Just found this eagle 7 in my dad's old possessions. It's a great little timepiece and to me has got very deep sentimental value. Thank you very much for making this video to tell about this watch. I had no idea about this. Except the fact that it had a 7 in the eagle.
Just watched your video of the casiotron,I bought a Casio in 1977 but not sure if it was the casiotron? I recently got an A171 because it reminded me more of the watch I got in 77, is my memory deceiving me is the A171 a re- release of a watch or would it have been the casiotron I originally bought back in 77, ? Would appreciate your opinion cheers 🍺
@@TheWatchCorner the watch I was talking about is the A171 I'm almost, well I'd have to say now convinced I've gotten it wrong and the watch I owned back in the day,got it in 1978 was in fact the casiotron, all info I can find on the A171 suggests it's first release is 2021, wish I had an original casiotron though that would be great 👌
Ive owned this watch for the past 25yrs, I had no idea I could hand wind it! I would jusy shake my hand about constantly, or go for a run😄. Thanks for the tip.
I was arguing with the video when you started talking, "no way that thing is an automatic @ that price"🤣 Didn't know that was even possible for that price. Thanks, happy Bday brotha
@@TheWatchCorner You gotta complete the set! The one you have is so cool though. The early one with one button. On the original bracelet and everything.
Great review - I bought this same watch when it was new in the late 90s when I graduated high school :) Just pulled it out of storage and came across your video when I was searching the internet. I plan on updating the capacitor and starting to wear this again soon.
Based on reviews and the specs on their website, I bought a Boldr Voyage Antartica with the NH38 guts. Big mistake! The damn thing stops and/or slows down randomly. For example, last night overnight it lost about 45 minutes despite having been worn all the day, i.e. it should have been fully wound up with its 41 hr power reserve. It has done this before. The “helpful” idiot at Boldr sent me instructions on how to wind the watch, ffs! Firstly, I know how to wind a watch, but secondly, it’s automatic and I shouldn’t have to wind it when it is worn consistently. When it has run “properly” it runs fast. I suppose it is within the loosey-goosey specs that Seiko puts on their out of the box movements, but has Boldr ever heard of the idea of regulating a watch before selling it? Bottom line, they ask a lot of money for an unreliable POS, and their customer service and warranty is lame, to say the least!
Greetings from The Netherlands. Thank you Swatch Group. I just bought the white dial variant of your watch, with gold trim on a crocesque, (I'm not sure if that's a real word. If it's not, it should be one) calf's leather strap. I bought it brand new for 440 Euros from an Ebay trader in Germany. I usually wear my faithful: Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Auto 42mm. I love my Hammy. My new Certina DS-8 Moon phase Chronograph, is an absolute stunner. It's going to be worn a lot. 😀

I’ve had the Invicta Bolt for a few years, just got the Bulova 98B316. Love my Invicta but digging the Bulova more.
Thanks for the tip on not letting the capacitor go down to zero. Just got an eco-drive, but may get this in the gold.
How or where to buy one?
Custom..1 of 1.
Seiko Lumibrithe is the best lume on the world 😉
My dad gave me this watch many years ago. Can I throw a nato strap on it? What size nato strap would I use?
Not with the lug system won't work.

Wonderful that the display is nice and vivid after all these years. Just heard that an updated version is going to be reissued in 2024.
Yes indeed a Minty example
