1:03:23 honestly it was easy for me to remember their powers since each power symbolize each member so well. Like Chen's voice is as powerful as lightening, Chanyeol is as passionate (for music) and feiry (for competition) like fire, Xiumin has spikey hairs like ice and also his vampiristic looks just like cold so his power is frost, D.O. is really hard as a rock (earth/force), Lay is always there for his members in times of crises like a healer, Suho's personality and voice are as calm as water, Sehun's personality is unpredictable just like wind, Kai really attracts everything & everywhere at all stages so teleportation. You'll get it once you learn their personalities through individual guides.

i just found your channel and i love your reactions already. im so happy you do the reacting twice thing because so many new reactors will just pick visuals and not look at lyrics at all and i get kpop is about the visuals a lot more than the lyrics but bts has always been the opposite or rather in the middle equally. you cant have some bts songs without the visuals but you cant have any song without the lyrics besides a small small handful. they been writing their lyrics for group and solo music since 2013 (debut) and 2015 (when they started releasing solo mixtapes and songs) i get some people like to vibe which is great but leaving lyrics out is like looking at the cover of a book and never opening it. bts music is very personal to them the group songs are personal to the groups story and just opinions and experiences theyve had or witnessed and their solo songs are their individual stories or stories they relate to (depending on if they wrote it or not) because yes there are some songs bts has not written but the difference between them and a lot of kpop groups if THEY make the choices of what songs they make whether they write it produce it or dont participate in anything but vocals and rap they made the decision to make that song. it might be different and a hard concept to grasp due to how kpop usually is but even songs like dynamite and butter they didnt write majority of those songs (they didnt write dynamite at all and namjoon wrote the raps in butter but thats it) they chose those songs out of who knows how many offers and they spoke together all 7 to try and rewrite some lyrics in korean or even write new lyrics all together but they liked the english version best so they went with it and for butter rm thought since dynamite didnt have rap he should add some rap lyrics so he did. they have a say in every aspect of their careers they do not follow most kpop rules and they speak out on things most dont speak out on especially in asian societies. example they do not have a dating ban they never did. they all drink, they all now have a tattoo with jungkook and jimin having the most. a few other them smoke cigarettes, theyve been hinting at relationships for a few years now because since they write the lyrics you need to write from personal experience for it to be that honest or believable emotional soulful etc. even if you didnt write it the emotion you bring shows you experienced it before. for example come back to me by rm or hate you by jungkook. rm wrote come back to me. jungkook did not write hate you but both showed emotion that you can just tell they went through what theyre singing about. V as well his album is very r&b jazzy soul etc he didnt write the lyrics but the emotions in his voice are enough proof to know he went through similar situations. also any song you see that is not written by that member that member had full creative freedom to add to it, change it, reject it, or accept it as is and if they accepted it as is its cause they connected with it. and those same members have written multiple songs before whether other solo songs not on albums or songs on bts albums either parts of group songs or the solo songs within the group albums. yup starting at wings 2016 every member has solo songs in bts albums. a few even before 2016 but 2016 is when all 7 did on one album. anyways back to what i was saying the western media and even some kpop fans push these rules out into the open which isnt a problem the problem arrives when they generalize and say "kpop doesnt let you ___" or "theyre idols they cant ___" which implies everyone every idol. over 100 idols debut every year since the start of kpop and theyre saying everyone is not allowed to do ___ the misinformation is crazy. in 2018 when i became a army i had the impression that idols couldnt drink when almost every of age idol drinks as does 70% of koreas population (the rest are children if i did the math right) the western media also said they cant get tattoos or cant curse dont write their music etc etc etc but bts normalized these shifts because they got big due to their lyrics along with production, their personalities and then visuals. like since bts and bighit grew together their input got bigger and bigger and already started out with a lot. but for example bighit has mental health professionals that talk with the members regularly even when nothing bad is happening just to check in same with general doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, trainers etc so they can stay healthy but not over diet in the past that was one thing bighit followed like the rest of the industry but in 2016 they realized it wasnt healthy so they got the professionals to keep it at healthy levels. theres so much more you should react to bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste and boracity magazines videos as well as bbygangmags videos. for boracity you need to prepare yourself for her videos. try to keep in mind she DOES NOT hate any other groups. she doesnt mean hate or disrespect towards the other groups her points are for labels and media. do not take anything she says about other groups personally cause its not meant as hate for the groups its meant towards the labels and media only. im saying this because her videos are important to bts story for you as a baby army to understand but it is a bts centric channel and bts has a lot of enemies in korea whether kpop stans want to accept it or not because theyre a huge part of it so they ignore their involvement as well as /some/ of their faves involvement and especially labels and media. when it comes to stray kids comments im just letting you know up front cause she doesnt name drop them at all but shows media articles that involve them its about the label and media not them. i also like a few jyp artists and i see how nice a few stray kids members are especially respecting bts and admitting they paved the way while so many others dont and are very disrespectful towards bts. i see you check out other artists i wont even go into details for those i just mentioned stray kids cause its seems like youre a huge fan already of them. please dont back out of reacting to her channel you can even say you will be ignoring the slights towards other groups and are there to learn the facts and history of whats been happening over the years so every understand you arent hating anyone. because he videos are very important. other guides and videos are great but none go as deep as bora goes. and i especially recommend bbygangmags because he breaks down so many cultural and historical connections to how and why kpop is framed the way it is in the west as well as knows in depth kpop history and explains with examples i cant describe these two channels enough on how helpful they are even as a army from 2018 when i started watching them i was amazed at how uninformed i still was when i thought i knew so much already. and for xceleste she has wonderful videos but doesnt go into full details because it is hard to do so so try to keep in mind shes showing maybe 5% of what happened back then and 2% of how bad each situation was. like if you think its bad it was at least 5x worse than what youre comprehending. all of this is important to understand bts lyrics on deeper levels cause their music is so personal. it hits different when you know the backstory as you can see here with amygdala.

