My First Day Living In Curacao
This is it! I finally moved to the beautiful island of Curacao. This is how I spent my first day there.

Before I’m able to move to Curaçao for good I had to sell my New Jersey home. Saying goodbye is hard but when you’re moving to a Caribbean island somehow it seems much easier. I loved this home (but not the location so much); it has so many great features you won’t find in other homes. It was truly special. If I could pick this home up and take it to the island with me I would. Enjoy the tour!!!

I have never been to Curaçao but it’s looking real attractive especially since I’m a dual US/Dutch citizen. I am giving serious thought to heading that way in a few years after I get some things situated in NL. Looks lovely!

Wear sunscreen everyday. Curaçao is lovely but extremely hot. Country sleeps in late.
House # 4 also has banana or maybe plantain trees.
I enjoyed Curacao so much. I can't wait to visit again. I would love to live there!

House number 4 & 9
Yes!!! I loved both of these houses. ❤️ They just weren’t what we needed/wanted at the time.
Congrats on the house! How is the real estate market in Curacao? Did you have to compete with multiple buyers? Is it a buyers or sellers market? My family is dreaming over here of moving out
The real estate market in Curacao is much better than the US right now (for buyers, not sellers). We purchased this house and the empty lot for what equates to about $210,000 American dollars. Another great thing about Curacao is that in many instances it is cheaper to build your home because labor is much more inexpensive there. We calculated that building two small units on our lot will be around $60,000…not bad, huh?
I think you picked #4, even though you probably would have picked #9 if it wasnt out of your price range.

Yes!!! Four was super cute and unique (which I love), but 6 is what we actually need right now to grow. I believe it’s the best decision business-wise and financially.
