Or quartered would work.

Good Morning Ms. Janna 🌅. The lemon juice was a new one for me, I'll have to give it a try. I usually trim off the stems so both sides lay flat. I chop up the stems and add them to the butter while cooking the buttons. Tarragon is my go to herb 🌿 for this with some Beef broth to deglaze. My favorite mushroom 🍄 is Oyster. I also like that you left them whole. Seeya tomorrow for my steak 🥩😆.✝️📖🕊️🙏🥀
Just wonderful! Like I always say! This is just an idea but make it to what you & your family like😃✅
@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 Hi again, I only have to worry about how I like it. I'm only cooking for me. Making St. Peters fish 🐟 tonight with asparagus in roasted pepper butter. Just picked up some at the local Aldi market. I'm trying to incorporate more fish in my diet. I make it simple in a lemon, 🍋 butter and a homemade spice blend. It's kinda like a medium buffalo wing sauce with lemon. I do add a splash of Tabasco. Wish I could share. ✝️📖🕊️🙏🥀
@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 Good Day Ms. Janna. Today is National Day of Prayer, so today I pray this for you. Numbers 6:24-26. 🙏 The Lord Bless You and keep you: The Lord make His face upon you, and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Peace. Amen ✝️

Hello Ms. Janna. Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope all is well with you. God Bless You ✝️🕊️
Good Evening Ms. Janna. Nice🥔🥔, I'll take a medium rare Ribeye 🥩 with that please. You can cook it in the same pan😋. When you started to score the potatoes it gave me flashbacks to when I worked at the Lebanon country club as banquet chef and we had to make "Hassleback" potatoes. Peeled potatoes with a bunch of thin slices about a 1/3 of the way through the 🥔. Then baked in some chicken broth. Nice for a dinner party at your house but a banquet of 300🤯. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Evening ✝️📖🕊️🙏✌️🥀😴
The medium rare Ribeye video is next! Yes! Hasselbacks are awesome but pesky to prepare for 12 people not to mention 300 😫😂

Looks so good ! And I’ve got a Hambone in the Freezer too !
Thank you Michael for stopping by my kitchen! Be sure to read my Description Box! Use water or low sodium broth. My particular ham bone made the broth super salty so I didn’t add the ham pieces off my ham bone back into the red beans. But I added a little sugar which offset the saltiness. It didn’t make the dish taste sweet!! It just offset the saltiness. I usually do not use a ham bone but as long as you use low sodium broth or water you will be good to go! Please subscribe to my channel and hit the notification bell!
I have never seen anyone use an electric skillet to fry food before. It's brilliant! I can't believe I haven't thought to do that before. It has a built-in temp control, plenty of room to fry more than two things at a time, and it can be used for more than one purpose. I'm so happy I found your channel.

Good Day Ms. Janna. Certainly not the Rice and Beans I'm used to. I must confess that I'm not a fan of the smokey aspect of it. In my neighborhood more people speak Spanish and I'm more accustomed to that style. Of course I would give yours a try. At first it looked like you were going to make Ham and Bean soup, which I love. Us Italians have our Pasta Fagiola. I have some in the fridge right now. Always better the next day. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Afternoon ✝️📖✌️💞🙏🕊️🥀
Hey Mr. Eddie…Pasta Fagiola Soup is a favorite here too❣️ You certainly do NOT need to use a ham bone in my Red Beans recipe! Read my Descriptiom Box regarding using low sodium broth or just water if you do! The base became a bit salty with the brand of Ham Bone I used. Therefore, I did not put the few pieces of ham from the bone into my soup. I just used the yummy sausage! 😊
@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 Good Morning 🌅 Ms. Janna. I think the hambone was an excellent addition. I am a low sodium kinda guy. That's the only comment on my cooking that I never took offense to when someone said it needed a little salt 🧂. So I learned that if something tasted a little salty to me then it was probably seasoned right. For myself I hardly ever use salt. I do what my doctor advises. I have some Chinese Char Sui style chicken 🍗🍗's in the marinade now for 2 days. I'll make them later tonight. So simple to do. There is a Chinese sauce called Ah-So glaze just mix with some Teriyaki sauce and sesame oil and you got perfect Chinese style rib sauce or for chicken. Wish I could share with you and show you. Do you have Gmail.? Always nice to chat with you. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day ✝️📖✌️❤️🕊️🙏🥀

