the undeglow right under the dash what did you use?
I ordered a bunch of small 3/4" round LED side marker lights for a flatbed I was building from amazon. They came with the rubber grommet for mounting and they had multiple colors available. Drilled a small hole in the underside lip of the dash (there is one on the drivers side as well) and tapped into the dome light wire under the dash so they come on when the doors are open.
@ maybe a tutorial video?
Thanks for the video. I had taken mine apart a while ago and needed my memory jogged to get it back together.
Your welcome 👍. I've been there myself, glad the video helped
How did you do the aluminum pedals?
I had left over "tie down" rings that I used as the frame. I cut the aluminum diamond plate into an oversized circle and made small "v" cuts all the way around the out side of it. Then clamped it to the tie down ring and hammered the edge over curling it tight to the ring. Pried it back off then welded the ring to the pedal arm. Then cleaned and polished the aluminum and snapped it back on . So they are basically clamped to the ring by the hammered over edge. I hope that makes sense.
Sick table but damn dude you really had to put a wench in? Sheesh.
I had the same idea of the angled leg braces like a folding table. Yours is the only design I’ve seen using that concept. Kudos! I plan to hinge them like a folding table so the braces fold up on themselves. Will see how it works.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I don't remember if I said that in the video or not, that was my original plan as well but ended up just simplifying it with the angled braces. Mine has been a great addition to the shop. I hope it gave you some good info to apply to your build. Good luck with yours!
I wish we had a junkyard in the north east that had some old Ford trucks? I can't seam to find 1.
unfortunately I haven't seen one in the NW for a while. Had to start my own collection just to finish one truck... lol
Come down and visit us in Austin. Buy one and drive it back! Mike Finnegan did for his project truck.
I like it.

"Fantastic work! We tackled a similar project, albeit on a much smaller scale, and faced our own set of challenges, like not being able to fit a backhoe into a tight backyard. We dealt with unexpected hurdles-like our camera overheating every 10 minutes, delays in receiving supplies, and even a few mishaps with our footage. Despite ending the day with sore muscles and feeling a bit overheated, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a lot of hard work, but the results make it all worthwhile!"
Love this i did a inside 7 deep' dig this year.. 11 year old intex 18' ultra frame..
Nice I know it cost a pretty penny to do all of dat I wish I had da bread to hook my back yard up like dat 😭 but it looks real nice good job
@dbarrelbeatz2025 Thank You! I always try to look at it this way... In ground pools in my area start at 100K for the same size and this one with everything was 17K. So I saved at least 83K right? Kinda helps a little when thinking like that. Still sucks that everything is so dang expensive now days. Hope your able to do something for yourself soon, good luck!
you did an AMAZING JOB!!!
Thank you! We've had a blast with it so far! It's been a great place for friends and family to hang out.

My dude, what is that contraption?
It's a large workbench that folds up and stores away on the wall so when you don't need it, it's not taking up space in your garage or shop. it's also on casters so it can easily roll to wherever you need it. There are a number of videos on how to build one if you search "folding wall mounted workbench" you'll see a number of them. Here is a link to a more detailed video about mine. th-cam.com/video/HoFoGQ_3aDU/w-d-xo.html
Great work guys!
Thank you!
Beautiful job. No way you'll catch me digging that out by hand though. My Army days are long over😂
Thank you! yeah I wanted to rent a mini backhoe but nothing was available for months. So I didn't have much of a choice. I had already made up my mind that it was going to get done and not much stops me when I get in that mode. Not sure if I'll ever attempt that again! but makes for a great story now.
@@FoPar1969 Yes, it does and you have video proof. It turned out solid and beautiful. That's what matters.

Sort of unrelated, but did u track how much weight u lost while doing keto and digging?
At the peak of doing Keto and digging I was averaging a pound a day so I dropped 30 pounds in a month.
Holy JESUS! You have some easy soil to dig. I get about 10” down through the topsoil and it’s rock hard hard pan. I literally have to use a roto hammer with a spade to plant a tree or shrub in my soil. My soil breaks in shale like plates. Good job my friend.
Yeah we defiantly do no denying that. Thank you! I grew up in Western WA on glacier deposit and we couldn't put a shovel into the ground without hitting rocks so I'm very appreciative of the place we live now. I put up over 400' of privacy fence (52 fence post all dug by hand) It never would have been possible with soil like yours or like what I grew up on.

