Aww… Thanks so much Lia! I got you 😉🥂
Don’t you have SCHD? Or did I miss it
I do not….
Another great informational / educational videos from Dream - love dream!
You know it! 😉 - DREAM 😘 🙏 🫵
Great move Dream! I started investing for dividends growth. But for last 3 years I have realized that selling options can not only expedite the process but can generate passive income that can then be used to buy quality ETFs and stocks to accelerate the snowball effect. Thanks for sharing your trades, would you be making a video soon for your October options premium and dividend payments? Looking forward to it!
BALI ???????
I saw the title and thought "oi, the only in the money options i have or would ever sell are on things i REALLY don't mind owning" So this was about what i expected 😊. Making money on news is nice!
whats your best guess with stockmarket and the result of this election?
Why risk your capital in "DIVO" for less than 5% yield when you can get that yield in a "HYSA" or a "CD" with absolutely no risk.

Nice video, Question: if the put is in the money why is not assigned that day?
They can be assigned anytime to expiration. If they are in the money at expiration they typically are assigned automatically the next day. That said, depending on the underlying and volatility, put options are not assigned unless they are deeper ITM.
Nice explanation! I just began to sell covered calls recently to generate more income. I only sell calls against my long holdings and have no intention to sell them. Therefore, I tend to bet conservatively on the strike price and sell long calls (several months to up to a year away). Still, it already got me nice income this month of nearly $4000. Nice addition to the dividends I received. There were two occasions recently ($PM and $ABBV) that I had to "buy to close" the calls because earnings beat pushed the stock price higher than the strike price I pre-set which potentially will get my shares called away. Both are short-term calls though (1-2 weeks). I decide to only play long calls from now on.
Interesting! I have played around with different timeframes, month long to 0DTE and I’ve found 1 week is the sweet spot for me. We all find our niche! If it’s a system you understand and feel comfortable and confident in, then go for it 😉
I still need to learn options but like seeing you give the reasons behind yours.
Thanks Dairy 🙏 this is a little more of an advanced video, so I hope it helps show one thought process! One day you’ll try it? 😉 Cheers 🥂 DREAM
@@thedividenddream One of these days I will try it.
Thank you so much for your research. I'll sleep better at night.
My pleasure 😉
Would love to see your take on iShares' BALI against DIVO, JEPI, GPIX... 🤑
I’ll take a look 👀
@@thedividenddream Thank you! BALI buys dividend stocks, writes SP index calls against that basket, and buys SP index futures to offset the capped market exposure. Monthly payer, but only one year of history. Keep living the dream!
Your MSTR buddy saying high and giving likes.
Oh goodie. You got some gains 😉
Thanks for my financial therapy session. 😂
Whatever works! 😉
Your amazing. My head would spin if I held that many positions. ❤
You can do it! It’s not that hard if you love it 😊
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Good video on a subject that people rarely discuss. Selling stocks is difficult.
Glad you think so! I do get the question every time the market runs up. So now, I have an answer to point them to 😉
I'm based in Hong Kong, the market is always bumpy but it's down for the last five years. Literally back to 1997 level for a time. Some sectors down 60% (pharma). Selling losers is hard because of the psychology of locking in losses but once the mindset shifts to if/how the money can be better deployed in the future, selling the losers become easier. Incidentally, there's no capital gains tax or dividend tax but no offsets for losses either.
Interesting! Yeah, I do not know the Hong Kong market at all. No taxes!? That’s amazing 🤩
@@thedividenddreamLesson in learning to move on from losers, belatedly, but learned. The saving grace overall is Hong Kong companies are high dividend payers, averaging around 5%. So they can produce a nice extra stream of income. Only tax on salary, which makes doing taxes take less than five minutes. Not even property tax or sales tax! There is a small stock purchase transaction tax, and excise tax on cars, some alcohol (not beer or wine!) and oils. That's it.
As always out standing job !:)
Thank you! Cheers! 🥂
Nice job 👍. My cap is 5% per holding and my primary reason for selling is if a stock stops paying or increasing the dividend. I am primarily a growth dividend investor so increasing the dividend is most important to me. I don’t typically sell my long term stocks/ETFs since I generate a good amount of covered call income that provides some downside protection.