You mentioned your favorites as haddock and flounder/halibut. But, the absolute best tasting, flavorful and textured beer battered fish is shark, specifically thresher shark. Not the least 'fishy' in taste, almost as deep flavor as a good steak. Found at most all good fish mongers or high end groc. stores. Well worth searching out.

looks great but you dont have to use peanut oil I myself and most people cant afford peanut oil at 48 bucks for 3 liters to pricey most English people I see use regular vegetable oil or canola oil.
Good morning! No where in my video did I say you had to use peanut oil. I did say in my Written Recipe below the video to use Fresh oil. 😊 However, someone asked me in my comments which oil I used to cook the fish/onion rings. I used peanut oil that day. I made more this weekend and I used Vegetable oil and it was super crispy/crunchy delicious! I agree that cooking oil has become ridiculously priced! Thank you for stopping by my kitchen!

@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 I think I would prefer your dish. I'm not a fan of the Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Especially after growing up in NYC. There's not a lot of diversity around here.
This was my Dad’s. Like said, it’s rustic and not a “fine cuisine”! I like it as it’s a very light soufflé and you would never know there were crackers in it either!

Good Day Ms. Janna.! Here in Amish Land Pennsylvania Dutch Country Ham Balls and Ham Loaf are very popular. In the Amish market they sell 5lb bags of the mix. Gene Wengerts is the brand name. Ham Balls are a popular item for an appetizer at weddings and occasionally as the main course. Also popular is Pineapple 🍍 Stuffing. Substitute the liquid for Pineapple juice and add crushed 🍍🍍as well. You're right, Excellent for that left over Ham 🐽. Now if you will excuse me I have to go watch a video about some Corn 🌽 dish ☺️. Wishing you and your family a Blessed and Beautiful Easter ✝️ Rejoice He is Risen.
Good afternoon Eddie! Yes!! I put pineapple in the sauce and in the written recipe I put the option of the pineapple right into the meat balls!😃😋 I personally prefer the pineapple! Great tutorial Girl , I’m going to try this with catfish fillets, as well !!!! I’ve been making beer battered fish for years , and it has gotten a boat load of Compliments, and I never used self rising flour . I’m sure that self rising flour is good for the recipe , but it isn’t necessary . Mine is always light and crispy , as well .
I don’t use self-rising flour 😍 Well, I kinda make it by using All-purpose flour and Baking Powder & Salt! In my written recipe I have suggested for people who like extraaaaa crunchy they can add some cornstarch. But, my video shows my recipe as All purpose flour, baking powder, salt and a beer of choice! Mine is very crunchy, too! I just may make some more for lunch today! I love & crave it! I like the make of your account….have a very blessed day❣️ please subscribe and hit the notification bell!

What kind of oil do you use?
I use clean oil! (Not used previously!) I use peanut oil but I get the same result using Wesson or Crisco Vegetable oil! The most important thing is the temperature of your oil (and clean oil) have an electric fryer of some type (deep fryer or electric skillet like I used) or have a thermometer. You don’t want your oil too hot or the outside cooks too quickly and the fish may be undercooked. I found a constant 350-365 Fahrenheit temp is perfect! I use all-purpose flour. (Add a tablespoon or two of cornstarch if you want an extra crunchy fish!) serve immediately!!! Or steam from fish will soften the outside. I ask if you would subscribe to my channel and be sure to hit the notification bell so you get notified of my new recipes! Did you see this weeks recipe for beer battered fish tacos!?! Looks great but how long xue u fry the fish based on your sizes?
Good Morning! ☀️😃☀️ Welcome to my kitchen! It all depends on the thickness of your fish and the density of your fish. Haddock is a dense fish similar to cod. Walleye is less dense etc. if you are unsure of doneness be sure your oil is not too hot!!! Or the outside will cook but the internal fish will not cook to temp! So keep FRESH oil at 350-360 degrees F. Internal probe temp of the center of the fish should be no less than 145 F temp if you use a meat thermometer. The fish will still cook a short time after removing it from the oil. My thawed, thin haddock filets took approximately 1-1/2 to 2 minutes per side. Larger/thicker cuts of fish take longer. Maybe cook one piece and time and test it before cooking the remaining batch and be sure to not overload your fryer or the oil will cool.
