I appreciate this tour more than you know, thank you so much for making it. I used to go to Lloyd Center every Saturday with my grandparents, and those are some of the best memories of my life. I still remember where all my favorite stores were, and watching this video brought back so many good memories.

Growing up with grandparents who lived on Devil's Loop, Devil's Lake always seemed somewhat eerie like there was always a faint shadow cast on it as if it came out of Donnie Darko or something.

I lived near where the video starts at the long light. From '93-'00

So gray and dreary. No wonder so many people there are mentally unstable.

Thinking about a move to Wenatchee from the Seattle metro area. Have been looking at houses on Zillow, and trying to get a sense of West & East Wenatchee from Google maps. This was an excellent drive around, especially appreciate you hitting some of the surrounding neighborhoods outside the major thorough fares and business districts. Now I need to find a weekend to visit, drive around myself, and then engage a local realtor.

What do you use to record? A dash cam? GoPro? Something else?

Talk about memory lane me and my brother was there 2 yrs ago had a blast

That's my parents house on the left when the video first starts. I was born and raised in Detroit and on that property. I was there when the fire hit and had to evacuate. Heartbreaking to loose all the trees and homes. My parents rebuilt thier home with the help of Christian aid Ministries and NW rebuild. Unfortunately, most of the locals left and didn't return. Detroit is much different now. Thank you for the video.

Elgin isa quaint usually peaceful town. We moved here when I was in 5th grade in 1965 and I loved every year of school! We had great teachers and lots of 4-H projects. We lived on the farm 3 miles out so we could walk or ride bicycles to town in the summer or ride horses. Elgin's Opera House used to be a movie house when I was young. The plays and such that are part of the life of the Opera House are well made and wonderful to watch. My two favorite were "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". I thought that it was just as good if not better than the real movie. The second was "Fiddler on the Roof". Boise Cascade is a logging mill that makes plywood and is the main employer in town. The school system is the next largest employer. The Elgin Food Town and Elgin Corner Market are the two grocery stores. There are 3 main eating places. Although we are small we are a friendly area and if you want to move somewhere quiet and with easy access to medical and hospital facilities, they are only 20-30 minutes away in LaGrande, Oregon. We also have a medical and dental clinic that are a blessing to us. The two butchers are in town that help with domestic animals and the deer and elk that are taken during the hunting season. There are several church groups for you to choose from, also. All in all Elgin is a wonderful place to live and raise kids in, or retire in!

Thanks for the video! Taking a cruise to Alaska in July and will be staying at Double Tree Inn at south center two nights before boarding our ship. Looks like there's plenty to see and do in the area! We'll be on foot so this is great.

I agree Lewiston is one of the worst places to live and it's filled with illegals. I can't wait for president Trump to remove all these illegals. Another thing I noticed is where are all the people? They should have taken a picture of Portland Maine and all the towns around the ocean that's beautiful the Lewiston not a good place to live....

it didn’t have to be raining to portray the City of Lewiston as a very depressing place…. even before the shootings…. The City of Lewiston is the second largest city in the state, yet there is no movie theater in the city. All of the major department stores and restaurants have left town. The Sears, Roebuck store has been closed for more than ten years and remains vacant. Even more than half of the Catholic churches have closed…. very, very depressing….

I'm originally from Florida and currently living in Texas...but I lived for about five years in Portland, I think I may want to retire somewhere in Southern Oregon, it's just so beautiful and not too crowded.

Does this area of southwest oregon have better weather than northwest oregon like Portland, Salem and Eugene? it seems that way. I hate Portland weather.

Oregon born and raised. Live in Texas now. Had to take a road trip to Grand Junction Colorado for work. Colorado is beautiful. But Oregon in my opinion is even prettier. We even have a coastline to boot.