Good stuff! Cheers 🥂
Hey Dream Gurl! There are many reasons why people sell stocks but for me...1. Rebalancing is something I have just started doing. 2. If the stock no longer provides a dividend. 3. If my strategy (Learned from one of your previous videos) is out of whack. 4. Outsourcing to reclaim and redirect my energies. e.g. Options trading vs Options based ETFs 5. Dividend harvesting (Quarterly or greater...I don't touch monthly or weekly). 6. New business cycles in other markets in the world e.g. China is in early growth phase (see recent stimulus). 7. Total return is not stable over 1 and 5 year timeframes. 8. Selling to limit losses e.g. there is a place on the chart where you are simply wrong. 9. Selling to take profits. 10. There are better opportunities elsewhere. Hope I have repaid a little of what you have shown me. Love your work! Cheers! 🍾
Love it! Thanks for the adds 😉
Solid information
Glad it was helpful!
Another good one, Dream. Often people discuss “buying & holding forever“ but rarely discuss when to sell. I happily collected my Tesla gains 🤑❤
Boom! 💥 good for you!
Very helpful. Many times praying does not works. 😀
So true!

What do you think of MSTY stock?
My $.02 $MSTR and $MSTY has tons of risk. That could mean tons of reward, or tons of loss. Get ready for either one.
How can I identify etfs that pay dividends?
I’ve got many of them in my portfolio you can research. Portfolio UPDATE | Full Reveal | Annual Dividend Income $110k th-cam.com/video/jAqBb3155Qg/w-d-xo.html
Are all the dividends non qualified? Probably should not hold in my taxable account. Thanks for any input
Mostly… so you’re right no taxes if held in a retirement. But I hold in both since I’m work optional and the cash comes in handy too 👌
Is it pointless to have both JEPQ and QQQI?
Not IMO, they have different approaches
Do you think these are good ETFs to add to a toddlers accounts ?
Toddlers? 🤔 you could. if I had an account that had a runway of 50-70 years I’d probably lean towards high CAGR stocks and funds where it wouldn’t matter if it had a down year or two, because the timeframe is so big you’ll capture the upside across the decades.
@@thedividenddream yes toddlers lol I have UTMA accounts for my kids. I control accounts until 21 and then released to them. Any other suggestions! Thanks
This is a great way to sell financial products without, you know, selling financial products 😂 that aside, why not just go to the fund site and buy the same companies they do without the fees? Sounds like q is high risk now, how long has divo actually been out, they might be also still. Thanks for picking an AI voice that isn't as annoying as 90% of them...
This is my real voice. Zero tuning or change to it
Anybody that wants more insight on DIVO should read Walk Toward Wealth by Kevin Simpson. Great overview of these 2 funds. I like my stocks but may end up getting SCHD and DIVO at some point.
Dream, thanks for the info. I am always grateful for your insights & I value your perspective♥ Dare I say, I find this ETF exciting🤞I've started selling some individual stocks to build up a respectable QDVO position. I've also started a smaller position in IDVO. Has IDVO occupied any time in your thoughts? if so, share😉😜 And, of course, DIVO has been a mainstay in my portfolio.
IDVO is interesting… I want to let the macro cycle go by a little bit more in terms of Europe recession. But for now I’ll focus on building QDVO 👌
You've sold me on divo....
Hey Dream Gurl! While I realize I have many competitors for your attention, in the form of commenters and members, then to add DIVO into the mix....Uhhhh! How will I ever compete ;-) I have DIVO also but no QDVO yet. I hope you are fit and well after your recent MRI. I also do my best thinking in the tub. Cheers!
lol thanks for your well wishes. 🙏 😉
I am early retired now and theoretically I have time to baby my portfolio.... You inspire me to get into the work...
Good! It’s so much fun 🤩
lots of good info--so i listened to this video again-- much better understanding of DIVO
Glad to hear it!
👍
Thanks Dream--- A timely addition ; i was just looking at SCHD -- and then i thought of you ☕ will review QDVO - I do not have DIVO
I have $50k in DIVO and I also started a new position in QDVO!!! 💕
Nice work!
Great info as always, Dream! $SCHD has been with me a long time, she's my GF, and after the split, has set me up well. Now I'm just watching the appreciation. 🔥💃🏼 🕺🏻🧢
