I’ve been looking for a new SMX podcast to sink my teeth into and you guys are actually great

Longer rear suspension link length will lower the rear end and if done should be very slight. Not because it changes the linkage ratio starting point, (as this Engineer points out), but because it does not reduce the travel in the same amount as it lowers the bike. So if you got one and lowered your rear end, what ever it was lowered, also travels up into your rear fender (some stock systems will hit the underside of the fender a bit.), as you bottom out. If your longer link lowered your bike by .25", when you bottom out, it will want to jam through your fender by .25". Wanna hit the rear brake for that critical moment when casing a double or triple? You won't even know what hit you. Best off to stay stock, and set the sag for steering control. By the way, very important. Could tell gajser had thought about that the lap before his angle in the air was perfect to take that turn at a sweeping angle he rides no where near the limit has a lot in reserve He can move when needed too

4:29 Table, is just awesome to watch them fly over, you don't realise how big it actually is unless you see it! The new sections look pretty damn cool as well, be nice to see what difference it makes to lap times from last years GP. Great track walk and good to hear a USA patriot talking up the Matterley Basin track. Interesting fact the valley / natural amphitheatre over from this track (Cheesefoot Head) was the famous place where Dwight D Eisenhower delivered his speech before D Day in 1944. True fact.

It’s not remotely tight at all!

Needs the tractor with power arrows & discs to break the big clumps of mud looks like a ploughed field the roost is gonna be insane the bikes will get heavy with that kind of mud adding sand from a quarry might take away some of that moisture it's gonna be a quadmire they should of added topsoil mixed with small wood chipping like the States do

Forecast for Saturday qualifying is good. Teams will be putting in some quick times. But if it rains for Sunday race day things will start to get interesting. It may come down to survival.

Been to matterly many times, its not that narrow. And the 'rollers' up the hill are not rollers, thats an uphill quad haha. Track is fantastic for racing guys dont worry

Did you see anywhere where the fans could be on the inside of the track? It looked like they have them completely fenced off from the inside everywhere?? I know it is early so that may change.

Oooof thats one narrow track right there, even supercross tracks in arenas seem wider then this. Looks like it wont rain until sunday night and evening so during the day when the races are they probably wont have to deal with rain but we`ll see what the rain does during the night.

What's the odds on it raining? If this track gets wet, it's going to be a nightmare to ride, and it's so narrow.

Those dunlop shod AMA bikes are going to have a huge advantage over the pirelli clad MXGP boys. The Dunlop scoop tyre is perfect for this track.
