Is the train station busy on Boxing Day?
Hard to say for specific days but it's probably good to plan for a busy day at the station during holiday season and budget some extra time.
How much is the tickets anyone know please?
For second class seats, CNY 68 to Futian and 75 to Shenzhenbei
Very informative, details n tips. Novice traveller like me welcome such informations very much. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Wow! Amazing video ONE AGAIN! From a transport fan in HK! I really wanted to see this type of content, and I was so glad when I found you! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! More to come 😄
thanks for this great explanation!
This is great stuff - thank you!
Super informative!
thank you!!! this was very informative. this has eased my anxieties for traveling from vietnam to china - Love you from Scotland
Glad to help 😊
Dong (I do not have a Vietnamese keyboard on this computer) is pronounced: "dowm". Great video; keep up the good work!
Oh my goodness!, another fantastic vid in the series from a transport nerd in hk!!
8:44 - shocked they dont need a separate number plate for vietnam
They may have separate permits or stickers in/on the vehicle. I didn't get a good look.
You do not need separate number plates or stickers; being a travel company, they are used to the paperwork associated with operating a foreign vehicle in VN.
I always think the west Kowloon station is an underrated building ..... it is indeed very beautiful and functional at the same time....
Good to see a fellow member of the HKWKS Appreciation Club 😊
It happens to be my two hometowns and two Cantonese cities! thank you for your video
Very informative video!
Awesome video!
Wow! As a Hongkonger who is also a transport nerd, i am wowed by the informative nature and quality of your content!!!
Also! What is your favourite MTR line!
Lol I've always thought of all the lines as one unified system. It's part of the appeal!
@@OutOfBounds_JW Fair enough, although the light rail has my heart lol
your videos are really informative and shines a light on china's highspeed rail network, hope you can review China's first sleeper high speed train next time.
What’s the last train that goes from HK to Shenzhen?
As of now it's around 11 pm, but do check the actual schedule when you plan to travel as it can change.
😃😃😃😃 welcome to Hong Kong 🤠🤠🤠🤠
Very frequent service
Funny thing is they put a “Welcome to Shenzhen” sign when you about to leave rather than when you arrive
so cool
Still missing the border-crossing before COVID, you can just exit from the middle line rather than today force you to do a X-ray scan for your bag (They want to see anything they can charge you for taxes)
The X-ray is indeed kind of a bottleneck...
Awesome video! Keep it up!
Thank you for the great video! The move forward of Hong Kong and Macao is impressive.
I think you’ve violated the no filming/photo-taking rule at the border crossing.
I stop whenever I see a sign 😊
Shenzhen has just improved so much in last 20 odd years. It was grubby at one point and now a brightly lit, professional commercial area.
I always liked the transverse seating on the M-Train stock.
Those were the most popular seats!
Nice video, keep up the good work
Please turn off your background music AND speak up. Please watch your own videos and you will know.
Thanks for the input.
Holy CCTV
😆
yoo
This is the most expensive type of public transport to Shenzhen.
I also wish it were less expensive! Though in addition to the speed you would also get guaranteed (fairly nice) seating. First class on East Rail can be still more expensive and even then seats are not guaranteed.
How much does it cost for one way train ticket from HK to Shenzhen ?
It's CNY 68 to Futian and 75 to Shenzhenbei, around USD 10 or so.
@ Thank you so much. i am going to Shenzhen next year via HK hence the information will be very useful for me, thanks !
sounds like the theme from simple aviation
Lol not sure if it's the same but hopefully this means I'm doing something right!
@ could be a copyright issue
Do you mean the bgm? It's copyright free music from TH-cam.
@ oh ok
Both channels are great, well done!
Thank you!
This is most helpful to show it step by step to visit Shenzhen from Kowloon.
Thanks for the video to show us how to go to Zhuhai from Macau.
Finally... a very clear and precise steps on how to do the border crossing. Thank you!
If you are continuing this series I have a few suggestions for cool ports you should check out ! 1. Qingmao port (simply cos of how unique it is with its 3 egates) 2. The border between Macau and Zhuhai ON the HZMB port island that they share - I can’t seem to find any information about this port online except for there apparently being a corridor badly named “port world” or something 3. Sha Tau Kok Village - the street itself is inaccessible to almost all HK residents (despite being half in HK) but is still really cool! 4. Heung Yuen Wai - cos of how new it is and not much information online detailing the port crossing process 5. maybe kinmen- Xiamen border (cause of all the contention)
Thanks! Hopefully many more videos to come 😊
good
I assume left should work for Non-Chinese Citizen HK permanent residents who have the new Mainland Travel Permit (and have biometrics done)!
Had a chance to ask the border staff and they say the non-Chinese HKPR MTP can be used at mainland e-channels after having traveled to the mainland for 2+ times. A big convenience!
@@OutOfBounds_JW already did that! Excited to try it out in west Kowloon!
Great video! I visited Hong Kong last month and was curious about the process of traveling to mainland China. Thanks for sharing this helpful information!
Thanks for stopping by! There are many border crossings to mainland China from HK, though imo the high speed train is the easiest in most cases.
This is one of the more modern and technically impressive ways to travel into mainland China. The other one is the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge via bus or private car. More traditionally, you can take flights, ferries and trains. Hong Kong also has 4 land border crossings into Shenzhen, 2 of which are directly accessible by mass transit.
