@@A_Rotiform_Rim Enjoy!
G'day to you, Brilliant ,so good to see the Old Girl Sparkle again, we will try and see it some time, Bless the Folk who have done this! Armadale WA
Totally - they’re great folk. Saw ‘Children of Men’ there, tonight. Good crowd too.
Magnificent art deco theatre. Hope it will always be preserved. Cheers from Melbourne.
Beautiful.
Great video, which brought back happy memories of the place. It was where I saw my first movie when I was younger. "Snow White & The Seven Dwarves". Glad to see it open today!
Wow - lucky you. Yes, really enjoyed making this video. It’s great to see the Como back up and running. It’s a shame it hasn’t happened to more of our old cinemas.
Not there any more
Nooooo! 😢
@perththemeparklife1817 yeah a shame.
That's an excellent video Iain, thank you for visiting us at Eagles Heritage!
Thanks, you’re too kind. Always love visiting the park.
I wouldn't want to be a mouse at that park.
Totally.
I wouldn't want to be a mouse at that park.
Hi, I live in Northern and I’ve been to the pool. I love that video you did bye.
Thanks, we loved visiting there. It’s a great pool.
I direct you to paul murray's article in the West on 4 May criticising metronet and the spiralling costs but plummetting revenues (due largely to two zone max). This is leading now to even larger subsidies of long routes which will impact the budget in many ways in the future. Recommended reading.
Hilarious.. I had no idea this was a thing.
They’re quite popular. They’ve got them in Sydney and Melbourne too.
Really super video with some great shots.
Great video of our tramway!
Love your work!
I hope James doesn't want that bit of wrapper back
🤣 100%
We just went to this exhibit at the Te Papa Museum in Wellington, New Zealand!
Nice!
Amazing idea! First time in a long time the tram will go to the front entrance, as there was an original old track they used to go on and they’re now refurbishing that joint. Getting off the train to go on the trams, will be exciting
Totally - can’t wait!
Hi perth theme park life I’m the kid that you met at outback splash last year my name is Zac can you give me a shoutout and also I was on the Goliath and their was a adventure world employee on break for a day and was riding the rides she said their is gonna be a new ride to replace the rampage
Thanks for the heads up. Will give you a shout out on the next AW video
Firstly, what Metronet has done with Morley station is a disaster. Previous govt wanted tunnelling straight into the heart of Morley at the Galleria. It was to enter the area via a new line from city tunnelling or via Bayswater station. With extra cost it would have developed Morley into a second CBD and allowed it to provide work and accommodation on a large scale. In a time that we should be decentralising from the city, we instead people from Ellenbrook having to go into Perth to work. East Wanneroo is also a major issue for govt now going forward. They're talking about having a spur from Malaga station which will put people from East Wanneroo into a very indirect route into Perth. The previous govt wanted to go north east from Morley, thereby shortening the train trip. I would be looking at Reid Hwy and try to go north from Mirrabooka and develop that hub instead of once again centralising everything in Perth.
All previous conservative governments talk about all sorts of infrastructure projects. Mainly roads, but with the occasional stadium (where you give corporate donors a some juicy money for their swampy land). But the idea that they would actually intend to build many of them is simple fantasy. And when they do build something, they hemorrhage money. Hello $2billion airport tunnel. Yeah yeah, all big projects go over budget, but conservative government projects rule as they just roll over and pay contract variations without question. This is why Buckridge was so but hurt when McTeirnan refused his variations, as Mr Barnett and Mr Buswell opened the state purse when ever a friend asked. History shows us conservative governments are short sighted, tight fisted and lazy (that whole small government thing). A tunnel into Morley may have been better? But a shuttle bus (or future light rail link) is hardly a disaster. Besides, does Morley actually have the real-estate space to become a 2nd (3rd or 4th) CBD? I live here and just cant see it...
@@antiussentiment Firstly read Paul Murray's piece in Saturday's West Australian. 2 pager on Metronet costs and subsidies. How its no longer sustainable due to running costs. Furthermore, the impact on 2 zone max revenue stream means the subsidy is around 80-90% to cover running costs. Some govt in the future will need to return to the previous zone structure, especially when the iron ore boom is over. I'd really recommend reading that for an intelligent news piece of analysis 4 May. Respond to the rest in a sec.
@@antiussentiment All this conservative government stuff is nonsense. Conservatives do care for roads, as do any decent Labor politician. Because roads carry goods and services and workers around Perth safely, which keeps the economy moving. the nonsense about narrowing roads and using other means will just cause more congestion and more costs, which is a drain on the economy. And basically for a state govt means less money spent on delivering important services to the public. So that premise is wrong. Certainly, the Liberals planned and started the route to Mandurah. They also planned and started the route to the airport. They agreed with the Ellenbrook line but didn't believe it should be fnished until 2028 due to patronage numbers. Labor will bring it forward 4 years. Labor reopened the Fremantle line if you remember. I am uncertain who started the Joondalup line. The Liberals pushed hard for light rail through the knowledge arc and to Mirrabooka and beyond. Differentiating by party is a totally pointless exercise.
@@antiussentiment The Stadium comment is ill informed. We know that the previous Labor govt identified 4 major locations. Subiaco Oval, Kitchener Park, Burswood and East Perth (powerstation vicinity). Labor ultimately preferred Kitchener. Liberals pushed hard for Subiaco. But with the World cup soccer bid the decision was delayed for a couple of years, to determine the stadium requirements. When we missed the world cup, the then Lib govt commenced proceedings. Their preferred option became Kitchener. However, ultimately prior to release the Premier announced that they were looking at land at Belmont. It was to be part of a land swap arrangement that would lead to a consolidation of racing at Ascot and development of new facilities in outer suburb (Lark hill i think). Days after the Turf Club announced that they were in negotiations with Malaysian businessmen to develop highrise around the track and still stay at the venue. This development has now started. The government had committed to the peninsula. So went back to one of the original sites proposed by Labor, which is its current location. I would say that its proven an outstanding location. It would have been appalling trying to get 60k in and out of Subiaco every week.
@@BDub2024 You want to quote Paul Murray? A bias conservative fundamentalist? He's not interested in journalism, only in supporting his corporate mates by getting a different government in that will let them off their tax obligations. I suggest you start reading people that don't cherry pick the few figures that suit their agenda.

You guys should vlog the Mandurah Crabfest 2024.
Fancy another visit to Mandurah
They need to reopen the screaming demon slide!
More to the point the insurance companies need to stop killing off everyone's fun
I’m pretty sure all of the other slides have been removed.
From memory they cut away the bottom end of the speed slide and it looks fenced off at the top of the stairs. The 4 lane slides have gone as well :(
@@VoyagingBushman Yes, they were there previously, but have now gone. However, you can still see them on plans posted around the park. We filmed a vlog there last weekend, which should be out soon.
