Hi Augustus Thanks for sharing these helpful tips what was your score when you took the exam?
Hey bro , I'm going to US, fall intake on F-1 visa ...can you please share the detailed steps to apply for lottery green card on F 1 visa ? And will it affect my F 1 visa in any negative ways like will it be right i apply for it ?
Can you please tell me masters in biochemistry thesis based or course based which would be better for me in canada??
I don't understand that their family members are in the states going to the food bank, barely able to make ends meet, and always asking for money the family is.. Now, if the family wants you to pay for education, or training, or a accreditation, or maybe a small loan to start a business, complete with a business plan?, then I understand sending a bit money home to get that plan going, but you are not in ATM.. you pay directly for that class, or pay directly for the training yourself,.. But this whole idea that we are all swimming in milk and honey in the states, shows just how ignorant the world is for what American citizens go through
Wonderful video ❤❤❤
How much time does it take to get green card? I'm trying to apply for masters in engineering, and, if I go there, in how many years can I get green card?
People keep retaking courses for years in the US ke 😂 Omooo, cant imagine the mental stress and finance that would put on someone
Thank you for this video Augustus and Olaide
Nice and weldone.🎉. Good to see you Laide.
Good to see a positive take with some realism!
Yes! No sugarcoating. Laide did an amazing job laying it all out.
Beautiful to watch ✨🥺❤️
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this information
❤
You see that “even if they gather their money and send to you…it will probably not pay your rent for one month” part, it cannot be overstated. Even though I need to take this advice myself, it’s very important to build a strong financial safety net…as nobody that you are helping from back home can truly come to your aid if shit hits the roof financially here. Thank you.
That's why I understand if you may be directly pay for training or education for family members back home, but you are directly paying for the education, and I would also get it in writing they will pay that money back, even without interest, in the future.. But the idea of just sending home money, where they can literally hire a maid, and you don't even have time to do your own dishes, and you're stuck going to a food bank for yourself? Don't let yourself get ashamed
but one of the requirement of the advanced degree category states that bachelors degree with over five years continuous work can also apply. but I don't hear you speak about
Do graduate roles has age limit in the USA??
No.
I don't even know what type of jobs PhDs can apply to , i need to know
Depends on your field. PhD is usually training to be a researcher so academia is almost a default. But there are other outlets like industries, regulatory bodies etc. that also employ PhDs
So apt
This is really helpful thanks @aladi
You’re welcome!
Important conversation, thank you for sharing. Curious to know if you recorded this video with your laptop or a software 😊
With a camera. I used Osmo Pocket 3. And Aladi Recorded with her camera as well

Please if I may ask, is a 2 years master's program better than a 1 year master's program in terms of immigration purposes?
I’d always advocate for two years. One year is so short.
I shed some tears watching this, I don't know why😂. Thank you for this informative video. I have been in the US for just a few months and I got motivated about coming to grad school when I used to watch you and Aladi's videos since my undergrad. Grateful to God for how we have all come ❤
Thank you for watching! And congratulations (a huge one) on making the transition to the US. I am confident that you will do great here.
Congratulations!!!!!
Absolutely true. First place to win is in your mind! I had to decide it's either to get a or get a job regardless of what the job market was. Oftentimes, having option B gives you luxury of not giving your all. "True and true - I don't like people" lol, you are not alone.
Can I love this video a 100 times

Pls can you talk about how to book a flight from Nigeria to USA , there is no much about it on TH-cam
I think OPT applies to everyone regardless of whether they’re in STEM or not. STEM people get 2 years and non-stem people get 1 year of OPT.
Thanks for this. But I have experience in procurement in my home country , also had experience as a data analyst and studied logistics, data analytics and supply chain management for my masters program. I have gathered references from my professors and previous employers too and I am also a member of a professional body called CIPS. But I don’t have any certifications to back up my skills and currently haven’t gotten a job in my field. What are my chances for this route
My roommate back in University cut all the ties with his family in Mozambique. He was living on financial aid, so he wasn't living the big life in Germany. They didn't care, even guilt tripped him for being "selfish". Breaking moment for him was when his own mother asking him for money and when he said he can't she replied with "can't you just stop paying rent?"
Imagine!!!
Please can you send me your phone number I want to talk to you
Thank you for talking about this. I only have OND in Nigeria, 4 years experience as a Loctician with reference to that (hairdresser). Can I get a get the EB-B NIW exceptional skill?
You do need an advanced degree to qualify for the NIW program
@ okay, thank you
Super informative
Very informative…kudos Augustos❤
Are u still in US or you have returned to your country
The pay for yourself part is relative. If I am throwing an event at my home I will provide the things for the event. But there are events that are considered self pay...like going to a restaurant, where hey I will be celebrating my birthday here if you would like to come you can...mostly the birthday person usually don't pay for their own bill it is gifted by the guests as a gift to the celebrated. Then there are communal events...where everyone brings something to share with everyone that way everyone can partake for larger events and not break the bank. There are also exceptions to any situation.
Very accurate
Hi, thanks for sharing. about the o1 visa, what are the processes after getting approval while being in the United State and trying to travel with it out and back to the country. would one be getting another visa interview for the o1 at the embassy in home country or it's not required?
No. You’ll probably need to get your passport stamped with the visa outside of the country when your visa gets approved.
Nigerians should watch and rewatch this video, many don't even care if you are a student. Thanks Augustus
Oh bro when did you get married? Although congratulations!!
Hahaha over 3 years ago 😁
@@Blackheadsremoval112 you still dey following him old footsteps...Dey play😁
I will never get the idea of tipping anyways. I have so many reservations about it because no one tips my paycheck! If you hire someone, pay them what they deserve, don't allow them have to depend on tips. PS: I tip sometimes!
I agree that it’s fair to pay people the right wage. I understand why it’s a huge thing in America now though. You should tip all the time 😆😆
When are coming home...hope when you com to my birthday you go buy drink for yourself..😂 nice 1 bro
Hahaha
Nnam, you hit the nail on the head. You didn't mention the part of in living of pets, in Nigeria dogs and pets are meant to be outside. Also, there is no communal spirit, if your friends lended you something and he wanted it back, in Nigeria we are communal and there is no head to return it. Again, these too many options are put before children and that overwhelms them and you ask questions like, "Why not just give them one?". They would ask you questions like do you want the blue or the green, or the red, etc.😅 Anyone that tells you let's go out and starts to untangle the bills to make sure no pays for another person really offs me😂. I go dey my house jeje. No stress me for billing😂.
Very very apt!!!!
If someone lends you something you should return it. Be for real that's horrible manners and this is coming from an African.
But if I have a job that is not related to what i studied ,what can I do
My problem is people always talking about PhD 😢 for USA
Pls you didn't talk about American employer asking for American experience
