Could you improve the bottom section of this CAD file for the Motor Control Housing? Many potentiometers are larger than the available space beneath the piece
fantastic video, what solution did you put on the tip after you shaped it?
Its called 'original super shaft cleaner'
What is the tool used to center the shaft ?
It is a cheap 0.01mm dial indicator with an arm articulated support
NICE
do you sell a complete kit of all the parts needed to make the cue lathe , i don’t have a 3d printer , let me know
Omg 🫣 you are brave. I’ve seen razor blade tips snap off and fly across the room with much less force than what you’re doing here. Everything else looks cool, but I would really rethink the cutter set up you’re using. The blade are not very strong and can easily break and fly off at a very high rate. Please be careful
Hi can you tell the the make and model of the motor please. Just need to see if it’s available in the uk
Look for 48v electric spindle on aliexpress. The motor has an external diameter of 52mm and 300w of power.
Hi motor is on order and I’ve purchased the files but can’t open the freecad stl files. Any ideas?
@@JoeDalziel-x5b The freecad files *.fcstd can be opened with the freecad software using File -> Open The *.stl files can be opened also with freecad using File -> Import. Also the *.stl files can of course be opened with the slicer program necessary to generate the gcode for your 3d printer. I use the slicer Ultimaker Cura.
Thanks again 👍
Would it be possible to send me the mods that you would do to make it for a one piece cue?

sir how i contact you .. i want buy the file via paypal payment
I have a paypal account at emilioarroyo1983@gmail.com.
I wouldn’t say you invented it. It is a lathe. You made/built a lathe. From Wikipedia: The lathe is an ancient tool. The earliest evidence of a lathe dates back to Ancient Egypt around 1300 BC. There is also tenuous evidence for its existence at a Mycenaean Greek site, dating back as far as the 13th or 14th century BC. Clear evidence of turned artifacts have been found from the 6th century BC: fragments of a wooden bowl in an Etruscan tomb in Northern Italy as well as two flat wooden dishes with decorative turned rims from modern Turkey. During the Warring States period in China, c. 400 BC, the ancient Chinese used rotary lathes to sharpen tools and weapons on an industrial scale. The first known painting showing a lathe dates to the 3rd century BC in ancient Egypt. Pliny later describes the use of a lathe for turning soft stone in his Natural History
Wow! Very nicely designed and video is cool, too. Thx for doing this.
How much to buy one ready made?
It looks awesome! Would like to start this project. Do i need to have a 3d printer? Or are there only a few parts with 3d printer?
Yes you need a fdm 3d printer. A cheap one will do.
@emilioarroyomohamed ok thank you for your reply. Dont have any experience with 3d printers. So will have a look and how to.
nice job
Can i buy it
I was curious if there was a way I could contact you. It doesn't look like you have an email associated with your account. I wanted to ask you a question but didn't want to post here. Thanks
emilioarroyo1983@gmail.com
Hello. I have a question about 3D printed parts. I have the Bambu X1C and I would like to ask you if using your brand of filament is necessary to make any adjustments to the dimensions. Thanks.
No sé porque mis mensajes no sé responden😮
Food for thought...a link for each item on the part list would be appreciated. this not only gives us a potential place to buy but lets us physically see what exactly you are calling to be used. You could even set up an amazone store and take a commission. Win for everybody.

That is one bouncy lathe when cutting the tip, not a very accurate razor placing. While it may look nice, I wouldn't risk that razor snapping and flying into my face or damaging a cue with the very wabbly plastic printed collet with plastic jaw design. Looks nice, may be a cheap DIY for your own quick tip replacement but not for woodworking or more precise work.. You can buy a good quality lathe through temu for a few hundred more and without needing to get a 3d printer for making plastic parts. Very creative, points for that.
Watch my other video where i show the cutting process using proper lathe tooling. This lathe is not intended for woodworking, just for tips and ferrules change.
Where can I get that lathe ?
This is a diy project, not a production machine for sale. I have designed and built it myself. The only way to get one is to make it yourself. It needs a fdm 3d printer to make the plastic parts (any cheap fdm 3d printer will do), and the rest of the parts are very easy to find in aliexpress. In the links in the description are the plans and the files for the 3d printer.
How should I call that plastic thing inside the bering which keeps the shaft?Where can I get it?Thanks.
@@maciejguzicz5620 You could call it a collet. Is a 3d printed diy design, you can download the collets stl files for free in the link in the description

Only criticism...you shouldn't be wearing gloves when operating a lathe. Glove gets caught, it's gonna drag your whole hand in. But the lathe looks awesome.
Thank you. In a metal lathe would be very dangerous.
Oh yes this will definitely work!
I would buy it, but here i can only pay with a creditcard. 😞 possible to pay with paypal?
I have a paypal account at emilioarroyo1983@gmail.com if you send me the money there i will email you the files. Send me a message when you do it.
So cool.. What’s the difference between the free and the paid link?
The free link contains the collets, the paid one the rest of the lathe. Some people just want the collets files.
Do i need a 3 d printer to make parts
Yes
I wont to parchise
What is the machine name ?
Im unable to purchase the files. Can you arrange a nother way i can purchase them from you?
Which is the power of the motor?
300w
Emilio.... Would you consider selling a complete lathe that you have built? I like your design, but I don't want to risk that my skills can built what you have designed. Let me know if a completed lathe can be purchased and shipped. Thank you!

I would love to get some of those adjustable collets
Thank you for sharing
Hello Emilio, I bought your files. The lathe is ready but for the rear collet I have a problem as all my cues have wooden shafts so at the rear end they have wooden screw ends wich doesn't fit your rear collet... Do you have any idea how to fix this. I am not really a designer...
What are de dimensions of the wooden screws at the rear end? Diameter and length. Send me all the info you can at emilioarroyomohamed@gmail.com, maybe with a photo and i will cad a collet for you for free.
Como se consigue esta maquina ?
What's the price of this lathe. Or where can I buy it?
This is a 'diy' project, not a production machine for sale.
