What control software are you using ? KC3ZDW 73
What did the ride vehicle looked like?
I love how at the end the kids are like, “can we do it again!”🤣👍🏻And the parents are like “No!” Lol 😂 😆 😝 👎🏻 party poopers!
I don't understand why you did not tune the VFO so that you were on frequency with them? It makes no sense listening to them when you are Off Frequency? I guess since I currently own my Fourth ICOM 7000 I understand how they work & maybe you don't?
Have to ask, why are you on your fourth? What's failing in them? thanking about getting a used one for a mobile application but if they are failing that quickly... maybe thats why its being sold...
@@shaofuchang515 None of them have had Any issues but I tried other mobiles and nothing came close to the ICOM 7000.I went back to the BEST because I only want the BEST.Nothing else comes close but I gave them a chance.👍👏🎙
@@1OFGODSOWN I have the FT-857 for the mobile, I don't understand why Yaesu favors that orange color that makes you see green all over after staring at it long enough. The 7000 uses some kind of proprietary separation cord though
@@shaofuchang515 I had the 857D and in my opinion it’s the Worst Amateur Radio I have ever owned or used.I would never own another even for Free if I must keep and use it.
I thought it was ok, just runs hot sitting idle. Both the FT-857 and the FT-991A seems to heat itself up just sitting there doing nothing. Between the 991A and the IC-7300 I ended up keeping the IC-7300 Only yaesu's i have are just HTs, FT-60s, old dinosaurs, still carrying on working

Always broken! 😠🤬

4:02 The Little Girl Needs To Shut Up For Real

I see they have edited the ride film from its original. Did it have to do with the cancon policy?
Gosh! I sure wish that I could use my cb radio
Ha ha ha t can we do it agin no
At 1:53 that is one terrifying clown. I guess that's guaranteed to give people nightmares.
Do they still have this at Niagara Falls???
4:08 OWNED!
yep
3:34 Bad breath lol
Great video!!! Love the ICOM 751, good audio!!! Thanks for sharing it.... 73, Joe-K4JGA
Icom 740 was my 1st hf rig. loved it..
As for the music, I'm guessing he could get by with station in distress rules. But that wouldn't apply all the time, for example if you get put on hold ordering a pizza. But in cases like these, I'm sure no ones gonna make a fuss. Also, I'm surprised you guys don't have a time out timer reset command. It comes in handy especially with auto patch.
Why didn't he just use a cell phone like the rest of humanity?
This is an ignorant thing to say. I remember one time my lovely cell phone with the Waze app took me into the middle of nowhere with NO cell phone frequencie which means my Waze could NOT be updated and I could not phone out for help. IT HAPPENS so don't be stupid like the "rest of humanity" and be ONLY dependent on an unreliable resource like "cell phones".
Dawson Adams Contrary to what those who never venture outside of urban areas believe, no, there isn't cellphone coverage everywhere. Where I live, you get cellphone coverage for about 10 minutes on the highway once you leave the city, after that there is no coverage. However, our ham radio repeater network provides radio coverage for about 1.5 hours outside of town. We currently have plans to expand our repeater network to cover most of the ~500km of highway between two cities. The cellphone carriers, well, they have no such plans. For them, it's all about the money and they're not going to add cell towers to cover areas where those cell towers are never going to turn a profit. So yes, many remote areas in fact do not have cell coverage. Besides, cell networks can't always be relied upon in the event of a major emergency. Too many people trying to make cell calls at the same time effectively cripples the cellular networks.
Not everyone lives in an urban environment with 100% coverage. They are obviously Canadian with the accents. Looking at a Canadian carrier coverage map you can see a lot of areas that lack phone service. There are many sparsely populated areas in Canada without carrier service.
Ham radio, when all else fails!
meh no one gives a shit lol
Very cool radio indeed :)
Would he have to be talking to the gas station on the ISS??
sounds like the whole trailer park has a radio
Do you ever go out ha
I love my Icom 7000 and working HRD with even better. 73!
remember the coleco cb days . frm the levi kid over.....
@jwoutdoors303 sorry about that I meant conversations on one channel haha all these FCC rules gives me a headache
@oldredneckranger90 im new to CB radioing and why can conversations on another channel only last five minutes. Also what do you mean by another channel i thought you could choose whatever channel and talk to people for however long.
Hey Kevin, my batterys have been runnin low for bloody years ha ha. Good video man..
@Judocraft It depends on what your trying to specify as legal...improper use of the CB can fall in many different categories including modification to your radio to exceed the maximum stock wattage. Conversations cannot last more than 5 minutes with another station. A one minute break is required to let others use the channel. Profanity is not allowed. But FCC does not enfoce these rules which leads people to abuse the CB radio. The reason they don't is because CB radios have phasedout since 1970
they must be very local, like down the street lol
@DonelsonC (that was in response to chrismongrel earlier
Oh my, you again! Always instigating trouble and annoying the children. Yes, many CBers use illegal power around here, but the FCC field office in Detroit, Mi has been cracking down on them (CQ Magazine May 2010) It is sad that sooooo many people waste their time (and money) with Chicken Band and the lil half a mHz 11 meter crap.... I still don't believe that many CBers dont know about the other bands like 160m, 80m, 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70 cm. 1.2 gHz bands...:-(
i used to have fun on that small spectrum of channelized frequencies. But HAM is definitely the better choice! Congrats on getting your ticket! 73!
@OH2FFY What a douche. Has your "Life partner" built a bridge to get over the river your crying? *sniffle* *sniffle*................................*sniffle* I love it. A "You Tube" warrior.
@KevinRedMan2007 Ditto. Now there are 3 hams that I let use my repeater. Talk about bigger and better. Your right.
Some locals here in Colorado Springs always try to key on everyone. So, I built a repeater to put on the mountainside, and game over. I use it with respect, but it covers the whole city with 20+. GAME OVER. It's funny. You might be interested.
Cool old radio AJ4CD
Childrens band, ILLEGAL, lots of cbers use illegal watts in your country
nice! nice! nice! RADIO!
ILLEGAL!
hello from torreon coahuila mexico my name is fabian sifuentes
I have never owned or seen a ham radio in person, but they seem interesting. I'd like to listen in to some of the conversations, can I do that on the internet or hear other samples on youtube OR do you suggest I buy an inexpensive radio? I'm in the southern part of northern Delaware.
I used to travel a lot and a CB was real handy before cell phones. I got in around 1970 with a base SSB that could run mobile. It was fun cranking out 25w on a clear channel. Even power mics in an adjacent channel were no bother. Talk to someone on the Interstate going the other direction and you would have a 5 maybe 10 minute conversation then they were gone. And now the old CB stores and repair joints have passed into our collective history sort of like roadside attractions.
What time of the day was this filmed..
Enjoyed the demo! I miss my Radio.
legal?
Great video and the old Icom looks super.
congrats on becoming a HAM.. 73 W5AJB
