My Favorite Zoli: Z-Sport XL Evo Light Barrels
The unboxing of my favorite build by Zoli.
The Zoli XL Evo allows the shooter to dial the feeling of the gun even more by simply swapping the receiver plates between 2 sizes.
With the light weight barrel option, the increase in weight on the receiver is even more noticeable.

It is no surprise that I am a big fan of Rizzini. The BR460 is one to pay attention to. Coming in below all its competitors as far as price and with a boss style action, detachable triggers and multiple variations to suit all shooting styles, this shotgun deserves at least to be checked put when deciding on your next gun. #clayshooting #beretta #berettashotguns #colegunsmithing #shotgun #shotgu...

Should use a microphone, not the camera’s.
what shotguns would best fit someone over 6’0 I’m 6’3 are there specific guns that might be fit more towards taller people or would I have to get a custom stock?
Nothing off the shelf will work for you without adjustments. Zolis and BR460s are bigger feeling guns along with Perazzis. So would make a better option for someone tall
Now show how to remove then ejectors. Beretta ejectors are straight forward, I cannot figure out how to remove Rizzini ejectors
If you were in the market for a higher end gun and we’re considering DT11, ZSport, Br460, and F3, which do you prefer?
The one that feels the best to you
I have owned several trap guns, many of them Berettas. Then I bought a Zoli Kronos simply because it reminded me of a Perazzi. Finally I bought an MX2000 and I can say that the Perazzi is another world.
This gun is gorgeous and I’m sure the craftsmanship is top notch, but I’m still disappointed in Zoli as a company for their preferred marketing strategy of straight up lying to customers. Actually, I’m disappointed in them *because* their guns are clearly so well-made and they still lie to their customers. You can see what I’m talking about at 5:32 in The Clay Lab’s recent video where Paolo Zoli sits down and talks with Rich Cole. Not once in my life have I seen a gun that needed its mainsprings lubed. Even if there are, this reeks of advertising BS. The same way Zoli advertises their guns as featuring a Boss-style lockup, except they have nothing even close to resembling the bifurcated lumps on the side of the monoblock/receiver that you see on any Perazzi, or, you know, an actual Boss gun. Shame on Zoli’s marketing separtment, and shame on Paolo Zoli for doubling down on it in his interview with Rich Cole. Their craftsmanship looks amazing, and I’ll never understand why they feel like they need to go out and actively ruin the good reputation they’ve built by blatantly spouting technobabble BS to their customers.
I can see that you are frustrated and perhaps you misunderstood what Paolo said. The coating on the mainspring is a self lubricating coating, it does not mean that it is oiled or that you can feel greasy to the touch, what can happen to metal parts is rust when left not cleaned and serviced. The coating helps protect the metal, the same with the titanium coated parts. The locking system is a boss style locking bolt. It is NOT a boss action, only locking bolt. Im very picky when it comes to the words used by manufacturers when they try and push a product to the public. In this case i truly think you misunderstood what they were saying. As far as marketing goes, i had a very honest conversation with Paolo, asking him why doesn’t Zoli spend any money on marketing materials like the big companies do in order to bring this amazing product in front of more people. His answer was very simple: “my guns will sell through word of mouth “. That to me showed confidence and appreciation in his own product.
Great video! 🙌🏽
Great review. I got to handle a 110 and was very impressed with it, great trigger pulls right out of the box. Looking forward to your review of the new Beretta 688.
Well done
Great vid
Informative videos once again. Thanks
Very in depth and great video ! Yea , no way I could not subscribe . Loved it !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Considering that the BR460 is a more affordable, yet Italian made, Boss than a Perazzi, I think BR460 vs Yildiz Pro would be an interesting comparison.
Love the videos! Are we going to start seeing some field shots at Gulf Coast Clays soon?
You can’t just make the grip fit you. The grip is the most importance for fitment. If it’s to big you can’t control to small it will never feel right. Get a good brand and get the one that fits best……..!!!
I disagree
Use to shoot Browning GTS then got the 725. Sold and got the 690 Black and absolutely love the Beretta. Was shooting little low and thought about making the stock adjustable. But fitted the Beretta Gel Pad and its spot on.
Nice detail and info.
Another extremely well done video. Excellent advice. Thank you.
Like your videos. Keep up the good work and Thanks. My next shotgun just might be the Cole special.
