Franklin’s Half Dollar - Sale Ad
For your consideration, Franklin’s Half Dollar, aka Frank, aka Frank the Tank, aka the grey Teddy O’Connor. 2015 model, QH cross, Gelding. He has all the acronyms USEF, USHJA, USEA, & USDF on top of a permanent large pony card with the biggest barrel. The owner is 5’9 and he takes up your leg no matter how tall, weighing in at 1k lbs. True unicorn - one that can do it all, minus not a huge fan of the hunters. Like Ricky Bobby, he likes to go fast but elegant enough to do Dressage. Eventer from the bottom of his heart but is also highly competitive in the jumper ring, always making the horse step, 2 strides, in and outs, no problem. Not for the beginner beginner, but he knows exactly who is riding. From the tiny brave kid to adult ammy to pro ride, he adjusts to who’s on his back and will step up to the 3 ft+ or do the cross rails to a 2ft job all day long. He is not hot but forward and carries his own motor. Frank does all the things trailers like a champ, ties, and turns out with a mixed herd. He has a change and always gets it when balanced, but it is not 100% auto for the beginner.
Brave in any situation you put him in; you can ride this pony into a hurricane carrying a sword, and he would still jump through fire for you. Started western, so he’s good with cows, donkeys, dogs, ranch work, etc. Spent 4 months of intensive board & train Dressage only training. Schooling BN/N and a few training jumps XC with plenty of room to spare, brave to banks, coffins, ditches, water, and trakehners, nothing on XC flusters him. Shown 3ft, schooling consistently 1M+, and haven’t maxed out height yet. Will trail ride alone, or in a group, bareback in a halter. Same horse at home or away, no prep ready to show.
No maintenance, easiest keeper, gets chunky off looking at food. Big personality, brilliant, but he can take a joke. Has turned into the packer type for someone learning to jump who likes a forward ride. Will not run off; just sit back and let him fly. Shown thoroughly throughout Texas, NM and OK in the A & AA HJ show circuit, completed 2 schooling Horse Trials, placing top 4.
He has his own Insta - Franklins_Half_Dollar, with lots of fans, and all of his videos and accomplishments are listed. Offering at mid 5’s - currently located in Amarillo, TX, available to be tried at the Autumn Classic at GSWEC, Katy, TX Nov 8-12 and at the Split Rock Jumping Tour at Fort Worth International CSI4* Dec 13-17.

    Nice braid...I'm going to try this on my Haflinger...hoping her hair isn't too thick or short. Lol! Sierra is beautiful, one eye and all. ❤ I'm glad she has an owner who cares about her. My horse had eye cancer too, but thankfully they were able to save her eye.

    • @thesuppeskids
      @thesuppeskids ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taylorsisk533 It wasn't as easy since it was so thick, and she kept moving to swat at flies. All in all it worked OK. I would suggest making the braid strands a little bigger to make it lay smoother on her neck. She pulled it out easier since her hair's so short by scratching against her feeder.

    Same indeed with people in braiding but I also researched as to why a lot of people are suffering from hair loss: overprocessing hair, wearing pony tails, buns, etc. I've just recently heard about " alopecia. ' So not just horse hair, human hair certainly.

    • @rxsie1478
      @rxsie1478 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      braiding the middle piece under makes it a dutch braid (the one in the video) and braiding it so the the middle piece is going over it’s a french braid (the braid basically doesn’t poke out)

      @@pamelameckley5040 it does not hurt them if you keep it relatively loose so it doesn't pull on them. I braid on her because her mane is so long it gets tangled when I ride.

      I think she meant how thin the horses mane is. I'm not sure if you've ever had to braid a thinner mane before but it is difficult. My sister's Arabian has a thin mane and to prevent the frustration of braiding it for endurance races I shave or roach it.

    Very nice braiding, but you have confused the French and Dutch braiding style. French braiding is commonly confused with the Dutch style. French braids are when the strand of hair is placed above the strands when braiding, however Dutch, which is what your demonstrating in the video, is where the braiding strands are underneath each other giving the effect that the braid is on top of the hair, as opposed to French style where it gives the effect of the braid being tucked under the hair. This is just constructive criticism, and advice, no hate, and your braiding is lovely 😁❤️