When I first found ATEEZ during Covid, I watched SeongHwa’s vlives before going to sleep. I found myself crying and not realizing. I still call him my home to this day (and today is my 3 year Atinyversary). SeongHwa truly is the comfort for all ATEEZ and Atiny. ATEEZ is the safest place in the world. Don’t worry about the crying girl, cuz we all sob to this guide among other things. I mean I think I sobbed for 3 months straight when I found ATEEZ. They brought out so much emotion I didn’t realize I had bottled up inside. I love our ATEEZ. They truly made me remember how much I love music and how it moves me.

Why are you crying already? Because it's ATEEZ. They are hilarious, chaotic, fun and so full of heart. Don't worry about crying on camera, they do it too. It's all part of being ATINY. Joyful tears, sad tears, heart-touching moments tears... lots of tears. I've seen their vocals bring grown men to tears. I honestly don't trust people who haven't cried about ATEEZ. Anyone with a heart open to them finds it covered in tears sooner or later. It's because they evoke so much love. People don't love ATEEZ like they love their new favorite TV show, we love ATEEZ like family. Family that loves you back, and tells you so. Frequently. I fully wept through their entire performance of Pirate King at MAWAZINE in Morocco. Wept. It was such a big moment. Just remember, you are certainly not the first person to cry over ATEEZ, and wouldn't even be CLOSE to the first person they saw crying over them if they did see it. I fully expect I will cry when I see them next week.

