This crowd is DEAD, OMG ZERO noise out of them here. SAD, especially as good as this music is. These are classic songs VERY popular back then. Probably half this crowd ever heard these songs. You have to be around 55-60 years old to know these tunes when they came out in 1967. I was born in 1961 so I was 6 years old when the song was released. I remember it cause these songs probably still played on the radio some 2-3 years after its release maybe longer?

Went to a concert at the Mosque in Richmond Va. my guess maybe 1967 or 68 not sure i was 17 or eighteen...Buckinghams were playing with who I can't remember think they were the headliner...forget what their last song was the lead singer said to the crowd Richmond is kind of a drag...remember they didn't get the applause from the concert goers after their last set...this was a seated show want say what some of the comments back to them from some concert goers were...Buckinghams were a good group...remember a friends sister in High School her name was Susan...lol

Thanks for this, Carl . John was a big influence on my drumming...especially on "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" ! Enjoyed seeing you guys on tv back then. Uncle Sam interfered with my music aspirations, unfortunately, but I still have an original 1967 Ludwig set that keeps me company. Keep Rockin !

I go see the Buckinghams every chance I get. They always do a great job. I've seen Dennis Tufano once. He was great, but seemed to prefer doing Bobby Darin and other oldies over Buckinghams tunes.

Beautiful song that got my attention through regular airplay on the late, great KKSF San Francisco in 1993. I got the Red CD and went to see Kiki's show at Great American Music Hall around that time. Still a favorite!!

Carl and Nick have done such a good job maintaining the sound...so many of these older bands are not able to make it sound as close to the original and these guys have done that-even though Carl was originally the backing vocalist to Dennis Tufano who left pretty much at the peak of their run.
