How to remove RB coilpacks for spark plug removal without disturbing the 30 yr old wiring and how to handle that wiring if required. Depends where you want the power band. 3071 is perfect for midrange torque.

No blow off. Remove the vacuum line off your blow off and put a bolt in it to block the line. Or more permanently cut out a gasket from a coke can and put it between the blow off and the flange. Sututu is from no blow off.

@@RealLachlan No. There is no evidence of catastrophic failure from closed throttle compressor surge. Compressor surge on open throttle is a tuning issue regarding mismatched hardware but that is not what this is. Its just pressure rushing backwards and making noises off the fins

How much horsepower dose the r33 have
Just got a 25de+t steel head gasket with a 25det turbo running 8psi running a nistune chipped standard ecu how reliable is this setup? I'm looking to drift at an entry level. What would you do for reliable power with a 25de+t
If its tuned with a new gasket and 8 psi on a higher compression motor then that sounds perfect. If you're at all worried about the health of the setup, take it to a reputable tuner for them to run it on the dyno for a health checkup.

I recently got my rb25 running again, 1 of the coilpacks had to be replaced so installed new splitfire coilpacks, new spark plugs etc....atm it idles a little rough and runs rich, also noticed that the engine just dies as soon as I touch the air intake, any idea if it's a wiring issues or more to do with the AFM?
Did you touch or install a new AFM?

Hey mate I just recently picked up a 3071r gen 2 for my 94 gtst, just curious how you liked it? what rev range boost kicked in and dropped off etc, I’m aiming for a super responsive and “torquey” build got plans to go a twin scroll 6 boost and get an 0.83 ts rear housing for it accompanied by the stock intake runners with a plazmaman top plenum. Big fan of what your doing and teaching the yanks a thing or two about rbs!
Hey mate i think that sounds pretty good. Im on a 0.6 rear on an ebay spec stainless manifold and a freddy intake. I find it a bit laggy for my taste but your setup sounds correct and will achieve all those things you want

@@R6_Leo its not that crazy but no speed cameras or red light cameras. You either need to marry an eagle or apply for the green card lottery every year before the application period runs out. If your car is over 25 yrs old then yes you can ship it over and get it registered.

Garret 3071R 0.63 Most people would probably reccomend a 3076R 0.82 tho
Garrett ta3410 with a .62 rear is also a good starter turbo, one of the cheaper Garretts, was running on my 25det made 310kw at 18psi

Well that's me rb25 stock want to upgrade turbo but have know clue what I'm doing.
So you have a relatively stock Skyline? Front mount intercooler and an exhaust? What are your goals with the car?
@@RBconnection yes all stock wanting to do small up grades braided lines coils plugs intake turbo blow off valves etc.
@@mycity512 Okay well are you committed to running an aftermarket ecu and everything that comes with that including having the car tuned on a dyno? You will need bigger fuel pump, injectors, turbo, exhaust, intercooler, piping. Definitely takes some planning to get the expenditure right. If you want to stay relatively stock you can do a few improvements and increase the boost a little
@@RBconnection well I definitely want to change the turbo too top mount and hks blow off valve. I'm sure I will need other parts to make that happen. I don't wanna go extreme with ecu and tuning unless I have too.
@@mycity512 Why do you want a new turbo? This sounds like you want a certain look and sound but not really the power. You need a tune to run a different turbo on a different manifold. You cant tune a stock ecu so you need a new ecu

Unknown brand high mount exhaust manifold and front facing Greddy copy plenum. Seems decent as they have been fitted to the motor for 10 years with no leaks.
Sounds like a channel that can really get somewhere to me.