Kai's "Rover" lyrics and MV can be interpreted in two ways. One way is that the song talks about Kim JongIn (Kai is his stage name), his life and who he is as an artist and person. The other interpretation I think is meant to tell his EXO character Kai's story and continue EXO's storyline. To understand what is happening in Kai's "Rover" MV, you have to keep in mind EXO's storyline and concept. As a member of an SM group, for anyone who knows SM, it's no surprise that Kai is such a great singer and performer. You can't be an SM artist without having superior vocals and dance skills. All of SM's artists were first chosen for their visuals, vocals and/or dance skills, and even the rappers get hyper focused training as vocalists. That is why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And EXO are a great example of that. One of the reasons why "Rover" was chosen for Kai's title song is because the concept of the song and MV was designed with Kai's storyline in mind. To understand why Kai is Mr. Rover, you have to keep in mind that Kai's superpower in EXO is the ability to teleport, which is why in the "Rover" MV we see him blink in and out of scenes and at the end he disappears as he dives off the stage, etc. The MV is literally showing how he is Mr. Rover -- a rover is someone who roams, travels, wanders all over the place. Kim JongIn was given the stage name Kai because it means opening in Chinese and he is supposed to be the one who opens the doors and travels between time and space and dimensions, etc. to connect all the EXO/SuperM members together, which is why his superpower is teleportation. If you notice, at one point in the MV we see Kai's face is bruised up and it looks like he might have been in a fight. Because Kai can teleport and appear at any time and place he wants to, the fight in which he was injured could have happened at any time or place. it doesn't necessarily mean it took place at that exact moment in the "Rover" MV, and it may not even have anything to do with the storyline of "Rover" specifically. For all we know, he is appearing in "Rover" after traveling from another place within EXO's storyline. The fight may have happened in a different location, time or dimension, and it's even thought that EXO -- or specifically Kai -- can time travel to different times and places throughout history. It's probably another one of those scenes that is meant to create connections in EXO's storyline and reference something that has happened, or will happen in the future, in their other MVs. In "Rover" we also see him taking on different identities. It depicts the different identities or sides of his personality -- Kai the sexy, over confident on stage personality -- powerful hip-hop dancer -- or Kim JongIn the elegant, ballet dancer, etc. As the main dancer of EXO, Kai is literally one of the top two best dancers in Kpop. And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days, and is a fellow member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) There is literally no one better when it comes to dance in the world of Kpop than Kai and Taemin. Kai's love for dance started with jazz and ballet. From a young age, he began training to become a ballet dancer. So he learned form and technique first before any other style of dance. That's why I think you can see such precision in his dancing. As a child, he fell in love with dancing after seeing the Nutcracker and he told his parents that he wanted to do that. So, his whole foundation with dance began with ballet. He says, that if he hadn't been bribed by his father to audition for SM Entertainment, and if he hadn't become a Kpop star, he probably would be a professional ballarino today. Kai became a trainee with SM when he was about 12 -- he debuted as a member of EXO when he was around 18 -- so he has been honing his skills and dedicating himself to become one of the best in the industry for years. And now, at 29, he has literally been recognized as one of the best of the best. Also as a member of EXO, as part of their storyline, it is thought that the EXO members are supposed to be going about their tasks incognito, which means that in order to keep a low profile Kai probably needs to take on many different identities as he travels across time and space, through different points in history or to different dimensions, etc. Therefore, every time we see Kai change his look in the MV it's probably showing that he is teleporting to that same location from a new time period or location in history on his quest to find the EXO members and stop the Red Force, etc. He keeps coming back to that same location because he needs that woman, or whomever she works for, to change his identity and to get new documents, etc. To the average person this looks like just a regular theater where plays, concerts and events take place, but there is probably something else that is going on behind the scenes. And the barbershop he keeps going to probably doubles as an undercover agency that is helping Kai in his mission to take down the Red Force. (In spy movies you often see little mom and pop-type businesses, such as barbershops, that look innocent from the outside, but it really doubles as a front for something else.) Fun fact: If you pay attention to some of the names he chooses for his aliases in this MV, one of the names is Elliot Billy, which is pretty clearly a reference to the well known ballet movie Billy Elliot, which Kai has said influenced his love of ballet. And of course, the red light is most likely supposed to represent something to do with the Red Force, which is the evil being or group in EXO's storyline who the EXO members are fighting against. Therefore, it is thought either, Kai is being controlled by the Red Force in those scenes, or maybe this whole MV is depicting X-EXO Kai, which is Kai's alter ego clone that has been created by the Red Force. Also keep in mind, that in EXO's concept blue is supposed to represent EXO as a way to distinguish between EXO and X-EXO. Things that are blue are thought to symbolize EXO or show when EXO has the upper hand. Therefore, in the scenes where you see blue this could be showing the EXO version of Kai. And in the scenes where we see blue and red together, or purple colors -- blue and red mixed together make purple -- this could be showing how EXO and X-EXO, or EXO and the Red Force, are battling for control or are in conflict, etc. Yet again, just another example of how EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. (We only hope that someday SM will release the book or produce a movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.) "Rover" is the title track on Kai's third mini album. There are 6 songs on this album. Kai's "Rover" is actually a remix and I think the style can be considered reggaeton based, which is a music genre with reggae and Puerto Rican/Latin influences. If you want a sample of the other songs on this album check out his "Film: Kai #Rover," which, like his previous two albums, is a sample of all the songs on his Rover album. "(In his Rover film you will see other scenes where he looks like he has been in a fight, which could possibly be connected to his "Rover" storyline.) Kai is a fashion icon and he is highly sought after by some of he biggest names and brands in fashion to be their model and brand ambassador, etc. Kai had a hand in styling this whole MV. Therefore, I'm sure that everything he wore was expertly selected from some of the top fashion brands. And the MV was specifically styled to represent his designer model status. As you can see, he is also considered one of the sexiest Kpop idols, and he is known for his super sexy onstage personality, which is why you often see him shirtless or wearing crop tops when he is performing. However, if you really get to know him, you will see that when not on stage he is almost the complete opposite of what you see here. He is actually soft spoken, cutely innocent and pretty shy in real life.