Thank you for watching
You do the best reviews on YT
Thanks for watching
Rizzini for me. I love owning an affordable [just] niche gun that is made by a "Family" business and feels special.
Very informative and professional video! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Next video Zoli vs Rizzini br460?
Interesting. How does a zoli compare, with its added action weights?
Great video as always. In my humble opinion, a parameter not to be underestimated when buying a shotgun is its marketability in the used market, referring to the country in which you live obviously. In Italy, for example, home of the best shotguns, the trap shooting market is dominated by only two brands: Beretta and Perazzi. Everything else has absolutely no market.
Bravo Pedro
Excellent video, you go Pedro! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
682 gold x trap
I never expected my request for the Dt 11 vs br 460 to be filled so quick. I have small hands and short fingers so I guess the 460 is out, I can just reach the trigger on my 682 x trap with it in the rear most position.
So get the stock shortened. Problem solved.
The grip is the problem
😂 i have a long list of videos to do and you reminded me of a very important one.
Excellent analysis of barrel weight and balance demonstration that is the heart of handling control.
Thank you for watching
Great information! I'm pretty sure Zoli is going to be my next clays gun. I would love to see this same video done with 2 mid rib guns.
Added to the list
Great video. I have question - I have 694. In the shop they told me that when I travel with the gun in the case, it is better to release the locking - by pressing the small pin on the action. The lever then stays in the middle instead of being far to the right. So I did it, but of course when I arrived at the shooting range, I forgot to open the locking and I inserted the barrels (in fact in locked action) and I locked...the gun seems to be OK, but did I damage something? Thanks for your opinion.
Its hard to say, unless we inspect it. If the gun locks correctly and theres no visible damage, i would its good to go but you gotta be careful because otherwise could cause damage
This was very informative, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Any chance of a video on how to correctly remove the ejectors & firing pins, please?
Already in the list. Coming soon
Great video! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Top!
Not unlike a K80 look.
Sweet !!! Perazzi's sporters from early 1990's had this barrel option. Zoli makes a high quality gun for sure. Excellent video !!
First comment, first like 😂
Curious the weight difference from side plate to the high tech. I like the idea of spreading that weight out between the hands
Greetings from the UK . Thank you that was excellent .
Glad you enjoyed it
Do you have any information on the different generations of the DT11? 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen... I have heard that the earlier versions had heavier barrels that the current ones. When did Beretta change the barrel weight, and how much did they change? My 30" DT11 sporting proof marked in 2014 has 1530g barrels, and the complete gun weighs 8 pounds 13 oz (4 kg). It would be interesting if other DT11 owners would post their length and weight (of the barrels and complete gun) and what year it was proof marked.
Im not sure what year they started changing the barrel weights. But most 32” now have a barrel weight of 1520-1550. They also changed the angle of the locking bolt by 2 degrees.
Great video! I would have liked to hear about Perazzi trap gun configurations. For example, I recently noticed that there are different types of Monte Carlo comb stocks and different ribs heights - adjustable and non-adjustable. Example: One top single combo I looked at recently had a mid-height (?mm) non-adjustable rib and a high trap-style Monte Carlo adjustable comb stock. The factory POI setting is 80/20 with that configuration. Upon mounting this gun, the LOP was perfect for me, and upon sighting down the rib, the beads stacked perfectly = “snowman.” The balance of the gun felt great. So my questions are these: Since the factory POI is 80/20, the rib is non-adjustable, and the Monte Carlo rib is at its lowest adjustment, does that mean that this gun cannot be adjusted to change the POI to something like 60/40, 65/35 in order to shoot, for example, wobble trap where the birds sometimes come out of the house just above ground level where 80/20 POI would shoot over the top? Just aim at the dirt under the bird? 😂 The Perazzi trap guns a couple of my shooting buddies have are quite different from the one I have described here. One has a full length high-rib gun, and another has a gun with the high rib that starts half way to the muzzle. Since I have seen three different types of Perazzi trap guns, I’d like to hear what you have to say specific to trap guns. Again, I enjoyed your informative video! I am new to Perazzi, so all the information I can get, the more helpful for me in my search for my next gun.
The videos are great. 👍👍 Would love to see an entry level competition sporting clay comparisons video. Blaser F16 Pro, Beretta 694, Rizzini BR460, etc.
There was no question for me. I wanted a dt11. I got a 694. Dt11 starts around $14k in Canada. Way out of my price range. Having shot both I'm happy with my 694
