Why not 3 inch
Why not 3" what?
@ pipe
The hole in the back of the manifold is not that big and I didn't want a 2" exhaust either lol
@@TACOMASRT5 fair enough
Any new videos of the setup you planned to do cant wait
Unfortunately my project list is a bit overwhelming. The plan is still there, the items are still in the on line shopping cart but the only diesel engine I have is still bolted to the tool box. I have 110 gallons of filtered oil and I anticipate over 100mpg on the motorcycle so unless I sell off my commuter for a mechanically injected diesel commuter or diesel swap the grand Marquis idk how soon the new idea will come to light.
How about suspending the pails from the cieling and run a flow tube from bucket to bucket, fill the top one gravity will finish for you?
I actually planned on using a 5 tier stackable shelf with a bucket on each shelf. But it wasn't in the garage long before it was full of stuff lol. Keep in mind the drain valve will out flow some of the filters. The half micron filter takes the longest to pass through.
What brand of filter do you use for half micron
DudaDiesel.com
Great video. I have a 08 Highlander, same engine, and it has developed a noise where the pulleys are and wondering if this is the same problem you had. I guess the only way to find out is to take the belt off and spin each pulley. They don't squeak I'm getting a slight clatter sound, like a diesel. I know it's not the engine. Any suggestions. Thanks.
My advice to you is if you are in it far enough to do a tensioner pulley do everything else you have access to, do it once, get it over with. I ended up doing the water pump, The idler pulley, the tensioner pulley, engine cover seal (behind crank pulley) etc. Be mindful that these engines have variable valve timing and the actuators have little filters on them that can get clogged if you don't change your oil often enough. I change oil and use a name brand fuel system cleaner every 3000 miles, cheap insurance. And once a year I do an oil flush where I will pour in a bottle of sea foam, stp motor treatment, 1qt of diesel, marvel Mystery Oil, Barrymans or BG products. Depends on what is laying around on my shelf. Thanks for watching!
@ good advice. Yes it is my water pump.
@@frankbizglad I could be of some help. I am a diy'er and this job did suck but its nice to know it was done correctly and with the right parts. Some more advice. When removing water pump bolts, they are different lengths, so place them in the new pump in the correct location on the shelf until all bolt holes are filled. When you get the old water pump off place it next to the new one, move the bolts from the new one to the old one in the correct locations. Then your new pump will be available for you to handle and install the gasket and on to the engine. Then 1 by one install your bolts finger tight in the correct location, then follow the torque sequence and specs.
@@TACOMASRT5I have just developed tendinitis in my right hand, so I had to have a reliable company and friend of mine do it. But thanks for your help! 👍🏻
Could I get the link to the sock filter
dudadiesel.com/filters.php I use the polyester ones with the plastic lip. I cut a hole for the larger 7x17 one and drop it into the lid of a bucket Then I cut a hole in the piece that I already cut out or use a coffee lid and cut a hole in it Then I put the 4x14 inch filter in that. So each time you pour it's double filtered If you want to do this make sure and get several filters so each filter lasts longer
If I find this clip.. 😂. anyway why didn’t you disassemble steering wheel? it will be damaged
I was told how to do this on one of the Facebook groups. I only jacked up the body until the spacers fit. It wasn't until later on that I also extended the steering shaft 2" as well "just in case I wanted more lift" I had no issues with it.
Do you have the sock filter running through another bucket filter ?on this setup ?
All bucket top filters are on top of each other. The rest have double sock filters
Thanks for the information on this long time wmo watf user nice to see a simplier less expensive setup
Did you order each of the bucket filters from Duda I can’t find them that small micron wise

I just got 2 of these 8inch . In a ported box tuned to 36hz . I will post a video of them soon
Looking forward to seeing it. Be sure to send me a link. The 1 that I run is in a non ported box and is just enough for what I wanted. Had to dial in the amp but sounds great. My head unit starts to distort the upgraded door speakers on high volume but I think that's mostly because of the head unit being $38 😂