Fun fact: Peaches, and peach trees in particular, symbolize immortality in Korean culture and the modern take on traditional Korean clothing that Kai wears in his "Peaches" MV seems to symbolize that he is an immortal being that plans to continue his journey for many more years with no plans of stopping. I have also heard that images with everything to do with this MV and comeback content reference things to do with traditional Korean folktales, so Koreans, and those that know Korean culture, would understand some of the references and stories he is referring to. I'm also fairly certain that there are also things in this video that can be connected to EXO's storyline, however, I haven't made any solid connections yet. The title of this song and album is stylized as "Peaches^2" because this is Kai's second solo album. I guess it's SM's new style, they put the album number in the title of the album. Peaches is a mini album with 6 tracks. If you want a sample of the other songs on this album, check out his "Peaches Prologue Film." The prologue film is similar to Kai's "Film: Kai," and "Film:Kai #Rover" videos, which is a sample of all his songs on his albums. If you are impressed with his dancing, you should check out Kai's dance practice video for "Peaches."

As you saw, EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte" (greyish-tan, like the color of a latte coffee) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars together. (As otherworldly beings, even EXO's official color is linked to the group's concept.)

The fact that Chen is married with children -- he has 2 little girls now -- and still a member of an idol group doesn't sit well with a lot of fringe fans. When it comes to the Korean public there are different standards for what it means to be an idol. Therefore, he and his family have gotten a lot of backlash from anti-fans in the past. The group has been boycotted and some people have even demanded that he be kicked out of the group. That's why, you hardly ever see anything about his private life mentioned anywhere. However, being married as an idol is generally looked at favorably by most international fans.

