Hello! Thanks for the video. If you were to choose between Pantheon and Ragnarok, which one would you pick? And probably why?

Honestly I got it, looked at it an have instantly decided I'm never gonna play it. The game is just too big and cumbersome for me, much the same way Chronicles of Drunagor is, I'm way too overwhelmed by these huge campaign style games now an regret ever buying them, especially now I'm struggling to sell them on. Think I've discovered my board game niche is retail box games and card games, stuff without minis I'm playing a lot more of.

Although I think you've said you like motorsport is this game gonna have the lifespan of your usual faves PnGC ? Your Top 15 is full of games with a central figure facing a lot of unknowns. There's enough in the mechanics ( no pun intended ) here to keep you interested , justify the time , expense ?

Bought into the kickstarter in 2020, got both my boxes with all the trimmings in July 2021, but here it is mid 2024 and life has gotten in the way and I am yet to play. Luckily, I am now retired. Thanks so much for this video, it has helped me enormously.

Can I assume that speed paints can be used as well, with the same effect?

I did not find any rules regarding after a raider card is revealed that you need to roll for a new target province. I do own the Holy Roman Empire version, but I do not believe that there are any rules differences. This is a fantastic game!!

Do you still play this game? Is it still great to play after all these years?

You are kind of right about the US troops. Most of their kit was green, but it was lip service to camouflage. They hit the beaches of Nth Africa in that same green that stood out like a sore thumb in comparison to Commonwealth, Italian and DAK forces. The colour was darker than the surroundings which worked out nicely for the enemy.

i think you missed that you can attack into saturated fields from adjacent fields even with range 0 attacks. Great video would love to see a 2 player playthrough.

Would u buy this just for solo? I'm interested to get this but there is so much hate towards this game. So say it is too slow and then suddenly jumps to end game which is resource flood. Other balance issues are also there people say and pricing on buildings etc is off. Is it that bad or are they just too harsh comments?

I’m only two minutes into the video and I know I’m sure you’ll say something at the end, but overall is it something that you’re happy you bought? Is the solo variant worth it compared to the multiplayer?

1:34:00 When you pass you picked a second card but then I think your turn stops, you should have used the two cards as a AOW card in your next turn. Because the sense of picking a second card for passing is doing completely nothing in that turn.

Endgame you could have moved the Draugr into the Vidar area, preventing him to absorb more runes. 0:27:43 You can't get the card from the deck anymore using the leader talent, if you already have one. 0:31:00 You can absorb gems even if the enemy has an unit with block talent, (block denies the claim action) 0:37:00 Hel can heal herself (rule as written) 0:39:50 You are always allowed to look through the discard pile of any player 1:00:00 You forgot to draw the card you had to draw, after resetting the deck (get your hand to 3 cards is part of the resetting procedure) 1:05:30 You can't claim stones already claimed (even if the claimer is allied) 1:07:50 You can't use runes to heal, those are not omphalus 1:26:55 Why you used a aow and a rune cards to activate the jothunn? Question: at 14:38 you play "Horizontal cut". You are in green position, so you are only allowed to follow the orders over the "or" - line. But you attack the opponent using the "green" movement from above the line and the attack from below the line. Are you sure this is correct? Have I overseen something? Anyway good and informative video, keep on!

Thing is its not thematic at all compared to Imperium classics and legends because the factual civs are historically accurate in their development and the shared attributes are ones that still make historical sense. Even the mythical civs are themeatic to their own peculiarities. How Atilla builds the pyramids is just a load of nonsense. Sorry not for me. Thanks all the same

What's the best F1 solo racing board game?

Where can I find the Nemesis Solo rules? Can´t find them in the normal rule book. I just bought the Norse God Pledge on ebay and I´m about to get into it right now. EDIT: Ahh, never mind, found it on BGG :)

That's a pretty solid line-up of games. I own about half of them, although i have not played some of them enough. Blood Rage is a favourite of my gaming group too. Haven't touched Imperial Assault in ages, i should really go back to it at some point, a shame that it got discontinued in favor of Star Wars Legion. Right now i'm painting my copy of Mythic Battles Ragnarok, Mythic Battles is my favourite skirmish-PvP-boardgame, i play it all the time, and the miniatures are just incredible. Already excited for the egyptian version coming later this year.

I love a long epic story game, however my wife has a 90 minute limit of gaming, thank the lord for solo mode. Thanks for the list i have added soloman kane for me and call to adventure for my wife to my list of games to check out Cheers I own witcher, nova and had skyrim. Currently playing journeys in middle earth.

Awesome playthrough - great work on quick decision making when encountering a weird rule. Would love to see more :) Had my very first game ever the other day. Just played both sides, because I didn't want to confuse standard rules with nemesis rules when learning the game. Mistakes were made - lessons learned - ready for more!
