    This is nothing how it came.. it was a thick paste that does not spread easy at all. When you try to spread it, it sticks to the tool and pulls off one area so you have to do it over and over, this was a useless propaganda tutorial showing something that is not like your paste at all on there.

    Are you supposed to replace the back plate? The directions don't show this with AM4 but if I use the original solid metal backplate the board doesn't stay flush with it with these standoffs. It's also incredibly annoying they have unlabeled bags and both H and F standoffs fit the holes.. I don't see you replace the backplate in the video but mine is not sitting flush like that. If I raise the board it sinks, if the board is on box it does not. If I hold the board up it's not level. I've never had this problem with Noctua coolers.

    • @bazlephrat
      @bazlephrat 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It worried me as well since I haven't built a system in a very long time. There is a gap between the standoff and back plate that allows movement, however once you lay the cooler on and tighten the screws, everything becomes tensioned with no play.

    • @Korodarn
      @Korodarn 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bazlephrat Hmm, unfortunately I've built them a few times with plates and never experienced play, and went out to get another cooler and send this one back, as there were several amazon comments implying that there was a separate AM4 plate you had to contact manufacturer to get. The replacement I got had zero play once the brackets were on. I just couldn't trust this sink not to damage the board eventually if there was actual play left in it. But it's good to know it worked fine for you once you had fully tightened everything. I just wasn't willing to chance the big metal block crashing onto the GPU and potentially damaging both in that process.

    • @billytam8308
      @billytam8308 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just installed an AM4 3700x into a Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro mATX and experienced that play after installing the D, G, H onto the original backplate (I got this motherboard used and it had the AMD Wraith backplate and two plastic standoffs preinstalled). Between standoffs H and F, I found H's to have a coarser thread pitch on the bottom male end and it was identical to the coarse thread pitch on the fasteners on the plastic standoffs (so I used H. F uses the finer thread pitch on both male ends). Next, I installed part Gx4 and followed with part A (the cooler) and tightened up the two spring loaded retention fasteners and the play and wiggle disappeared. I lifted the entire motherboard up by the cooler and everything appears to be stable. It is disappointing that the fastener bags are not labeled.

    I bought a CK720 with brown switches. For a keyboard that claims to be for enthusiasts, there's a terrible pitfall: the right Shift key has an irregular size of U1.5, which makes virtually all keycap sets incompatible with this keyboard AND the original Keycaps are too ugly and horrible to read secondary functions as well as confusing Windows users with Mac OS functions and vice versa. There is no 2nd. layer of programmable functions and macros without the main function of each key being unusable and the existing secondary functions are not remappable and the worst part of this is that the placement of these secondary functions are positioned in confusing and undeducible places and there are redundant functions such as control of volume and media. The possibility of recording multiple profiles is disposable, almost useless. Controlling RGB via software is confusing and extremely labor intensive if you want anything beyond the pre-programmed settings.
