When you do It this way it kinda takes away the flexibility of the fuel options no? You just ripped the whole PCB out? What heating components are needed for diesel to run? I have multiple of these generators and one says it can run on multifuels which works great and other ones that just say jp8 or f24 so I'm wondering what needs to be done exactly to make the mutlifuel use work properly

The model you watched is not typical carburetor which had fuel tank hoocked on, It looks like FG230 carburetor , and I used to replace it with MZ175 clone carburetor,the mechanism of there is very similar (mikuni style) If you are not the “keep it original “ guy, you can get it running easily By using the carburetor I mentioned But you may also need a air filter assembly change to avoid any interference

@@titohavana if you have one, prepare following parts: Main jet:1HX1423A63A0 or tailgater ET950 clone jets Outlet: 5-15P for typical US outlet Gasket maker ============== After that, do these things : 1. Remove outlet panel 2. Remove circuit board (0:55)connected to the control socket and wires hoocked to it 3. Replace the outlet with your type on the outlet panel and screw it back 4. Look at the carburetor side, take it out and remove the bowl(bowl had sensor wire on , remove it) there’s a little hex bolt which needs to be replaced by Ef1000is carburetor jet (PN:1HX1423A63A0) and put them back together (note: this step may require applying gasket maker) 5. look at the intake of the engine you can see the heating element made of copper, cut those fins down to widen the hole and you can assemble them back into one piece.

@@titohavana note: The steps related to the carburetor are must do stuff to make your generator running on gasoline, others are just optional, they controlled the heating elements in order to run on diesel or jet fuel BUT those things can’t function if you don’t have the actual control units which are connected to the panel

@@SL-rg4on take the carburetor out and look for a hex bolt , replace the bolt with ef1000is jet (1HX1423A63A0) or ET950 clone jets then you’re good to go

As we know, engine runs faster, generally it produces more power, rpm increases makes it bump up more voltage due to the generator is not a AVR type. The frequency on the other hand, as the coil switches its phase once, the current flow changes, so the engine runs 3600rpm meaning the phase changes 60 times a second, which means 60hz of current changes.

All generators (traditional)have this mechanism in order to let owners to keep their engines up to optimal speed after maintenance But it needs a rpm detector to adjust, wrong prm can wear out engine faster or damage the electronics hooked up to it
