This is not a Fairlane but a Custom 300. There is quite a difference.

first year for Biscayne being a base/ fleet car, Del Ray was in 1958, with Biscayne, being one above base.

The Biscayne, Bel Air and Impala, all had the same tailights in 1959.

The Biscayne in Canada was also called a Pontiac Stratochief, not a wide tracking Catalina.

Back in the day this is the color the local Fire Chief’s car would be painted.

Someone must have added a radio, the antenna is on the driver’s side front fender. Biscayne often came without a radio, they were pretty basic. Cool car though, Id drive it, love the hi thrift six with the three on the tree. I can totally hear it in my head.

The Biscayne was the base model that year. Very basic!

1973 was the first year for that body style on Chevrolet & GMC fullsize truck models & first year for a bigger cab pickup which was the optional crew cab. 1987 was the last year for those generation 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton regular cab pickups, but the 1 ton regular cab pickups, crew cab pickups, Blazers, Jimmys, & Suburbans on the other hand were still in production up through 1989 on the 1 ton regular cab pickups, & through 1991 on the rest of the models.

Perfect classic for daily driving. Not some 2000 mile 55 T-Bird kept in a climate controlled garage.

That engine is so quiet you could drive over a mouse and never wake him up

59s are getting kinda rare. I have a fully restored and customized 59 impala 4 door post sedan. It's been a long hard road out of hell from what I started out with in 2014.

Spend a little money on her and bring her back. The '59 is such an iconic car!

I just got one of these and it worked perfectly fine until I tried to play a 3rd record. The base that the record player is moving slow....even when fully cranked up. Have any notes for me

Is that thing for sale? I'm looking for a 59 Biscayne sedan 4door, that one would be perfect!
