    EEEEEcentric is not a word anywhere in the English language. Eccentric means ‘away from the center’. A crazy person is called eccentric bc they are ‘away from the center of normality’. A ‘negative’ movement of an exercise is a movement of the tendons ‘away from the center of the muscle’. It makes perfect sense from an etymological standpoint. Mispronouncing it as eeeecentric would mean ‘without a center’, which makes no sense. Another line of logic proving that it must be pronounced eK-Sen-Trik is that the first syllable is ‘ec’, which can only be pronounced ‘ek’ in English. There’s no possibility of a silent ‘c’. There’s no controversy regarding how to pronounce ‘centric’. So, the word is pronounced, eK-Sen-Trik. But don’t take my word for it! Look it up in literally any English dictionary.

    Hi, so we need to keep an external's rotation during the whole motion ?

    • @jmac3112
      @jmac3112 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah. I'm not sure the rationale for this video but if I was giving this to a patient, it would be a shoulder symptom modification movement. You put slight external rotation on the shoulder and keep it on throughout the movement. Helps reduce pain for some patients and allows them to do shoulder flexion ex's where they otherwise wouldn't be able to due to pain

    They have never suffered pain in their lives and it's very obvious. I get the feeling this is more political then science based. So what can YOU actually DO to relieve crippling pain when you take away the only meds that actually work? Answers on a postcard please.😂

    You are a fool. I have had severe, chronic neurologic pain for 10 years and have tried every drug and treatment you can think of. The only drug that gives me some quality of life is OxyContin, under strict management. To state that there is no evidence that opioids assist with pain is absurd. Stop making these videos until you know what you are talking about.

  • @Rae-qf7xv

    I smell a rat here. Could this be the USA opiod hysteria infecting the NHS? Would you rather see people in agony day after day? Cruel and dehumanising to withhold adequate pain relief. Shameful gaslighting by those who should be helping us but who play God with our health. I don't believe you and encourage everyone to question this dubious advice.

    These doctors never sit and cosndier to think why the "addicts" in mat programs using methadone font have hyperanglesia. Its because opiates dont actually cause it. Its just our underlying pain not being properly treated.

      yes, do less at first, eg only 5 or 7 times and do slowly. and do half (not full), then AFTER 5 days do 8 times eg, then after 5 days do 9 times. if painfful still, do only next other day. you have to do.

    How to say you have no experience with opioids without saying you have no experience with opioids. I am so sick of Doctors and so called Pain Specialists who know NOTHING about what they speak about. There is a lot of research out there that shows that opioids are totally safe and sometimes the only effective pain relief for chronic pain sufferers. Here is what I know after 2 decades of taking the things on and off - for chronic pain sufferers they are NOT addictive at all. The opioid crisis should really have been called "The Oxycontin Crisis" - this is because continuous release opioids can make you become quickly accustomed to the drug due to the constant supply being put into your body - I believe this form of drug delivery should be used on an as necessary basis but not for chronic pain as that is usually on and off or at least varies in intensity as opposed to constant. Hyper analgesia is caused by continuous release or overuse and most pain patients know this and manage their doses accordingly. Addiction is not the same as physical dependence. The below link shows that out of over 11,000 people who were given morphine or heroin for 6 months only 4 became addicted and they were addicts in the first place. theses.gla.ac.uk/71201/ Thanks to your misunderstanding of opioids we are now facing a far, far worse issue - the gabapentinoid crisis - go and look at what that crap you now give out does to people - 4 year + withdrawals, brain aneurysms, blindness, tinnitus and deafness, tooth loss, AKATHISIA, suicidal thoughts and actions, etc and it usually makes the pain worse over time! YOU DOCTORS MAKE ME SICK!!!!!! You are trained and paid for by the pharmaceutical industry and it shows - how about you listen to your patients for a change?

  • @edwardjaycocks5497
    @edwardjaycocks5497 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you're looking to alleviate someone's pain, alternative solutions are often necessary since the pain itself usually doesn't improve, particularly if it's chronic. Most doctors haven't experienced this type of pain themselves, so they may only understand it in terms of the medication's side effects. This is especially true in the U.S., where such medications were initially prescribed quite liberally by physicians.
