Custom. Reinforce it and try interchangeable pieces slide rails for the bays. Some with studs, some smooth tiles. The studded for minifig posing...

You know whats sad? None of this sets came out after 2020 wich means lego is getting worse and worse with theyre sets and features

Both are good, if I’m being honest. However, the minifigs for the 2010 version are a marked improvement, especially the Clone Pilots and their unique helmet.

They could potentially improve the custom gunships wing bubble turret profile if they use part 80796 x4 in white(if available in white) for the x4 86500 parts to attach to, rather than having the 86500 parts attach to 4x4 round plates.

If we’re talking playability Lego, but in my opinion, the custom one looks better, but it’s more of a display piece. It’s too fragile to play with and lax of carrying handle but looks way better

The pink print on the red trooper... I've seen a lot of shit from Lego but the fact they cheap out on the only real selling point now is just laughable

Customs kind of too smooth, I like my Lego to look like Lego versions of what it’s supposed to be. If I wanted it smooth, I’d just buy a model designed for it. I do like some of the features on the custom though, and the turrets in particular do look cool

Honestly, I thought the stud shooters looked nice. Maybe not as they are, but, maybe flatten them out a bit and you might have something that looks pretty solid.

The 2024 arc 170 is superior because it is a alternate build of Jedi Bob Starfighter. There's a guy on Instagram and he makes the best alternate builds using one or more sets

I'll never like how MOCs seem to be allergic to studs. God, its so boring, and you can always tell it's a moc. If i wanted a model, I'd buy a model kit, or a 3d printer.

The classic color is iconic fore the gun ship and I only use it fore a model on a shelf so I'll go with the custom one

The Lego version looks cooler with the colors and all, but the custom looks more accurate to the movie version. It's a tie for me.
