Pretty much anything I’ve tried. Those new aqua a1 jconcepts should be good, s3 convict/slide lock/blockade, aka impact slw, reflex a2 (still too soft), right now I’m running some rock hard medium long wear vp pro turbo trax which feel like there’s no way they should work but there is a lot of grip and it’s hot right now so surprisingly they’re really good. The surface grooves up so if you’re running too soft of a tire you’ll eat through them in no time and the car will feel kind of weird. In this video I ran kosmos a2 because they were on clearance. They lasted like 4-5 battery packs is all.

I appreciate the compliment! I agree, when making this I would film a scene, review it, and be surprised with how good it looked. It was very rewarding and fun terrain to drive on especially that rutted out mud hole. The p415 is a beautiful design and the most detailed r/c I’ve ever seen. However yes it does struggle in some areas but I think it can all be contributed to one thing: it’s weight. It weighs so much it’s hard to find a suspension shock that works as it should. The electronics also suffered from the weight. It would over heat, lose power, & turn off. Although, the weight was part of what made it fun, a normal scale rig wouldn’t have sank in that mud to form those deep tracks, and it felt more realistic driving. Anyways, yes it could use some improvements. I decided to sell mine and get more into rc buggy racing.

@@D1Rk379 I agree, it really looked great in those muddy ruts! HG is a strange company. On the one hand it has the high spec 8x8 trucks and missile launcher trailers that have amazing design and detailing but then on the other hand it has the Tamiya clones. So it is hard to know if they are a good designer of RC vehicles in their own right or not. I have a P417 High Lift clone and it has issues as you might expect but I have considered buying one of their top of the range products too so your comments are interesting (sort of what I had expected but still a little disappointing to hear at that price level). Have you seen that HG has a new P411 crawler? It will be interesting to see what people think of that as it is quite an expensive truck.

They're pricey, I no longer have them but I got them at a discount. They're $800+/- retail. Haven't checked in a while but asiatees.com was the cheapest place.

So you sold the hummer? If you don't mind me asking, why? Trying to decide on purchasing this.

@@ET-dg3ud I did, I've been selling scale stuff. I've been low on $ and more into 1/8 buggy racing so the funds have been going that way. If you plan to get real serious with it the motor/esc/servo's could be upgraded but for stock it did pretty good. Occasionally it would over heat but only in slow/hot temps. Others upgraded the motor and had improvements with that. If you want an awesome scale rig and don't care so much about performance it's fun. But keep in mind it is scale so ground clearance/crawling is limited and it's 15-16lbs.

Hi Brenton, I did not sand them. I sprayed a self etching primer, then flat black. However, the paint chips off when the wheel hits rocks. I occasionally touch them up with a paint brush.

I am not 100% sure, I think closer to 2.2, may be their own measurement. 1.7 wheels look best on it. For replacement tires people use 1.9 on the stock wheels.

Yes same part just the snorkel extension is different

It comes with a connector that goes to power and the RX so you can turn it on/off with the remote.

@@D1Rk379 Thank you, winch hooked up, but not sure which socket on RX for light bar plug.

@@beyond1957 oh sweet you have one too! If you message me on ig @rc_dirk i can send you pictures. The light bar plugs into a dongle which gets power from the deans connector at the battery plug in. From that dongle a separate black and white cable plugs in and goes to rx. Do you have the manuals?

@@D1Rk379 Thank you for your help, I have all connected with exception of red jst from I think the dongle that connects to power source. Is the connector from.power source in situ? Now checking manual diagram.

It seems a lot of people have them, this is the first I've heard of someone having lots of problems with it. Mine's been fairly trouble free and continues to just motor on.

@@D1Rk379 esc burt out, several servos died, motor burnt out, transfercase broke, driveshaft bent, differential broke and suspension damage

Hi Khalid, unfortunately my original red rear bumper showed up broken, about 1" in from the driver side it is cracked and almost completely seperated. I have it if you want it.

Really good! I made sure to sand down every surface I could get sand paper on and used a primer. Otherwise, I'm not sure the paint I used would have stuck very well because of the high gloss surface of the plastic.

What grit did you use, do you remember? And is the body painted or is it molded red?

@@tommynguyen5836 It is molded red, my windshield was glued in from glue running from the cab back. I ruined it trying to remove it. Careful with that. For sand paper I used 320, you could finish with 400, or just go light with 320 and you'll be okay.

Good observation, yes, I was going to import & sell some online for HG while I can't work from a traumatic brain injury but it turned out to be too big of a mess, so I sell the black one and keep red one :)
