I fixed my stihl weed eater today with it.. it would only run if you held the throttle and would not idle at all on is own..I added some mib into the gas and let it run about 20 minutes and I can't believe it but it did work and idles great now.. it made me a believer

Nice that you got it running after getting it for free from the neighbor. There were some helpful things to see in this video. I have a BR600 (since new) and it is ready for some attention, it has never been cleaned or serviced in any way beyond air filter, plug and primer bulbs. I picked up a new carburetor just to have one on the shelf for backup and I also have a new coil (that I need to get installed) and a spare starter pull rope assembly. I took a look at this video you put up from the way you titled it, hoping to get a look at various things that would be involved with rehabbing a junker. I had particular interest in some things related to the gas tank. You left quite a few things out in this video. However way you managed some of the stuff, it worked out for you, but you didn't show it in this video. Thanks for what you did show.

I had engines that would not start after adding MIB, but after taking the carb apart they are perfectly clean. Inspecting the carb diaphragms they were very brittle so probably wouldn't start anyway. I run MIB in all my fuel just to keep them clean.

Yesterday I repaired saw (M18 FSX) that I bought for $1. The machine was dead and the diode did not light up when I connected the battery. I didn't believe that the light emitting diode had anything to do with the operation of the machine? The red wire from the LED was broken, and the white one had damaged insulation. I fixed the problem and the saw works like new. Maybe someone else has similar malfunction symptoms and maybe my experience will help someone? Greetings from Switzerland

Trying to buy a new deck for a L111 is almost $600. Good luck trying to salvage for a good used one. I'm sure they're out there.

Milwaukee - Not really build to last. Longest lasting tools are corded Bosch and Makita Tools. Very well designed and well made and repairable too. They take serious abuse before failing, never seen a brand last so long with daily use. Problem with Milwaukee is they are all made in china, cheap components, cheap bearings. They also haven't figured some tools out like Bosch or Makita demolition hammers or hammer drills. The Bosch or Makita will last longer and work better. Also Milwaukee really doesn't like to sell you spare parts, they often group parts into assemblies that make the repair not economically viable. Cordless tools are always more prone to failure due to more electronics and the brushed cordless tools always fail first because either someone will burn the motor out or the brushes wear away, its easier to cook a brushed motor than a brushless one so I always get the brushless tool.

Dude said cutting deck is “too far gone” 😂 Shoulda figured that out the second you saw the big gaping holes in it. Yet you still wanted to power wash it. Have fun buying a new cutting deck for $600.

The bearing should be put in the opposite direction and there are spring washers should go where the big flat washer are located.

Wash in straight lines my guy. When you wash in circles, over time those micro scratches add up and become swirls but its harder to see straight line scratches when the light hit it. So in theory, the chance of micro scratches will always be there but circle motion scratches you will be able to see alot easier

oh gosh that deck is pretty bad but my john deere l130 i picked up for free the DECK WAS FALLING off because it rotted WAYY to much.

The deck looks to me like a great welding project.

I have a frequent need to drag or tow something around my property. I have a zero turn, but I don't really like using it for that. If I came across this, I'd keep it as a tow vehicle.

I would find another deck.

The base material, the crack needs to be at melting temp simultaneously with the filler material. Get the crack melted first and then start smashing in the filler. just laying the filler over the crack and smashing it in will get no penetration. Honestly I wouldn't even try to fix that with plastic weld. Sheet metal and pop rivet a patch on it.

Perhaps because I watch numerous 3D printing videos but this was recommended to me. After watching it I can agree with the others, you NEED a support structure because the vibrations and forces will separate the plastic and the melted plastic used to repair it. I recommend a "Hot-Stapler" to repair and hold the cracks together. Essentially, it heats a piece of metal that acts as a staple to the two sections of plastic, which the plastic melts around. Then you can patch over it with this device from HF if you wish.

Those plastic welding kits usually come with staples that melt into the plastic across the crack. The plastic filler by itsef isn't going to hold anything.

Inbiggen™(Widen) the crack before you try to introduce filler material. Follow some of the techniques used in metal welding since you are welding the plastic, they carry over. Welding a butt joint rarely allows for good penetration but, if you champher the 2 pieces first, the filler material can "flow" into the space you've created. Very well done video for what looks like a smaller channel. Good luck in your YT journey. Was really surprised to see a plastic deck on something Honda put's out. Generally trust Honda but, I wouldn't have a metal blade rotating at that speed behind a plastic shroud in any situation.

Can you get the base plastic too also melt to potentially bond better with the plastic strips?

I might try some wire mesh and JB weld from the inside of the deck. I think you need some sort of reinforcing and the melted plastic or JB weld holds the reinforcing to the deck to make it stronger. It will still have a crack but might have structural integrity capable of mowing.

Usually those carbs have a plastic cap sealing in that adjustment. Fortunately your new one didn't have one installed.

Mixed results for me. Sometimes it corrects the problem. Sometimes it does not. Pulling and cleaning the carb always fixes the problem and I can complete that in 30 minutes!
