Thranduil is the 3rd age equivalent of the mighty Thingol
Sauron could not detect someone putting on the Ring. That was an invention of Peter Jackson's movie, not part of Tolkien's original novel. The only time Sauron detected Frodo (or anyone else) wearing the Ring was when he declared that it was his in the heart of Sauron's kingdom. Also, the Ring doesn't protect its bearer. Its only motivation is to get back to Sauron.
You have some of the best art I’ve ever seen in this video. I would love to know your source.
W.O.W.
Hear me out. Orc farmers.
Voldemort and Harry Potter☝🏾
The common enemy aspect is SO interesting maybe Men Elves and Dwarves would never have cooperated without this threat... Wow
Also I'm like Bros you can't just burn and kill you have to plant a plant once in a while, even if you don't eat vegetables the animals that you do eat eat them: a Circle of Life not a straight line 🤦🏾♂️
The one ring was also forged in the second age
The downfall of Numenor happened in the second age
How many times did Gandalf discovered Sauron in Dol Goldur and ushered him from there?
This would sound a lot better if you used English accent ai
Live the visuals! Keep up the good work 👍
The so-called narration is total dogshit but the artwork is absolutely amazing.
Love this !
You just described the Russian army perfectly 😂😂😂
I have never heard so many mispronunciations in so short a time before.
Sad that people can’t buy a $5 mic and just narrate their videos. The text to speech on these videos is atrocious. It’s impossible to listen to.
There's way too much redundancy in this narration. How many different ways can you tell us that orcs are complex beings operating on fear? And the narrator voice has some weird pronunciation suggesting an AI voice. Cool video but kinda lame.
Ai can't pronounce words right
Re: depictions of orcs. There is far too much of the porcine here and not enough of the hominid. Orcs were originally made by Morgoth in the First Age from corrupted elves (who are genetically compatible with mankind). In appearance, they would look more like simian-like men; closer to gorillas or chimpanzees, but with clearly hominid bipedalism, height and digital dexterity. We learn from LTOR that orc could be bred with humans to make half-orcs and goblin-men.
I appreciate this video, the stuff it points out, and some of the questions it asks. This was one of the best things I liked about the Mordor games. A few 'facts' are incorrect however. For instance, the orcs didn't fight 'to the last' at the Black Gate. When Sauron was defeated, a lot did fight and die, but a lot died instantly when chasms opened open, and a whole bunch fled in terror. Orcs were still being hunted down years later. There is no real mention of rituals in the actual books, though they do mention 'worship' a lot, and they certainly show reverance to important emblems, like the Red Eye, or the White Hand.
Finally a video about orcs point of view..... we need more videos of orcs.
I've read that Tolkien wasn't satisfied with his explanation of the origin of orcs. He started to rewrite it and give them a different history but that was not completed.
great video. But sometimes the pronunciation is kinda off
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’ll definitely work on improving the pronunciation in future videos.
@@Middle-EarthLore It's AI bro, use a real voice.
@@Middle-EarthLore With AI voices, try to spell the 'made up' words (like names) phonetically, rather than their actual spelling. It usually works better because the algorithm wont have been trained on these words before.
The Orcs only fought at the Battle of the Black Gate until the ring was destroyed and Sauron's will upon them was broken: 'The Orcs and other creatures of Sauron were completely directionless with the Dark Lord's demise and fled mindlessly; some falling into pits, others outright killing themselves, and many fleeing. Many Easterlings and Haradrim fled as well or surrendered, though others banded together in their hatred and fought on stalwartly.[6]' - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, "The Field of Cormallen".
Make Orks great again !
That's right.. stand againts orc hate.. and orc lives matter...
Sarooman 😭
They need their own movie asap
It's too bad we were never given any information about orcs' family lives. There must have been such, even if it was nothing but harems for the chief orcs. Someone had to care for and protect the young until they were big enough to fend for themselves.
Absolutely, it's a fascinating topic! While Tolkien didn't delve deeply into the family structures of orcs in his works, it's logical to assume that they had some form of societal organization, including family units. Orcs, like any other beings, would need to reproduce and care for their young to sustain their populations. It's plausible that orcish societies could have included harems or other communal child-rearing practices, especially considering their hierarchical and warlike nature.
I always hoped they’d find some old letter of his that describes orcs and their lives
