Lovely piece, very well played. Nice sounding mandolin. What plectrum are you using? Is the ‘pad’ on your lap an item that is specifically purchased to aid the holding of bowl back mandolins, or is it something you have adapted for the use?

Thanks for your video! Just discovered this because I have made a new video of "June Nights" from this book!

I had always heard this in the usual ways; cello, piano, and guitar. But one day I was watching The Masters and during one of the “commercials”, there was music playing over it that sounded familiar and I realized it was the famous cello suite but it was played by a mandolin. It sounded so warm and soft and just very gentle.

I just stole my dad's mandolins (He rarely uses them, since he plays guitar) and copied the exact same cello fingerings of this piece, it sounds gorgeous...
