Born to Eastern European immigrant parents and growing up in a household of musicians, the Colorado-based pianist-composer has been fascinated by music and nature from an early age. While sounding atmospheric and textured, Midtro's melodies are simple and touching, unashamed of their fragility and hopefulness.

Midtro - Journey of Wonder
Journey of Wonder came from a place of me realizing that I've lost the sense of wonder I once had. I would recall times when I was moved by the vastness of the universe, the grandeur of the mountain tops, and the beauty of life. But in recent years it felt like it was slowing fading. I never wanted to lose my sense of wonder. I could not allow bitterness or hardness of heart take me over. So this piece speaks into my journey of discovering my wonder again. Blessings friend! I pitched my entire sound pallet in this piece to A 444hz. 4 hz above the standard A 440hz. I found found this tuning to be very pleasant to the ear. Wow, Kevin thank you for this amazing music, that came out yesterday on grandma's birthday. She is listening to your music in heaven right now. She loved your music and she loved you. She was born in a small Ukrainian village in Rivne. This music makes me think about how strong she was in God. She loved to pray for people and encourage them to be fearless! Nothing and nobody could stop her. I remember she told the story about a KGB officer, who wanted to destroy her life just because she believed in God. Your grandma told that officer that nothing and no one can stop her from loving Jesus. Thank you dear Kevin for honoring and remembering Grandma Galina! I love you Kevin! You are a very gifted guy with beautiful heart!
