Look how clean this town is no rubbish what so ever nice and tidy and no beggars or homless people around only if every town was like this the world would look so much more better

At the moment i live in handsworth and there is rubbish down every street you go down and flytipping rubbish outside people's house and lots of druggies around so im looking forward too moveing over there soon looks much more cleaner then handsworth

There was a cinema in Birmingham near the Rotunda. My aunty took me and my sister to watch the care bear movie. I wasn't impressed but my sister loved it so it was cool. I used to love getting the bus into the city then a bus to my nans in nechells. Good times

This is one of my favourite videos I must have seen this now six times because it goes past my old school which no longer there now it's gone because the bus travels the same route that we used to catch the coach to go to school skilts Gorcott Hill

I used to go on this bus when I was a young man in the 1980s watch an enjoyable ride which brought back some memories for me especially Birmingham that has changed through the years I no longer living Birmingham anymore but London

Think the driver got the number wrong cause the 11A is for Acocks green and the 11 is for Walsall/wolverhampton

city centre was a dilapidated mess. Its not perfect now but its so much better than then. it was awful. Anyone who thinks differently is just being nostalgic.

Love how people blame other s for the degradation of their cities. Wake up people... THIS IS ALL TO DO WITH GOVERNMENT POLICIES that have lead to moral and social degradation of this country. I think road humps should be right next to the schools where be safe for them and the car to slow down I don't think there should be on every road that you see I would prefer them to be next to schools or hospital

Everyone in the comments are honestly complete idiots when they’re saying things like “much better times” and “things were so much better back then”. This was 1987. During this time the crime rate, gun crime and every other statistic was way higher than it is right now. Everyone’s crying about Birmingham now but back in the 90s and 80s it was 10x worse. Stop crying and pretending to be a victim, if anything Birmingham has gotten better

just curious because I do similar videos. do you ask the driver of the bus to put the camera with them in the cockpit. or do you drive the buses?. because the 54 is always a single decker bus.

Thanks for posting. The ring roads haven't changed much. I worked on the city centre pedestrianisation scheme back in 91/92 and remember the buses in New Street. Much better nowadays of course. Would have been good to see Villa Park.

Thank you for sharing this enjoyable video! I was a resident student at Woodbrooke College at 1046 Bristol Road in Selly Oak 1986/1987 - it was a great time. Selly Oak and Bournville were wonderful places. Since then most of the college life in Selly Oak has closed down.

Moved to Wombourne in 1991 and often Cycked from Wombourne to Bridgnorth for a day out. 24 mile round trip. 1991 - 2011, been on Bus since but long day Wombourne to Wolverhampton then to Bridgnorth. Pity no bus Wombourne to Bridgnorth. On bike joined this at Island before Hilton
