Royal Guard March มาร์ราชวัลลภ by Berkeley High School band and orchestra
Love king of Thailand. Royal Guards March play by BERKELEY high school band and orchestra. One Thai student in the band want to play some music for his king (king Phumipol) so he give this music piece to his teacher and so the teacher like this song so BHS got to play on winter concert December 12, 2014 for his majesty.
This particular song is know in Thai as “March Racha Wanlop” This piece of music was composed by His Majesty the King Phumipol (King Rama IX) in 1948 and it’s the number 7th among the other pieces he composed. His Majesty the King authorized the Regiment 1st Royal Guards to use the piece of music as their theme marching song in military parade.
Later on, the Commander of Regiment 1st Royal Guards had Major Sripho Thosnood arrange Thai lyrics to complete a song. His Majesty the King kindly interpolated the music; however, the interpolation was finished with the assistance of Pra Jen Duriyang (Piti Watayakorn). The song “The Royal Guards March” was beautifully completed in 1952. and has been being the theme marching song for military parade since then.

ผมว่าวงThailand Philhamonic Orchestra หรืออยากให้ลองฟังวง Siam symphonic band เล่นเนียนกลมกลืนกว่านี้นะครับ วงนี้เสียงดนตรีทุกชิ้นเกือบเท่ากันหมด เพลงนี้จะให้เพราะต้องมีช่วงปลุกใจเร้าใจมีช่วงนุ่มบางช่วงมีเครื่องดนตรีบางชิ้นต้องเด่นกว่าบางชิ้นเช่นบางช่วงต้องเด่นเครื่องสายหรือช่วงเด่นเครื่องเป่า
วงนี้ ระดับเยาวชน คงสู้ระดับมืออาชีพแบบวง TPO ไม่ได้ครับ

There is a version of this march with a slightly longer middle section. based on a Thai folk song. Mostly, however, this short variant is played.
That slight longer version was not based on a Thai folk song, but modified to accommodate the lyrics which were created later.

There are generations after generations of Thai youth who were drawn to music because of the King's beautiful compositions. Before I knew it, I realized learned from the King much more than just music. In my youth, I remember only bits and pieces of his speeches, but the heart of the message never left me: be kind to one another, live sustainable lives, and do not over-indulge in material. I take this message to heart, through all my ventures, wherever I happen to be in the world. I'm so happy to see the love for the King extends far beyond the borders of our country. With each day after his passing, I realize more and more how much of my successes I owe to the King. May His Majesty rest in peace.