FYI: I just realized I didn't say anything in the video about making sure to weld the end of the round eye bolts. The ones I used needed the end of it welded to itself to complete the loop and in my first test I hadn't welded them and they started to bend and open up. Welding the end of the loop to itself fixed the issue.
My Late Dad taught me Why buy it if you can make it. I'm for sure going to make this stand. I got my shrinker/stretcher from Harbor Freight. The F-100 tailgate you made on the F.T.E. website was awesome.
@lilorbielilorbie2496 Thank you! I couldn't agree more, there is defiantly a "pride of accomplishment" when your able to pull it off and on the flip side bit of humble pie when you fail is realistically not a bad thing when you learn from it. Plans are in the works to building another "F100" tailgate in the future and I'll be sure to shoot video for the channel. A friend out of Spokane wants one for his truck so it will be fun to revisit that again. Thanks and good luck with building your stand.
@@FoPar1969 Thanks for showing us how to make one .I've been thinking about the different ways that I was gonna make mine.

@@FoPar1969 Thanks for the update. My Late Dad was a Union Pile Driver/Welder. When we were working together he gave me the best welding advice ever. He said always make sure that your weld is the very best that it can be because your life or someone else's life might depend on your weld holding.
Cleaning black stuff off of metal is about the easiest task these things can do. It looks like its taking a long time. Sandblasting is faster.
The laser excels at removing rust quickly, panted surfaces not as quick as sand blasting but the set up and clean up is far easier with the laser. I've sandblasted before and and yes you are correct removing paint is faster with a industrial sandblaster but unless it's in a blasting cabinet the media gets everywhere. Also the faster the sandblaster the more media you use up. The laser doesn't consume anything other than power and the occasional lens that are cheap and easy to replace. The better video for my example of easy clean up is this one th-cam.com/video/VFP_4KA9o5A/w-d-xo.html Cleaning the rust and paint off of a cab floor without all of the interior removed and no media to clean up afterward. Hope you have a great day!

Like your boxwood green steering wheel.
Are you in the U.S? Seems like most laser cleaners are in other countries. Wondering if there are any legal restrictions on laser cleaners in the U.S. Thanks.
yes I'm in the US, I have not come across any "restrictions" but I'm in the private sector of owner operator. If it was a place of business with employees then there are state requirements for class 4 lasers I would be required to follow. That falls more into same area as L&I for any business with any equipment that can cause physical harm. So this may be a bad example but it seems to be similar to a forklift at a place of business there are all kinds of restrictions and safety requirements but as soon as I buy one and use it at home nobody seems to care.
Depends on where they are used. There might be OSHA regulations.
How is the final texture of the metal once you're done with it compared to traditional methods?
It really depends on the type of metal and how far the rust has gone. Also if your cleaning off paint it tends to leave a little bit of a texture. For the most part it's just removing the surface that's not metal. When I've hit bare clean metal it doesn't really do anything. Unlike other methods they tend to remove some metal no matter what.
Is this a pulse laser
no, I bought a CW (continuous-wave laser)
How does it work on sheet metal I ordered one 3in1 just waiting for it. How many watts can go get it down on thin sheet metal?
Wish I had that to do my frame with…
@tonyowczarzak8893 Yeah I have several trucks to do so I figured this should speed up the frame cleaning. I'm going to advertise in my local area once I have a better feel for how it responds to different things. Maybe look around your area and see if someone else is offering it as a service. Good luck with your project!
Which laser machine are you using and what power setting (watts) did you use on such a wide beam?
Maxphotonics Co. MFSC 1000X-1500X(G5) CW Welding Fiber Laser Series. Mine is a 1000w machine and that's what I had it set at in the video. It's able to be set 300mm wide (11.811 inches) but that is also affected by how near or far away from the part you are. So sometimes it appears to be much wider.
Wait, that laser is coming from your eyes, right? Very cool
Yes of course, just practicing my Superman impression... :)
I like it. I wonder if a general cleaning with soap and hose or pressure wash in order to get rid of some of the grime would help. Im sure you want to do a test for how well it would do. I also wonder how long til the epa starts regulating these!!!
yeah the pressure washer works great, I pressure washed the engine bay, suspension, and frame awhile back and it knocks off the majority of grease buildup. That's made it real easy for the laser in those areas. I haven't made any video's of that part of it yet but your exactly right it helps a lot.
@@FoPar1969 I have seen a few demos of these lasers. I wonder how much of a power draw they are.
@@968porsche9 they require a 220 plug and mine is set at a 1000w for most everything I do. Supposedly they average out to about 6.6kwh. We pay about $0.09 per kwh here so about $0.60 per hour to run. (I have seen some sites saying they use 15kwh so if that's true it would be $1.35 per hour) but still hardly anything compared to the time and effort savings.
a winch? made of steel or something?
yep an electric steel winch, here is the link to the one I bought: www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb-capacity-120v-ac-electric-winch-61672.html Hope this helps.
