Can I just leave out the bar soap as I hear it can leave residue in your wash machine and clog up sometimes? Just wondering if I use the other ingredients and just skip the bar soap

I grew up spending a lot of time with my grandparents on their farm. My grandmother made her own lye soap and I recall using it. Wish she was still with us now. Thanks for sharing. I would love to buy some of your soap

what did you do for fragrance? I made a batch of this then did a load of wash. After drying, it felt clean by smelled dirty. Maybe is was because I used a zote bar instead? My store didn't have the soap in this video.

I watched this to see if you mention the scallops. My heart jumped when I saw them. My family home (built in 1910) had the same design in the kitchen. I was told the cabinets were built by my grandfather and I wonder if they were part of a kit or trim package. I hope you keep them. Thanks for mentioning them!

I think you have done a remarkable job, but having said that, I also think that the scallops and the angled hardware puts your kitchen in the 80's. I would straighted the hardware, remove the scalloped edge and replace it with some edge trim then hang some dried flowers. I think that would give the the cottage look and not the 80's look. Kudos for all of the hard work.

Hey! I just started milling wheat last year ☺️ would recommend soft wheat for baked goods you want to be fluffier (cookies, muffins, cakes, stuff like that), and then hard wheat for most bread products (like loaves)! Higher protein/gluten structure in hard wheat. Love the video! Also buy from azure, I like to buy bags of coconut chips for Lily a Nichols grain-free granola

I have three: all used in my kitchen. They are my only cabinets except a circa 1900-1910 oak desk with flush drawers which I fashioned into a sink base (complete with fabric skirt). My cabinets are Sellers and I have one regular and one shorter possum belly. I also have a narrower 36” Diamond from Shelbyville IN which has a wood top. Placed next to my sink base and elevated on wood block extensions I screwed in, it extends the “ counter” top. I use the narrow cabinet et for dishes. The blue slag glass of my other Sellers is more unusual and I based my paint color off it ❤ That one is for baking and extra jars. I also have it PACKED with canned goods as I don’t have a pantry. The possum belly cabinet stores honey and tea/coffee as well as bottled water and the electric hot water. Love my unfitted old time style new kitchen!

I use traditional Greek olive oil soap and Castile soap 😊

If you want to get pregnant go hang out with some pregnant women and be praying. I was told years ago I could not have anymore and I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. As soon as I moved back home and was around my sister and sister in law, both pregnant, I got pregnant! Praying for you a healthy, beautiful, smart baby! God bless you abundantly!
