Last October 12 and 13 at Ayala Malls TriNoma in Manila Philippines for the Bushiroad EXPO 2024, I was fortunate to meet one of the members of the real-life Japanese all-female rock band called MyGO!!!!! the band's rhythm guitarist and the seiyuu for Chihaya Anon from BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! the lovely Tateishi Rin-chan in the autograph sessions at the event and the crazy part is the autograph sessions are limited to 30 people and are won via lottery kinda of like a gacha that you have to get a number from 1- 30, the fact that I've got a slot for both days is just pure luck, and it still feel so surreal that I didn't just beat the odds but I also managed to meet her in person both days and I swear I just can't explain how beautiful and radiant she is and probably one of the nicest people I've ever met, she's so nice, friendly, and she really is such a sweetheart and I swear once I finally moved to Japan, MyGO!!!!! will be one of those bands that I will going to watch perform live.

I just attended Bushiroad EXPO 2024 in Manila last Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13 and on both days I met Anon's seiyuu and the guitarist for the real-life MyGO!!!!! the lovely Tateishi Rin-chan in the autograph sessions, and these autograph sessions are only limited to 30 people and slots are won by a lottery kinda like a form of a gacha and you have to pick a number from 1-30 then it qualifies you to purchase her Bromide which is like a postcard with a picture of her in it and that Bromide is where she will sign and luckily for me in both days I'm one of those lucky participants who got a chance to meet her and I swear I can't describe how beautiful and radiant she is, she's so nice, friendly and she really is such a sweetheart.

Whenever Im reading the chapters of this manga I have a huge smile on my face. Its really soo good.

I didn't expect to like this whole franchise as much as I did. Even got slightly obsessed with the game and I don't usually like mobile or gacha games. All I have left to watch is Argonavis which I'll get to soon just for completion's sake.

Great review and glad you enjoyed MyGO Been a BanG Dream fan for many years but fell off over time as overseas activities died out Personal first impression of MyGO was indifferent as the series had trouble of providing content for the other bands so adding another was more fuel to the fire (they announced the IRL band first, had a few lives, shorts, and songs over a year til they announced the anime, I watched none of it) As the anime aired my timeline on social media exploded with discussions, fanart, clips from old mutuals, so I decided to watch it myself MyGO is the best work the franchise has done and reignited my love for BanG Dream I'll do what it takes to fly to Japan to watch them live

This is certainly a heck of a season. Every time I check a recommendations video, I somehow walk away with _another_ top-tier show for my watchlist...

wonder egg was a really good weekly experience even with the delays and recap episode. the story just ended up biting off more than it could chew. still a really good anime original especially considering it only had 13 episodes

despite the ending, Wonder Egg Priority still holds a special place in my heart. I still use Ai emotes with friends

SERIOUSLY, WATCH IT

A bad ending doesn't necessarily ruin a good show for me, but the same can't be said for a "no ending". One of the clearest examples of this for me is a show called Stars Align: one of my standout favorite shows of 2019, and all the more notable for being a sports show, a genre I don't normally spring for. Throughout the season, it steadily won me over with its crisp animation, multifaceted characters, and an endearing plot of a ragtag bunch of misfits learning to try their hardest to protect the one place they can feel like they belong. And then it just... ended. Abruptly. Right after a solid defeat that seemed more than anything like it was setting up a triumph later down the line. No plot threads resolved. No closure of any kind. It was just... over. And I can never think about this show I loved, anymore, without remembering how it utterly failed to make good on any of its promises. It's like it died, and I never got to say goodbye.

I have wanted to watch this for a long time but right now I'm not mentally in a place to handle angst.

hello! major afterglow fan here, i absolutely adored the inclusion of my fav girls in mygo <3 all of the existing characters' appearances were so intentional and had meaning for both existing bandori fans and those who have never even heard of it. though, already being a fan made it so so soooo much better! for example, when ran and tomoe were watching the mygo girls during their first soundcheck, they were intimidated, and in the dressing room taki literally knocked over a piece of furniture from shock about her favourite band coming in. though, its hilarious because afterglow are the most goofy harmless characters yet they come off so scary and its amazing to see that

I feel like you summed up my viewpoints well. The things Jellyfish did right, it did amazingly well, and those successes shouldn't be disregarded just because it fumbled on its major plot thread. It's just a shame, since I can remember weaker seasons where something like this would have definitely stood out as a favorite... but instead it wound up directly competing against _two_ of my personal top 5 anime. Truly, life is cruel.

Thanks for the video! I agree with nearly all of your points, but wouldn't really say this show was noticably worse than GBC - they're just good at different things. GBC absolutely took the cake when it comes to visuals, music, and how flashy the live performances were. Still, I would argue the last couple of episodes were just as rushed as jellyfish - I felt like the first season should have ended on a high note after the music fest performance. The other two episodes were like a cramped intro to season two. Also, as you mentioned in the video, jellyfish had some really heartfelt moments with Kiui, Baba, and Mei, so I think it wins over in terms of emotional impact. I also absolutely can relate - there is a TON of promising titles this season! Doga Kobo are on a streak with Oshi no Ko and Roshidere right after jellyfish.