Unfortunately, the political climate between Korea and China was only a little better for a short time. However, since this guide was made, China's Idol culture has become even more restrictive after the election of their new president. Plus, Lay left SM Entertainment in 2022 -- when his contract was up after 10 years -- but he has made it clear that he hasn't left EXO. Case in point, he recently his solo comeback with his song "Psychic" and he has even promoted a Korean version of the song on music shows in Korea and he also just was in Korea for his concert tour. In order to avoid any conflict between China and Korea, his album is an All-English album, just like most of his solo releases when he was under SM. Although there are still several obstacles in his way to being able to work with EXO. Lay is a megastar in China, literally one of the biggest celebrities in China today. The reason why he is so big in China now, I think is essentially a product of the fact that he could no longer promote with EXO. He first started to do some solo work in China while he was still promoting with EXO, but at that time he was mostly famous in China because of EXO. When the political tensions between Korea and China ramped up, he decided that if he wanted to continue his career, he needed to really focus everything he had in China. That's when he started to establish himself as a solo artist in China and to begin to build his career as a producer, singer, dancer, actor, model and all-around entertainer. You should check out Lay's official lyric video for his song "Jiu," a song on his East album, which was released after he announced his departure from SM. This song is evidence that he has not left EXO and that he still considers himself part of the group, as every word of the song is a tribute to EXO. I have also read that on Webo (the Chinese internet server) he mentioned how he was working out a deal with SM that could possibly allow him to still continue to do projects with EXO in the future. (I mean it's possible, afterall that's essentially the deal that Baekhyun, Xiumin, Chen and D.O. have. They have moved their solo promotions to other companies, but they still participate in things with EXO, which is under SM. Lay probably just has a few more stipulations than the other member.) I mean, SM has been supporting Lay in everything he has been doing so far, including endorsing him when he started his idol trainee company Chromosome in China. And I don't think there is any bad blood or uneasy feelings between Lay and SM, so anything is possible. As mentioned, Lay's hiatus from EXO is not something he has chosen, but it's something that has sort of been forced upon him by the government. When China first began cracking down on their citizens working in Korea around 2016 -- as a political protest over South Korea's alignment with the U.S. and China's support of North Korea, etc. -- there were rumors that the Chinese government was threatening to revoke the citizenship of any mainland native Chinese person who continued to do business with a Korean company and lived outside of China. This rule would have prevented Idols, such as Lay, from visiting family and doing business in China, etc. The only way for them to avoid this from happening was for them to come back to China right away and stop doing business with their Korean companies. I don't know if this was really true or if it was just a rumor, but that is what I heard. Which would explain why some Chinese Idols don't feel any pressure to stop working in Korea because they have nothing to lose if they don't have family or a life in China or they aren't mainland Chinese citizens, etc. Yes, there are lots of Chinese Idols still working in Korea. However, these idols don't have the connections to the Chinese government the way Lay and other idols do. Many of those Chinese idols' careers don't depend on being able to promote or live in China and many Chinese idols don't have close family living in mainland China or they are not from mainland China, which is why they have more immunity from the restrictions placed on Chinese citizens. For example, NCT-Dream's Chinese members don't work very much in China and most of WayV's members are not from mainland China. That is also why SM has created Label V in order to make it possible for WayV to release music in China and its why WayV distances themselves from NCT whenever they promote in China. Lay's whole career is tied to being able to work and live in China and he is closely connected to the Chinese government as an ambassador of youth, so he has to tread lightly when it comes to how he conducts himself and who he chooses to associate with, etc. He can't afford to be blacklisted in the Chinese entertainment industry. For a long time, Lay was even discouraged from mentioning EXO by name in TV shows and interviews, but he always finds subtle ways to make it clear that being a member of EXO, and his EXO brothers, are always very important to him. We finally got to see Lay in an EXO project in 2021 -- the first time since 2016 (besides his brief solo appearance in EXO's "Tempo" MVs in 2018) -- with EXO's "Don't Fight The Feeling" MV, but he really didn't get to work with EXO because of the pandemic, etc. Everything he did for that MV was done remotely and independently and inserted into the song and MV. Lay started out learning how to dance as a trainee when he signed with SM at the age of about 17. According to him, at that time he wasn't a very good dancer and it took him a lot of hard work and time to get to the level that he's at today. Now he has become one of the BEST dancers in China that EVERYONE looks up to. Currently his favorite style of dance that he has been focusing a lot of his training on is Krump. Lay is regarded as an industry expert that pretty much all other dancers and musicians look up to -- he has even been credited with making Krump a mainstream dance style in China, and he is one of China's leading experts when it comes to Krump. However, he started out by learning popping and locking as a trainee with SM. Because of Lay's drive to constantly be learning new things, he is always striving to learn as much as possible and to be as diverse as possible about all styles of dance and cultures. Lay is such a good dancer because he literally is in the dance studio practicing for 6 hours EVERYDAY. (In an episode of Street Dance of China 4 in 2021, he specifically said "I practice for 6 hours every day." And he meant he does it regardless, no matter how busy he is or what he has going on. He even finds time to practice during filming for reality shows that have nothing to do with dance.) I have seen in a documentary where he starts his day around 4 a.m., he gets done with his schedule of events around 9 p.m. and then he spends from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the dance studio with his dance mentor dancing. That's also why he was given the title of the nation's producer by the Chinese government, and why he has been a mentor/dance instructor and main PD for several Idol trainee survival competition shows in China. (These are programs similar to American Idol, where trainees compete to be chosen to become members of a new idol group.) He is pretty much considered an expert when it comes to dance and performance, and he is beginning to gain the respect of songwriters, composers and music producers from all over the world. He is who everyone, especially in China, looks to as an example of what it takes to be an Idol. He is literally considered one of the most successful celebrities in China.

