sorry but you can't do shakespeare in an american accent
Almost every single audition clearly specifies not to do monologues in dialect.
the American accent is closer then the British accent to the accent in Shakespeares time
+Jamie Parsons Shakespeare was British, and his plays were performed by British actors speaking in British accents. Shakespeare himself was an Actor before becoming a writer.

The British accent in Shakespeares time was very different to the one we have now, it was a lot like the Birmingham accent
