    You pray they decrease rates because you're a realtor and also probably own a home, but it just continues to drive insane inflation and fucks over young people and anyone not in the market yet, in favor of the rich. It devalues our currency and is simply BAD economics. The truth is we need a crash now or when the crash finally does happen it will be WAY worse than it would be now (although it would still be pretty bad now). If you have to "pray" interest rates go down then it sounds like you're way overleveraged and are part of the problem. I hope it bites you in the ass.

      For your information I do NOT own a home. But the rates as is are preventing people to even enter the market. I also didn't want the decrease to come this early but here we are. Ultimately I want people to have access to housing, as they should. And sidenote, I'm not making the rules or affecting the market in any way, I only try to help my clients in their journey.

    My thought is this, I love the house and the builder. On a side note this is what I would do if I were a builder and had the resources. I would build 2 versions of homes one version of 2-3 -4 bedrooms starting at $350,000 -$500,000 max With less expensive materials etc. less expensive appliances A second version catering to those that want to show they have deep pockets Starting at $750,000-$ 1,000,000 million or more. With high end matériels and high end Miele appliances etc That way everyone can buy a home and not just the ultra rich or ultra spoilt I’m just saying If anyone else agrees Holla back

    Great home Mathieu but Only a few comments on downsides. I LOVE EQ HOMES AS MUCH AS I LOVE PAGI HOMES SO I’M NOT A HATER BY ANY MEANS AT ALL 1 The office is too close to the kitchen. Unless it’s soundproofed and has no noise from the kitchen area. An office is meant to be very quiet and secluded from the rest of the home like the front of the house with an outside view of your street/ front door etc. 2 some of the home seems like an after thought. OVERALL it’s a great home with only a few things that could use improvement on the next future model. On a side note these are the best builders in Ottawa (excluding commercial) if people are looking for the best and are picky like me 😂 1: RND CONSTRUCTION (Designers: HOBIN ARCHITECTURE) 2: EQ HOMES 3: PAGI HOMES 4: MINTO HOMES i know some may think why Minto ????? But look up the single home THE QUINTON BY MINTO WITH the 5 plus bedroom (s) w/finished basement layout. As for RND CONSTRUCTION 32 Clovelly of Montreal rd is an extraordinary marvel of what they are great at building. Hope this helps. Cheers Just my personal opinion from extensive research and visiting the homes in person

    Back-Up Generators should be mandatory for High-Rise Buildings... but include the Water Pump??? 10 days May 2022... no water, no power = Derecho. Otherwise the older Condos... dont have the Glass Balcony... see thru... it's a Concrete Bunker (if they even have a balcony). Newer are probably a lot more Energy Efficient = Insulated. Having indoor pool is great... but brand New pool still breaks down time after time after time... it's hi-larious or just sad. Curiously even new appliances can have a high failure rate... it's just bananas. Anyhow Zero Disclosure offered about BACK-UP generators, if you're an old timer living in a Condo.

      We can all agree that newer, more updated condos are preffered by everyone. But old condos can be a great way to get in the market or a lower cost alternative. I do agree that towets should have back-up generators!

    Henrick, I live in Ottawa for 1 year. Having lived in the Netherlands I'd say that Ottawa is not a bike friendly city. It's not very well designed for biking. I'd recommend you check out the Netherlands for reference
