Oh lord Lee 😢 you have certainly both worked hard to maintain your allotment. But Mother Nature just has different plans. Brian is always under water it seems. Are there any other plots you can move over to? Hope the storm passes without too much damage 🙏🙏, Ali 🥶 🌞🇨🇦

You certainly have some challenges Lee, I have a pair of Wellington boots on my allotment, but never used them. I personally would raise the allotment level up using woodchips and dig out the soil and fill the beds up at a higher point.

Yep looks like sprouting broccoli 🥦 so hopefully you’ll get lots next spring. My leeks were quite small this year too Lee and some have been in for ages. Steam the brussel sprout heads then sauté with garlic and olive oil 😋😋. 😂😂 do gardeners ever make up their minds. Such a shame about the flooding guys. Hope the new plants do well. Trade you tomatoes for potato’s 😂🤣 we got none not one. But tomatoes packed in the freezer. And yes one more picking of maybe 30 tomatoes. I’ll be glad to rip the plants from the buckets and ground and never plant that many again. But on the upside we had a delicious spaghetti meal with Home Made Sauce last night. Cheers

I always find it fascinating that robins know when you’re disturbing the soil and they come looking for worms etc. It’s pouring here so a good excuse to catch up 👍👍. Nothing looks better to a gardener than a lovely clean newly topped bed. Bloody awful when thieves steal your stuff 🤬🤬. You’re still getting great harvests Lee even in October. At least you got some potato’s ,we got zero , the squirrels got some , But we got killed on the tomatoes .. 1 more harvest making it 11 . Only about 40 more tomatoes 😂 Thank GOD I thought I was going to have to open a sauce factory or something.,. My neighbor planted corn and I watched the squirrels take every single one 😂.lol Cheers
