Experience a jaw-dropping view while swimming in the cold and refreshing waters of Kapatagan. This resort right here helps you unwind from the hustle and bustle and pollution from the cities. This resort is located at Barangay Kapatagan South, Digos City, Davao del Sur where the best view of Mt. Apo can be seen. Entrance fees: Adults - 50 Pesos & Child - 25 Pesos if you are only planning for sightseeing and a separate payment for the use of the swimming pool: Adult - 100 pesos & Child - 50 pesos. Pavilion Cottage per day - 5,000 pesos
Twin Bed Room for 4 persons - 3,000 to 4,000 pesos
Room for 6 persons - 3,000 pesos
Single Bed Room for 2 persons - 1,500 pesos
Open Cottage (Day Tour) - 500 pesos
Due to the COVID Pandemic, this resort requires early bookings if you are planning for an overnight stay. We tried to arrive at 8 am from Davao City for a walk-in check-in but failed. But if you are planning for a day tour, the resort can offer cottages, tables, and chairs to accommodate your stay. You can also grill meat on their grill station if you ever brought your food or dine in on their catering services if ever you need food and drinks after a tiring swim. The downside of having your food and drinks is that they charge a corkage for the below items:
Food:
Lechon per piece - 300 pesos
Drinks per Bottle:
Coke Sakto - 10 pesos each
Coke Kasalo - 15 pesos each
1-2 Liters - 20 pesos each
Beer(bottle/can) - 30 pesos each
Wine - 30 pesos each
Hard Drinks:
Emperador - 40 pesos each
Tanduay - 40 pesos each
Fundador -60 pesos each
As a pandemic precaution, Upon arriving, you are entertained by the resort staff immediately with their face mask worn and assist you with your needs. Social Distancing and Facemask protection are being compiled inside the resort. When at the pool or in any area of the resort, always distance yourself from other tourists.
All in all, our day tour was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed having pictures of us on their picturesque spots having the peak of the Mt. Apo as our background.
Travel Tips:
1. We will highly recommend using the route in the picture if you don't want to experience a very bumpy and river like rocks on the rough roadway. Luckily, we were using an off-road pick-up truck while passing the area but for low ground clearance vehicles, we would highly recommend the cement road even if it is a little bit far.
2. Parking spaces are limited inside the resort. Tourists should arrive earlier to avail of the parking area. Else, your vehicle will be park outside the resort area.
3. Book your rooms a week ahead to avoid inconvenience on your road trip if you are planning for an overnight stay.
4. Bring your food to reduce the cost of your road trip. Some travelers ate outside the resort where it is shaded by trees while still enjoying their stay at the resort.
5. Bring an extra jacket or an extra blanket to avoid the cold breeze at night.
