Welcome to Studio JD! I'm Jean and this is where I share videos of my handmade cards, crafts, and other art-related projects.
I love to make cards and enjoy trying out new techniques and products. By nature, I'm an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective - these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.
I just want what I make to be pretty. Or cool. And, mostly, inspiring.
And even though I sometimes come away with nothing but a really good learning experience, I always find joy in the making.
I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my TH-cam channel you will be inspired to make something of your own, try a new technique, or, if nothing else, just enjoy looking at the pretty (cool) creations.

Holiday Card and Tag Folio
Hi everyone!
Today I’m sharing a fun project using items from the new @teamspellbinders Handmade Holidays Christmas kit.
It took me a hot minute to figure out what to call this project, but in the end, I decided to call it a “card and tag folio”. It’s a fun gift set that includes 5 holiday cards and 5 tags, all wrapped up in a beautifully decorated folio.

Agreed! I even bought the largest size so I could have as much grip surface as possible! They are a crafting game-changer for me!
Thanks for the tip about taking the stencil off the grip mat carefully… love stenciling with no magnets to get in the way.

The four cards are fabulous! I think the sprays give the flower pieces so much more interest and definition. (not the right word, but I can't think of the right one) You did a great job on your first video...congratulations!
