One thing that made MAD better than SNL is MAD was not afraid to use dark humor in their sketches.

the talent on mad tv was totally insane and out of this world. not one show today comes close!!

RIP Quincy Jones. You definitely played a role in my upbringing from _The Wiz_ to _Fresh Prince_ to _MADtv_ to _Austin Powers_ (Soul Bossa Nova) not to mention taking MJ to great heights and creating magic from _those_ three timeless and iconic albums.

I remember loving this show more than SNL. And that theme slapped

The original cast was the best, although I really liked Spears, Kilbane and Sasso. Nicole Sullivan was so hot and teenage me was totally in love with her. I fell away from the show just after Sasso left, and had no idea Key & Peele were both cast members.

Season 4-5 was when the show was really cooking. The guard of from the first seasons (LaMarr, Sullivan, Wilson) mixed in with the fresh faces (Borstein, Collins, Kilbane, McDonald, Sasso, Spears) added a dynamic that never was topped.

We don't get good primetime tv like this anymore.. Thank God SNL still standing!

I love how the first intro hits you over the head with what this show is based on

To me both In Living Color and Mad TV were loads funnier and edgier than SNL and yet the front office at Fox somehow found a way to sabotage both shows. Absolutely unbelievable! It's a real shame because Mad TV could have run forever on Sat night just like SNL. Mad TV is a show that just screams to be revived in today's humorless and often very angry era. Taking a moment to laugh at ourselves as a society is just what we need.

the first season with no members from the original cast. debra wilson left after season 8 and she was the last remaining member of the oringinal mad tv cast when the show premiered in 1995 to be on the show.

Oh my god man. I was a kid in the 90s but I loved MAD TV

the first intro is hands down the best. I never noticed until watching them all that the mad magazine references slowly disappear with each season. Imagine being called madTV based off a magazine and stop making any references to it.