Baekhyun's 4th solo album and title track -- which came out in 2021 -- is called "Bambi" for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by some of his fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because he was about to enlist in the military and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he was away for 18 months serving his country. However, the song is more about the fact that Bambi refers to "night rain" as you see he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean -- Bam as in night and bi as in rain. And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the nickname of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D However, the song has very little, if anything, to do with the Disney movie -- the cute little deer with the same name, isn't really even connected to the song. (In western pop culture the name Bambi is given to female characters in novels and movies because it is used as a metaphor for her sexual appeal and appearance. That is why Disney chose that name for the deer in their story because it was a play on the fact that Bambi has long legs and big doe-eyes like a voluptuous woman. :D So Baekhyun is not talking about a deer in the song, but he is using it as a nickname for the woman he is singing about.) Because Baekhyun's EXO superpower is the ability to control light, it is thought that what you see happening in the tunnel isn't supposed to be fireworks, but it's supposed to be the explosion of light bulbs, etc. because his passion -- as manifested through his epic high note -- makes him lose control of his powers, etc. I think Tinkerbell in the lyrics is supposed to be a reference to the fact that she is a little fairy that is often represented by the twinkle of light, which is also a metaphor for how he sees the woman he is singing about. Like a fairy, the woman lights up his life. Which, if you want to connect it to EXO's storyline, also could be a reference to the heart of the Tree of Life, as well as EXO's fans, EXO-Ls. (EXO has a song called "Peter Pan," where it can be interpreted as the EXO members are Peter and their fans are TInkerbell.) As part of EXO's overall storyline, the woman in EXO's songs is often thought to be a metaphor and physical representation of the heart of the Tree of Life. That is why the members are always trying to save the girl or protect her, or they talk about being controlled by the power of the woman or they are worried about their passion destroying her, etc. It's EXO's job to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force. EXO was sent to Earth on a mission to find the two halves of the tree and reunite them in order to restore peace in the world. The two halves of the tree -- EXO-K (Korean) represents one half and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) represents the other half -- were originally separated in order to keep the Red Force from gaining control. However, now, in order to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, EXO needs to defeat the Red Force and find where the two halves of the tree have been hidden. Therefore, on that note, I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SM Entertainment's male supergroup SuperM -- which Baekhyun and EXO's Kai are a part of -- in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see SM girl group aespa also in a subway train in their debut "Black Mamba" MV and we see SM legendary boy group SHINee in an old train station in their "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see EXO's Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that, we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut song "One of Those Nights." And if we go back even further, we see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX -- which Baekhyun is also a member of -- on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. And because Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and a member of EXO, that usually means it's connected to SM Entertainment's SM Culture Universe storyline.

