day 2: 8.88 mi + 1,628/3,200 ft gain/loss
We packed up camp and headed out for a 5.5 mile hike to Clouds Rest. The hike up to Clouds Rest was difficult and precarious especially with our packs on, but the views were worth it. After eating lunch on top of Clouds Rest, we descended for several miles until we reached out campsite for the night at the junction of the Clouds Rest Trail/John Muir Trail.
Day 3: 7.92 mi + 2,266/3,000 ft gain/loss
We were only 2.6 miles from Half Dome, so we decided to hike with only our day packs. In my opinion, the hike up Sub Dome was more difficult than the cables section to summit Half Dome. The views were absolutely incredible so we took our time on the summit. After we got back to camp, we decided to make our last day shorter so we packed up our stuff and headed for Little Yosemite Valley.
Day 4: 5.79 mi + 2,200 ft loss
We left Little Yosemite Valley and hiked down to Yosemite Valley along the Merced River. This hike had a ton of elevation loss and took us passed Nevada Falls and Liberty Cap.

Glacier National Park | 3 Day Backpacking Trip
มุมมอง 2202 ปีที่แล้ว
We started this trip at the Belly River Trailhead right by the Canadian border. After hiking about 6mi we reached our first campsite, Gable Creek Campground. The next day we decided to go a bit out of our way to see Dawn Mist Falls & Elizabeth Lake. Then, we stopped at Cosley Lake soaking in the views for over an hour before hiking to Glenn's Lake and setting up camp. Our third and final day, w...
Glacier National Park | Siyeh Pass

8.2.2022 Day 1 of our trip to Glacier National Park, we hiked the Siyeh Pass trail. It is 10.1 miles long with approximately 2,200 feet of elevation gain (Siyeh Bend to Sunrift Gorge). If you go the opposite direction, you can expect at least another 1,000 feet of gain. The trail takes you through 2 valleys on either side of Siyeh Pass, with panoramic views the entire way. Both valleys are fill...

Nice job. Planning to be there in June. Our trip from Toulumne got canceled last year due to fire. Hoping this year there's been enough rain to keep the fires at bay. Considering adding in Clouds Rest on the back end of our planed route. Watching this makes me want to put n the effort to do that

Hope you're able to go this year and I would definitely recommend Clouds Rest if you have the chance. Its tough but worth it!

Hey guys, GREAT video. I plan on doing that hike this summer. Can you share where the campsite is at the JMT/clouds rest trailhead, and how far the JMT/Clouds rest trail head is from Half Dome? Thanks, Darryl

Thanks! If youre coming from Toulumne meadows and take the clouds rest trail this campsite was about 100 yards before the trail meets back up with the JMT. From there it was about 0.5mi to the halfdome trail head and then another 2 or so to get to Half Dome.
