    Are you using droop blocks when you set toe & camber?

    • @D70racing
      @D70racing 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I don’t. I use droop blocks to set droop.

  • @ceff01
    @ceff01 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi so I don't need the block to rest buggy on. Can I do it resting buggy on the station thanks

    • @D70racing
      @D70racing ปีที่แล้ว

      So the blocks are for droop settings. I would still continue to do it that way, as I’ve found it to be a more accurate method than measuring shock length. I don’t believe the setup station would provide this as it will use the suspension to compensate for a difference in droop settings. I’ve started using the Klinik droop kit, and it works very well. I need to do a video on it. Also the Hudy setup station which I now use too.

    • @ceff01

      @@D70racing thanks, so will it be okay to do it without the blocks. I have the 6mik setup station, do you know how to do the front toe. The long bar comes with 2 holes with zero either side but I can't put then on it because the buggy has toe out

      @@ceff01 yes while on the setup station, you’ll need the radio on and buggy powered. Use the top plate to adjust toe one side at a time. Set camber also then recheck toe as it will change with adjusting camber.

    Got mine ordered. Can’t wait for it. I’ve got a tailon a Typhon a kaiju and a ZD 1/8 short course. All 6S cars. So I’m kind of downgrading to 4S. Will I see a difference or was that a step over or down rather than up? I haven’t decided which car i am going to use it with yet.

    • @D70racing
      @D70racing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s great. Yes if you go down to 4s you will notice the difference in overall speed. But imo 4s is much more controllable and easier on equipment.

      @jimmyv1753 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@D70racing that was my opinion. I thought I might make up for the loss of voltage by getting the higher end matched set. I’m curious because I have these very similar speed cars and so I’ll be able to tell a difference easily

    • @jimmyv1753
      @jimmyv1753 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why wouldn’t it work? They come with a much higher KV value near 3300kv if I’m not mistaking so it’s similar to the brushless granite motor wise. Very slightly more amps with probably the dynamite 130 esc. So is it an issue of will it fit? Because if you pull one esc and motor out and replace it with a similar scale sized esc and motor it’ll work. It might require a different pinion or battery. I Now if I’m way out of line I apologize. Maybe there is a consideration I’m missing. I’d say go for it with a slightly larger pinion and a decent 4S. Should run like an ape. I’ve modified a dozen RCs and the only time I’ve had real issues is when I’ve tried cheaper quality ESCs. They just don’t perform consistently. I’d love to hear what you decided and how it performed.

    What would be the process to get Adam Drake to break in the motor? I'm thinking of getting this combo

    • @D70racing
      @D70racing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I was ready to purchase it. I emailed Adam Drake and told him I was buying the FP02 and wanted him to do the ebis break in. He explained how to buy it on the Mugen Racing site and opt for will call pickup, with a note saying for Adam to break in. This way he takes it, does his thing, and you just pay the shipping and “Drake in” service directly to Adam. Been balancing wheel and tire assembly's since my alum tub RC-10 days,, which helped immensely with the less than stellar Team Associated wheels and savagely molded tires back then. Modelers clay from the craft shop and clean bearings in the wheels. Keep adding bits of clay inside the wheel until it balances out even on either side. Ballistic Batteries(now defunct) made a 1/8 scale tire balancer of which I have and have used extensively for years. I double checked my Ballistic balancer to the new Hudy balancing setup and it was unchangeable with a balanced wheel and tire between both balancers.. Make sure to level your setup board on the worktable and double check the balancing station at ALL angles for level before starting the process,,or you will be off on the balance. Once leveled,,don't move it or bump it. You can mark the setup board for location of the balancing station once leveled, or blue tape it to the board. These little things make a BIG difference in the outcome of the balance job. I use a Wheeler Engineering Crosshair leveling kit for a bubble level. Thanks for the vid.
