I'm going to put down the crack to coincidence because the sister moulds held up fine, so I'll contact TEMU and let them know with a link to the video and go from there!

@@kierannightingale5020 Thanks mate, she wasn’t as enthusiastic about it as I was but it didn’t go in the scrap pile either 😃😂😂
judging by the nonfill and cold lines your molds weren't hot enough and that's why the one cracked. If you have access to fire bricks you can build a top lidded shallow pre heat oven for the molds to keep them hot while pouring. They will fill a lot better and shouldn't crack the molds. Handling cool down will take a bit longer on the wait of course.
@@jzilch8410 thank you so much for this really helpful info and for confirming my suspicions I really appreciate it and I’ll have a look what I’ve got in the unit 🙏😊 do you think thermalite block would have the same thermal properties? @@shedtubeX Thanks for the return my friend.
I'd be tempted to drill that lid off the furnace and rivit it back on so it opens the other way so your burner could be out the back clearing the area to the frtont5 .😎
@@REVERENDAVERNUSMCC I had the exact same thought!! Great minds!! It’s definitely a design flaw imo 👍👍😁
Hahaha. I don't know how your vid came across my recommended but I'm glad I clicked. I thought I was the only one who melted a propane hose and had it catch on fire! I had a high pressure industrial Victor reg, and I maybe.. used co2 rated hose to my homemade burner! Mine was a bit more dramatic, because the hose caught on fire, then melted through fully, letting the hose flop around from the force of the gas escaping with 2' long stream of flame the entire time! Needless to say, when I rebuilt it, I made some changes so that I could run it at much lower pressures (around 10psi) instead of the 40-50psi I was using, and upped the orifice size. Took some experimentation to get it setup to run as well as v1 did, using a 023 orifice from a mig welder at 30-40psi let it REALLY suck some air down the venturi, so much so it was so lean it would blow out a torch trying to light it when cold!
Haha brilliant, thank you for commenting and confirming I am not the only one 🙏😂 A lesson learnt for the both of us 😂
@@shedtubeX Yeah seriously! I'll be honest, my v2 never ran as good as v1, but running 8-10psi of propane is a whole lot safer than 50psi! Even though it was about the same amount of fuel, 40psi going through an 0.023" mig tip has so much gas velocity it could suck in so much air and mix it really well. Going to 035 mig tip and 10psi was much slower, even if the fuel flow rate is similar, the gas speed, mixing, and air draw is much lower. But one doesn't nearly get smacked across the face by a flaming hose and go 'i can take it!' hah. Your mistakes from what I've seen in your vids are all the normal mistakes people make, myself included. Not having heavy duty wrench/pliers/grabbers etc to be able to grab heavy, hot things safely, not having a hammer to smack the ingot molds, wasting time by trying to preheat each cut of extrusion and gently place it in, instead of stacking them by the exhaust and go get everything else ready, etc. But that just comes with experience and learning IMO, nothing inherently BAD
@@dogsarebest7107 a little tickle of flames to the face sounds fun haha what doesn’t kill us and all that but jokes apart glad you’re ok, and thank you for the reassurance, I really appreciate it 😁

Be careful of copyright music bro. You won't be able to monetise your video
@@ABLReselling thank you yes I realised when going through the checks but rock gods the legends they are allow the use of their songs on TH-cam, does this mean I will be able to monetise this video? Is that permission? Thanks again 🙏
