Not everything is important, I swear

Hi guys! This video explores how not everything in life is necessarily important and why it's helpful for us to live by the belief that 'most things are trivial, and few are vital' in life! This is not a book review or summary of Essentialism, but rather a reflection on the main takeaway I had from reading the book. I hope this message resonates with anyone who is struggling to prioritize thems...

    For me it’s Anxiety and depression which is essentially the nagging feeling that you should be doing these necessary things, but it’s ok because you don’t feel like doing them in the first place.

      100%! Having a good balance between productive work & resting is of course crucial to everyone! I do struggle with that nagging feeling sometimes, but I try to remind myself that I don't have to be productive or "doing things" all the time!

    For me the current problem with society is not the fear of failure, is the fear of average simple routine. We are bombarded 24/7 with the delusional idea we have to do things and feel amazing every single day without a boring routine like, you'll have a perfect body but you won't show the hours at the gym and the hours of making healthy foods at home every single day cuz the process don't entertain other losers, you just show fractions of you bubly happy full of make up face at the gym or at Starbucks like OmG "she's so happy and pretty"...let me tell you: being pretty all the time takes boring hours of working on yourself and that happiness 24/7 is a blatantly lie. We are bombarded with lies and fake happiness since social media happened in the planet, due to this less and less people are appreciating their average and simple existence and their normal routines chasing this unachievable illusion of happiness that can just occur if you're your personal ideal of Great with no journey or process whatsoever to get there

    • @gdaybygrace
      @gdaybygrace 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! I agree with you 100% that we need to put in the actual work to get to our goals, but often times we just want to jump ahead and achieve without putting in any of the effort - which in this case is the mundane, routine work that you mentioned. On this topic, I encourage people to break up their steps into achievable goals so that we have smaller milestones/goals that we can check off along the way (simple, actionable step to make the routine more fun/rewarding!). But I do like the point you mentioned out about not appreciating the "ordinary life and chasing unachievable illusion of happiness", this could be a great idea for video content in the future, if interested! :)

      Hey Nicole, I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the video! What I used to do when I practice was to record myself after every practice session and then rewatch my video to see what areas I need to improve on (you can first focus on your singing then posture/facial expressions, etc!). For youtube channels, I really liked Cheryl Porter Vocal Coach (fun, quick vocal warm ups), Singeo, and Madeleine Harvey! Hope this helps ☺️

If you feel like you know 10% of it, go for it! I know it’s hard but something great might happen if you let things unfold itself and teach you along the way☺️ hope this helps🙏🏻🥰