Have you used this process on waste automatic transmission fluid ?
Yes. Motor oil Vegetable oil Power steering fluid ATF Lantern oil 2 stroke oil It all goes through the filters and into the barrel!
Any idea how it’s holding up ?
It's still installed, still holding up! Thanks for the comment! Now I'm working on turbo and long travel suspension.
Looks crazy clean!
It was!
Thank you
You're welcome!
Where did you buy the spigot on the bucket
Walmart. Though if I made the same setup again I'd use something different like a needle valve or ball valve for better flow control.
Good information. Wats the website to the company you used
Spigots from Walmart though if I did it again I'd use a ball valve or needle valve for better flow control, the filters are from DudaDiesel my recommendation would be to order all your filters at once as shipping starts at $12 wether you order 1 or 10 filters The EZ-BUCKET top filters are great but I wouldn't go smaller than 75 or 55 microns. As the sock filters have much more surface area to flow through however the EZ-BUCKET top filters are cleanable. I turn them up side down over my shop trash can and usually use an entire can of brake clean per filter to clean them. Be sure to subscribe as I have a new design I'm working on.
None yet, gotta mount the cold piping
How much boost is it making?
This is just a teaser video the hot side is made but needs modified as the oil pressure in my car is too high for the turbo and makes its way past the seals. I also need to install a check valve on the return line so the oil doesn't make its way back down the return line, past the pump and bleed past the seals after the car is parked. I will also be adding an oil reservoir under the turbo for extra protection.
Where does the battery hook up to the harness?
If I say at the positive and negative terminals I'd sound like a jerk. What do you mean exactly?
Do the turbo. Relocate battery box to trunk. Flip fuse box to rear of inner fender. (If u still have one. Inner fender that is.) Turbo Location issue fixed. At least that's where mine is gonna go lol. ( I'm in process of gather all the turbo parts now for my 03 cvpi. While my nemak 2v 4.6 gets built. Also working on prototype tubular exhaust manifolds specifically for boosting the 03 n up panther. 1st set is gonna be for this ps front mount single set- up. Then down the road. I'm gonna see what i can do about a twin set-up. W a forward facing center tb. Not worried about that at the moment though. All about getting this single figured out. Keepin the AC, which is a must. is the only real issue w that ps front location. And i think I've got that worked out. In theory anyway 😅😅. I like your intial thought back 2yrs ago. Running under the crossmember. W your hot side. I'm working on running mine up top to alleviate ground clearance issues. But it may wind up under that crossmember when all is said and done anyway. Depends how these manifolds turn out.
I had bad catalytic converters so I replaced them with 2.5" universal ones with 02 sensor bungs at the rear. The right side makes a 90 degree bend right after the cross member and the left side comes straight back. The merge into a y pipe. I then welded a 2.5" flex pipe. Then a section of pipe that goes to the turbo. The turbo has just enough room (with my 2" body lift) to fit without clearance issues. At least so far. Shorty after my TH-cam short teaser I ran into some issues. The next day I can home to a small puddle of oil on the ground. Upon further research I found that the factory oil pressure in these cars is too much for the seals even with the return pump running. I need to install an oil pressure regulator. A check valve or 2 in the return line and an oil sump tank under the turbo to help overcome this issue. With any luck when I am done I will still have enough room to weld on a 1/4" steel skid plate for the off roading I do. As for the air filter.... I will drill a hole into the trunk to mount a cone filter so unless I'm in mud or water up to the door sill sucking in dirt debris or water shouldn't be an issue. I also plan on blowing through the factory air box. So we will see how the mass air flow sensor responds to that. I don't think 7 psi should be an issue, but if it is I will cut the wires off and extend them to the back and install the MAF sensor by the air filter. Other turbo location option. Cut the recessed section out out of the trunk and weld in a piece of steel so the trunk floor is completely flat and mount the turbo under the floor of the trunk. Or... Drill holes into the trunk for the exhaust to run in, through the turbo, then out. But with the turbo that far back might as well have a stand alone oiling system soooo yeah lol. I thought of relocating the battery to the trunk. Keeping the driver side manifold intact, run a U shape pipe under the transmission and up to the passenger side manifold which would be custom made like the LS setups but I like you don't want to lose AC. I also thought of Running a 90 degree bend from the driver side to the passenger side, T-ing in the passenger side, having the exhaust coming out and up the passenger side like a tractor trailer and mounting the turbo in front of the passenger side view mirror, and running the exhaust up to the yet to be made roof rack and run the intake across the hood and up to the driver side of the roof rack. So many ideas so little time so little money.
Thanks bro I needed to do my mom's and your video helped me a lot .much love
Oh no thank you! Appreciate your support! I hope you consider subscribing as I'm always up to something crazy 🤣
Ahahahhha it's the whistling for me lol but does it work thouuuu!
I made the video just to be silly but yes it's a great product, and no I don't get paid for anything in my videos. I also use sea foam, redline fuel system treatment or BG products
Did u ever turbo that crown Vic?
Working on it now actually
Where did you get these bucket top filters and the rest of the filters your used?

