I’m a little late to the show this time, but wow. I hadn’t really looked into Snap Back, (it’s not my fav song either, just personally) so I didn’t realize it had all these tie ins with the other songs, that’s actually so cool. Tyler is always hiding Easter eggs and references wherever he goes, so I shouldn’t be surprised at this point. You sounded great to me Dema, hope your exams went well!

Hey S clique, has anyone else seen the Heathen's rereleace that was uploaded about 6 days ago with the screen image title of "Stanger Hits"? Could it maybe be a reference that they might feature in the soundtrack of the new season or could it be something else? Might be something to look into... P.s. It doesn't feature in the recent of their account. I found it in my recommendations.

Snap Back needs more love.

For me, this album is about the cycle of addiction. From trying to restart fresh (overcompensate), getting hit with your trauma (next semester), trying to hold back relapse (backslide), ruminating (routines in the night), barely holding on (vignette), relapse (snap back), restarting your streak (oldies station) and continuing over. Tyler himself seems to say vignette is about addiction. I believe Clancy as an album is a character study on Clancy that he is an addict. To whatever it is, it’s an endless cycle that continues through the album start to finish and back again.

might find this interesting: They "other voices" often heard in twenty one pilots songs are just pitch shifted doubles done by tyler, it's made with the plugin little alterboy. kinda fitting how it's used as a way to symbolize his internal dialogue. it's all a part of him, but slightly off, almost unsettling at time.

Snap Back is my favorite from Clancy. I struggle very much with the same topic it is about, and it makes me feel so seen. The end section with him dancing is so simple, yet so incredibly poignant and powerful to me. The floaty tune and lovely, soft instrumentation makes me feel surrounded like I'm wrapped in a big warm blanket. It is one of the few songs that, if I'm overwhelmed (i.e. struggling to fight a meltdown - I'm autistic with ADHD), I can turn it on and it just snaps me out of it (pun very much intended), or at the _very_ least, helps me to calm down a bit. I wish I could just have a conversation with Tyler, or hug him or something. Not in an "aww, baby" way that some fans seem intent on perpetuating - in a comforting, knowing way for both parties. Side note - Thank you for explaining the "burning bridges" line! I knew of the idiom, but of course I never realized its true meaning within the narrative of the song! Also, the usage of "The Line" in the background of that section was genius. Second side note - I also didn't understand the "snap necks" phrase. Thank you again. LOL

This song really has grown on me. I didn't like it much when Clancy came out but nowadays it's one of my favorites. Definitely underrated.
