Bio-Printing Series: Lab 3 Agar Slurry
This video demonstrates how a Agar slurry can be made to use as a support media for extrusion based 3D bio-printing.
00:00 Introduction
00:53 Components of the agar solution
03:05 Why it's important to make the slurry
04:38 Making the slurry
06:25 Adding a small amount (~10%) of liquid CaCl solution
08:23 The final support solution
08:50 Simple ring extrusion
09:22 More complex extrusion

The path tracking is lost due to multiple changes in contrast.
The Naca air foil is an equation given in standards that you enter with the basics dimension and in excel you can have the others point. In the option of spline you enter the points and you have the close pattern. This simulation is very interesting for have the lift factor per square of wings as well as the standard given data . Search for foils in Google by the NASA code you find all informations
super helpful thanks
I just wonder how accurate are those lift and drag values?
Search for Naca numbers you will find the lift and drag factors. Search for Naca 6402 and you will get the equation😊
I loved the video, are you going to post more? I am a master student and I am starting to work with bioprinting. I am the first of my research group to work with bioprinting and it was very helpful to see the bioprinting process so detailed. I am going to use the knowledge from your videos to refine my thesis and try to solve the problems I am facing. I work with alginate too but at a higher viscosity, did you ever work with higher percentage alginate solutions? Thank you for the video, It was very helpful to have a visual aid
Hi, I couldn't find part 1 of 3D rigid body kinematics. Can you please provide a link for part 1.
Sorry Part 1 was recorded in our course management system.
His name is Max 😊
Hey, can you share your 3D model? would help me so much in my projetct
Probably a bit too late, but see attached. A commercially available set of plates would work much better than these BTW. drive.google.com/file/d/1I9Il6Gdd7xd09K2h9dzC9ik7j5fdA-C1/view?usp=drive_link
Greetings, I would like to bring an issue to your attention. It is necessary to reset the extruder to 0 after every line. Currently, each line is set to extrude -0.2, which means it will initially extrude -0.2 and then cease extruding for subsequent lines. To address this, you have two options: 1. Insert "G92 E0" after each line. 2. Alternatively, you can increase the amount of extrusion for each line. For instance, you could use a sequence such as: E-0.2, E0, E0.2, E0.4, and so on.
ProgramData is a hidden folder (if anyone is wondering)
Turns out the mirror for the second half of the tooth cut out is the part that is most likely breaking the ability to automatically update the part when changing the gear ratio with the involute teeth. So we DO need to use an equation for both sides of the tooth (unfortunately).
Very helpful sir, thanks
Thanks to both teams and Dr. Lura for persisting in the face of all the hurdles we've had over the last year!
Great Job Teams
