Bluestone steps and stone veining in Hahndorf Adelaide Hills
Our Hahndorf Project we installed a Bluestone stair case entrance and Bluestone veining to retain the embankment. All stone supplied by Hillstones SA
The veining required around 20ton of stone and three days to install including sourcing and picking stone. We back filled with quality garden soil leaving the project already for the client to plant out.
The 10 formal steps had some difficulties looking right and needed to be relayed. But after some adjustments they flowed nicely and finished of with a massive landing on top.
The entire project was completed in about 6 days battling the Adelaide Hills winter weather and all earthworks and stone placement was completed with a 3.5 ton Kobelco excavator fitted with a hydraulic thumb.

A Grade Bluestone wall in Adelaide hills. Installation of a large bluestone wall using a 3.5ton Kobelco excavator fitted with a hydraulic thumb. This wall used around 20ton of stone sourced from local quarry Hillstones SA and took around two weeks to install.

Stage two of our B Grade bluestone wall. Located in meadows South Australia. This project got held up due to wet winter conditions. For our first project back for the year 2024 we custom made some Bluestone edging using some hand selected stone from Hillstones SA. We also selected drilled out a special stone to use for a bubbling rock. This whole project from start to finish took just over a week to complete.

Our client had a muddy chook yard that wasn’t much chop to look at. Within a week we sorted the area out with some bluestone retaining a couple of steps and a French drain to sort out the excess water from the stormwater.
