It's the same instance with songs like nightmare by avenged sevenfold and boulevard of broken dreams by green day in the rock band games. The original final line to the chorus to nightmare the singer said "it's your f*cking nightmare!" But in rock band, that line was changed to simply, "it's your - nightmare!" And as for green day, what i believe to be the second verse after the first chorus, the singer says the line "what's f*cked up and everything's alright." And harmonix and the rock band company changed it to "what's - up and everything's alright." It's kinda weird imo. Not to say they should've kept the lines the same, otherwise the game could've had a chance at a 17+ rating.

I think they didn't do that because 1. Rob was still somewhat "New" only having worked on Death Magnetic back in '09 and adding in Jason might've seemed like they were undermining Rob 2. They might've thought it would be disrespectful to Cliff to model him into the game, Especially considering that would involve his model playing songs that were written after his death. 3. The stage animation is based off of Rob's stage presence. It might be a little silly to see Jason spinning around like Rob does, you know?

Zieekel Exactly. They asked Cliff's parents if it would be okay if they modeled him in the game, and they said no. Even if they did agree, it would've been nice to see him play the Kill em All, Lightning and Puppets songs in-game. Maybe as a cheat to unlock with the younger characters when you play Kill em All through Puppets.

***** I know, but i mean, Green Day RockBand basically copy Guitar Hero Metallica, Aerosmith etc. Because of making a music videogame with a band. Why they didn't put every song?

+Ivan Caroselli because of the lisence. Rock Band has ride the lightning, amd justice for all and blackened because they bought the lisence first, so activision couldnt use the songs.
