Great job explaining the features. I was in HD one day and I picked up a Ryobi miter saw stand for 69.00 the box was torn not a bad price since I got the kobalt 12” dual bevel sliding miter saw for less money than the 10” model.

Was just going to ask how flat and how can you adjust the table out of the box ...most table saw tables are suprisingly not flat

As 0f July 2024 you can still order 80 volt Kobalt Chainsaw through LOWES online. I'm even looking at replacing the 18" with the Oregon 20" bar and chain for my KOBALT 80 volt chainsaw. I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. I’m 79 and love NO more having to pull a cord to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021. - I use them on our Southeast LA farm of 18 acres of tall large pine trees that were devastated by a Hurricane and tornado. On 10 acres of the property, nearly all the trees are down or dead. My chainsaws have been working great and cutting huge logs and trees and logs up to 20"+ and it works great. I also use the 80-volt 10” Pole saw, lawnmower, and Leaf Blower.

I have concerns about that digital angle reader… or the table saw… So if the tabletop reads 2 and your blade is a “perfect” 45, you know that’s not going to be a 45-degree cut, right??? I’ve thought about getting an angle reader like that, but it should really only be reliable if it has a way to “zero” To the table top before use, otherwise it’s… Not worthless, but you’d have to find it what your tabletop and blade angles are, then subtract to get your cutting angle.

Horrible Saw. This is my second 12” kobalt circular in 10 years. The first had an issue with the back plate being offset, and 10 years later I bought this new one and it’s got issues with the vertical pivot arm. Not to mention the lasers on both went out fairly quickly. I’m going to see if my new one is still covered, and send it back. This really is a disappointment.

I just purchased this model from Lowe’s today and I thought you did a great job explaining the different adjustments with your saw. I’ve watched several other videos on TH-cam. And I was amazed by so many people who own the model didn’t spend any time reading the manual. So I think it would be beneficial to learn more from the manual before you start using this model so you don’t hurt yourself or break something on the saw. Good job 👍

I really don't understand all the hate for Kobalt and Ryobi. Maybe if you are a contractor that has his tools running 40+ hours a week, then you'd want DeWalt or Milwaukee tools...that cost 3-4 times higher. But as a DYI home builder, I've built a deck, flooring, moldings, trim and baseboard, raised garden beds, kitchen cabinets, shelving, wainscoting, and laundry room shelving all with Kobalt and Ryobi powertools just fine with no issues. I've saved at least $5000 using the store brand (from Lowes and HD) tools....and saved well over $170,000 in home upgrades going DYI over hiring a contractor!

CHECK YOUR FENCE AND GUIDES FOR SQUARE. My fence from left to right bowed in 2mm in towards center causing incorrect rt angles. Take your framing square and put it across the back fence. The miter (from noon, left and right) was off also. I'll be damned that my 10" sears from 15 yrs ago fence was bowed also. I cut framing aluminum with it and found the issue. I took the Sears fence to my local machine shop and had it resurfaced to make the whole piece proper. The Kobalt is going next week.