To understand the story in EXO's "Ko Ko Bop" MV, you have to connect the story in "Ko Ko Bop" to the story in their "Lucky One" MV. "Ko Ko Bop" may look trippy and crazy, but if you understand EXO's storyline you will see that everything was done for a specific reason. According to the members, Ko Ko Bop is an infectious, happy dance. Hence why it's called Ko Ko BOP. I see it as they are happy to now be free from the Red Forces' control (or happy to be alive), so they are letting loose and dancing. (It can't be about drugs because that would be highly scandalous and it could never be played on the radio or seen on TV, etc. in Korea. Or, at the very least, it has to have more than one meaning, just like their song "Lotto".) There are 8 members in "Ko Ko Bop." This MV came out in 2017 and it was the first MV where Lay, EXO's Chinese member, was unable to participate because of the political issues between the Korean and Chinese government at the time. I can see how people might think that Ko Ko Bop is a drug they are all taking and that is why they are acting like they are high and kind of in a loopy drugged-like state. But to really understand what is happening in "Ko Ko Bop," you have to know what was happening in their "Lucky One" MV. In "Lucky One" EXO has been captured by the Red Force who is doing experiments on EXO to try and figure out what makes them special, and to find a way to prevent them from finding and protecting the Tree of Life, etc. The members all use their powers to escape from the government facility and this is where theories say that the story in "Ko Ko Bop" picks up right after they have escaped in "Lucky One". The blue Ko Ko Bop drink that Suho mixes and the members drink -- which I now think is connected to the blue drink we see Kai drinking in their "Don't Fight the Feeling" MV and the blue drink that we see everyone drinking in their new "Cream Soda" MV -- and the pills or wafers you see them eating, was originally thought to be an elixir that is helping the members to detox from the drugs the Red Force gave them when they were being held against their will in the "Lucky One" MV. Remember, blue represents EXO and red represents the Red Force. When we see red and blue lights flashing in the same scene that's usually thought to represent a moment when EXO and the Red Force are in conflict or they are fighting with each other, etc. So that's why we think the blue drink is something good that is meant to help the EXO members. According to SM the story in "Ko Ko Bop" also shows the members soon after they have arrived on Earth and they are all experimenting with their powers. That is why in "Ko Ko Bop" we see Kai with the power of teleportation using his power to levitate and we see him do the "treadmill" move next to the car. Suho, with the power to control water, jumps into the water and disappears, and later appears inside the washing machine, etc. Xiumin has the power of snow/ice/frost, so he is using his power to create a cloud to fill the glass. Sehun uses his power to control wind to make objects float in the air. D.O. accidentally uses his power of strength/force and splits open the ground when he falls down. We see Chen with the power of thunder/lightning/electricity playing with his power. Baekhyun uses his power of light as he throws the ball in the air and creates that huge flash of light, and Chanyeol uses his power of fire to create the fireworks when he bounces the ball into the sky. The car also looks like it's driving by itself because they are using their powers to control the car, etc. Their unbridled use of their powers and the haphazard way they play with their environment around them can be explained by the fact that they were drugged in "Lucky One" and while they are still dealing with the drugs in their system, in "Ko Ko Bop" their inhibitions are lowered and they use their powers without caution. Those tattoos we can see are fake, but like everything SM does, they aren't just random tattoos, they are specific images and messages as part of EXO's storyline. So part of their story goes: The members were trapped in the maze by the Red Force in their "Overdose" MV and while they were trapped, they were captured and moved to the lab in "Lucky One" and after escaping in "Lucky One" we see them detoxing in "Ko Ko Bop." However, since then, we now have more information after EXO's "Obsession" MV part of the story was released. In "Obsession" we have discovered that the Red Force has created X-EXO clones. So, some theories now think that instead of "Ko Ko Bop" being about the EXO members, it might be showing us X-EXO. In "Obsession," the members in the bright colors with the crazy hair and makeup were the X-EXO clones and the members in the all-black outfits were EXO. Therefore, now some theories think that maybe because "Ko Ko Bop" is so colorful, that it is showing us X-EXO right after they were brought to life, and this is their first time out in the world. So, X-EXO are playing with their powers and trying to figure out how they work, and they are getting acclimated to their environment, etc. But, as you can see, to make it even more difficult to follow the story, nothing is in chronological order. As fans we have to become detectives and analyze everything that EXO does in order to try and figure out where each piece fits within the larger storyline. Although, at this point, it's only theories and educated guesses. With every new release from EXO it adds another piece to their story. Sometimes that new piece helps to confirm what we thought was happening and other times it turns everything on its head and we realize that what we thought was happening wasn't even close. We can only hope that someday SM will finally explain everything, so we will know whether what we have been thinking all along is correct.

