The Hidden Risks of Combining Multiple Training Goals #biomechanics #bodybuilding
This video explores the hidden risks of combining multiple training goals, such as building muscle and improving sports performance, and how it can lead to injuries if not handled properly. Learn why different goals, like hypertrophy training and sports-specific performance (tennis, basketball, pickleball), can sometimes contradict each other and how to avoid common pitfalls.
We'll dive into the science behind muscle stiffness after hypertrophy workouts, the differences between fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibers, and why balancing strength training with agility and endurance requires careful planning. Discover how the BRIG20 system optimizes exercise efficiency, allowing you to pursue multiple goals simultaneously without risking injury.
If you're looking to build muscle, boost athletic performance, and improve flexibility and mobility, this video has the insights you need.

      @Gianluca33672 it's safer to keep shoulders locked back throughout the motion and focusing on the elongation and shortening in a controlled manner.

    But, but... You can be bigger only when you become stronger! If you stuck at 100lbs bench press and try to train to failure or add volume, you won't look like another man who exercises with 150lbs!

    • @SmartTraining365Biomechanics
      @SmartTraining365Biomechanics 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @blackgoatmetal there are many people who are not big but can lift heavier weights than people who are more muscular than them. Lifting the heaviest weight is a different goal than hypertrophy, one requires sets of 20 to let's say 8, the other is sets of 4 to even 1 rep. Other factors are involved as well like, muscle stimulation, time under tensions, frequency, volume, recovery, nutrition ...

    • @blackgoatmetal
      @blackgoatmetal 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@SmartTraining365Biomechanics yes I know, but my example illustrates a situation when one lifter hits a plateau on a really small weight, but the other stuck on a more heavy weight. The potential of the first lifter is quite small, comparing to the other. As for me, I stuck on 175lbs in bench for 3 sets of 6 reps and can't progress for about a couple of months. This doesn't mean I can't build muscle because I still progress in Flyes, but my potential is smaller than in those athletes who bench 200lbs. They look also bigger.

    do overhead triceps extensions as your main tricep exercise for 3 months then do triceps push down as the main exercise for 3 months there'll be no visible difference in development if you train both equally hard, it's such a minute thing to focus on

    I incorporated sissy squats back into my leg training yesterday and just with bodyweight alone and nailing in the form...I never felt my quads work so hard with that deep tension as the sissy squat. Now I did do back squats...as I still love squats..especially from coming from football background. But I'm not going real heavy as before. But doing the sissy squat as my second quad movement...it felt 2-3 times harder than any squat I did..just in terms of quad load. Now...if one doesn't have access to do the pendulum sissy squat..if you hold a weight plate on your chest/ and area..is that efficient for increasing the resistance?

    • @SmartTraining365Biomechanics
      @SmartTraining365Biomechanics 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, that's an option, you can also use a weighted vest if you have one. Another option is, you can hold on to a bar at about your sternum level, straight arm and do body weight Sissy Squat leading with your knees forward.

    • @SmartTraining365Biomechanics
      @SmartTraining365Biomechanics 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @glennmerlini2895 it depends what wasting time means, but the goal is to optimally stimulate the targeted muscle with minimum WASTED EFFORT. If they used a combination of efficient and inefficient exercises, they will achieve great results because the inefficient exercises won't cancel the benefit of the efficient one, what we were talking about is that you can achieve the same results using only the best exercises and eliminate the wasted time, effort and higher injury risk of the inefficient exercises.