@@TACOMASRT5 thanks, im in Ireland, i will try and find something similar are bit more local. I have been search for a while now at a good filtration system and yours is by far the best and the easiest to set up.

@@TACOMASRT5 im just starting out on this journey. I bought a diesel heater and want to heat my house on it with used engine oil
👍
I have been using waste motor oil to run in my military trucks, military generator, dc military generator, and my lister petter single cylinder diesel engine for years, and when running synthetic oils, mix 10% diesel with it and it will keep the engine from carbon up, the injector from clogging up, and easier to start, and cuts down on smoke. I filter with a centrifuge and mix 10% diesel in, and it runs great in everything.
Thanks! Ive also heard that people mix in 10% gasoline to thin out the oil and increase the flash point of the oil
Mix your waste oil 9:1, waste oil to gasoline for top performance.
You've never heard of the Grand Sharkee? It's the car that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
Daddy Shark do do do do do
good vid👍
Carbon absorbs the dissolved stuff (calcium, sulfur, whatever) floating in the water. You wouldn't want to drink the carbon any more than you want that carbon freezing up your piston rings or caking up your intake valves.
I know lol, it's a video just for laugh's.
The carbon is not the problem being a lubricant, but not intended can clog passages, hold contaniments, hold condenced moisture on temperature changes. Though most often not needed for maintenance, does give you a good smoke show and make you feel good either way
Bahahahah love sea foaming!!

Id like to know more about your lift and tire sizes info
All on my TH-cam channel my friend. The short story. 2" body lift. Front: 02 Ford explorer rear struts, 1" spacer between the bottom of the spring and the spring plate mount on the strut body, OEM springs, OEM replacement strut Tower mounts. Front upper control arm/ ball joint flip. Rear: 3" lift cups, OEM springs, air lift 1000 air bags inside the coils for more towing capacity, and 02 F-150 rear shocks. P.s. working on home made long travel kit for the front.
Just used this 500 miles ago on my Explorer and it cleared up the slight hesitation it had very quickly. Highest PEA percentage of any fuel system cleaner, it is the real deal.
Yep it really is awesome stuff. Well worth the $ There's a reason some fuel additives are so cheap, and ones like this and BG are more expensive.
Nice job god bless
Thank you
Very cool to see it running smoothly on 100% filtered motor oil with nothing diluting it. I suspect the injector pump will last waaay longer pumping filtered oil than ultra low sulfur diesel.
MADDOX Master Disconnect Tool Set - Item 56809 $40 at my local HF. I’m going to get me a set. Thanks for sharing
Good stuff
Nice job you have done. No link for the parts? Thank you.
I don't really know how to do that. I'm not monetized or paid for anything on my channel. $ and time are the biggest thing stopping me from making videos more regularly. If I had to do it over again I'd just buy the engine with electric start already on it. In the end the cost is about the same.
@@TACOMASRT5can you cut and paste the links to the parts?
I want to see what the final mix looks like, and see the little diesel run on it.
Well my filtering system is 5 gallon buckets then into the 55 gallon drum. Once 50 gallons of oil is added, then gasoline is mixed in and stirred. Then it sits a while to settle. But I absolutely will make a video of that for you, just a matter of getting enough oil.

Thank you!
when i get down to 50 micron I mix in about a gallon or so of kerosene or old diesel or off hwy diesel into my waste oil which speeds up the filtering process A LOT and helps clean the crud out. been running wmo/diesel mix in a common rail Tdi for a few years now no issues. I always filtered down to 1 micron.
I may try that