Fun fact: If you notice, during "White Noise" Suho was center stage. They focused on Suho because he used his superpower, which is the ability to control water, to, as you saw, make it rain on stage. Water plays an important role with EXO, and especially during this world tour, because they built a whole section of the stage that has a giant rain machine and a moat so they wanted to get a lot of use out of it. They might not have gotten wet during this performance, but they did get wet in several other stages during this concert/tour, especially Kai, Lay and Sehun -- the main dancers -- who had solo dances in the water, as well. Water also plays an important role in everything EXO does because that is where Suho gets his strength from. So, right before it starts raining you see Suho raise his hand above his head, which is supposed to be him controlling the rain. Then a minute later, during the same song, when the rain turns off, you see the camera focus on Baekhyun and he raises his hand in the air and the lights turn off and a spotlight shines on him. Baekhyun has the power to control light, so he is the one to control the lights. And during "Thunder" the first person they focus on is Chen because he has the power of thunder, so he is the one to control the thunder during that song, and where there is thunder that means there is lightning as well. At one point during "Thunder" you also see Chen spin around with his hands out to his sides and then there is a large streak of lightning behind him and a big thunderclap sound, which is supposed to be him summoning the lightning and thunder. Therefore, Chen has the power of thunder and lighting and because of that he also can control electricity. EXO's "Playboy" was one of numerous songs that was written and co-composed by Jonghyun, SHINee's main vocalist. If you know Jonghyun's R&B style and sound you will probably be able to hear him in this song. This is such a Jonghyun song. If you ever want to hear what the song originally sounded like, you should look up Jonghyun singing it, th-cam.com/video/GBe6kCMBQeU/w-d-xo.html. Jonghyun's version of "Playboy" has even more of that smooth R&B style and sound. Jonghyun is considered one of the absolute best singers in all of Kpop who was actually a vocal coach and mentor to several of the EXO members when they were trainees. He was really a master when it came to creating music and he was one of the very first Idols to be known for his songwriting and composing skills. As you can see, everything EXO does has something to do with their origin story and their powers. You will see in future performances other examples of the members using their powers as well. For example, when there is fire elements you will see them focus on Chanyeol because he controls fire and when they sing about snow or winter you will see Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost, when Sehun dances there are often things that show him creating a windstorm or controlling the wind, etc. Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline including their live performances and even some of their choreography. You will see Lay and Kai -- and usually also Sehun -- dancing together in most of the dance break sections of EXO's concerts because they are the main dancers of their respective sub-units and they were meant to mirror each other in their roles in their groups. As you can see, Lay is known for being just as sexy, if not more so, than Kai when it comes to his dancing and onstage personality. If you think Kai is too much to handle, Lay can send viewers into cardiac arrest when watch some of his live solo performances. LOL Kai has a more subtle, innocent sexuality, where Lay knows exactly what he is doing and he intentionally turns the sex appeal up to 1,000 with a smirk on his face. (I mean the boy has a song called "Lay you down.") What you just witnessed was the sexy set of EXO's concert, all the songs and this whole performance is supposed to be super sexy and sensual.

If you like EXO's version of "The Eve," you should hear the English version of the song. "The Eve" was co-wrote and composed by Henry Lau from Super Junior-M and he sings a short demo version of the song in English. There is a clip of Henry in the recording studio singing the song you should see. Henry is the youngest member of Super Junior -- which is an SM Entertainment group, who are seniors to EXO -- and he is considered a music genius. The English version is less than 2 minutes long, but once you hear it you will understand why the choreo for this song was designed the way it is. (For example, I'm pretty sure the move where they cross their arms above their head is supposed to look like their wrists have been tied up. Yes, the undertone of the song is all about sexual innuendo. LOL) Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian, so his first language is English. He recorded a demo of the song so everyone can hear the English lyrics that he wrote and get a feel for the original style of the song. But unfortunately, SM never had Henry record the full English version, which most listeners will agree is a shame, because Henry's vocals and the English lyrics would have made this song an even bigger hit than it already is. As you may have noticed, there is no MV for "The Eve" because it's a B-side track. After seeing the choreography, it would be pretty hard to imagine this song having an MV that would be acceptable for mainstream Korean audiences. LOL What kind of story do you think they would be telling in the MV while dancing like this? If you really want to see how to do the moves in "The Eve" choreography, check out episode 7 of the reality TV show The Devil Wears Jung Nam, where Kai (the guy in the blue shirt) -- EXO's main dancer and considered one of the top dancers in the Kpop industry -- teaches his boss, actor and fashion consultant Bae Jung Nam, the dance for "The Eve."

Taylor really did an amazing job on this guide. However, she mainly focuses on the positive sides of BTS and unfortunately there's quite a dark side to the story as well and that part is very important to understand the unique bonds between BTS and ARMY as well as between the members. For that part you'll need to watch xCeleste's video BTS Hardships 2013-2021. Love your energy. 💜 Borahae 💜

You missed the last song. They did an encore. Also Mingi released a solo song recently where he sings.

and there are multiple solo fancams of each member for every corner and every stop of the tour available on youtube if you’re interested in checking them out on your own time 😘 amazing reaction as always! personally i prefer the playboy set from exoluxion (exo planet 2), their past tour before this, because they were more playful and touchy ESPECIALLY baekhyun and kyungsoo / chen and chanyeol (their dallas performance was 😧😧🚨🚨)

Yes, Baekhyun said he wanted this to have a Michael Jackson vibe. He has been influenced by MJ. Also, as others have said he is doing his Asia tour right now. His encore concert in Seoul will be July 26,27 (I think) and one of those days will be live streamed. Definitely worth the money!
